The setting wasn’t really for me and if I’m honest I had to skim through the rest of the book after I’ve reached the 60% because I‘ve saw the demon thing has my father name and ugh …lol but the smut before that definitely was hot haha.

The dark truth by MeemsAngel82

This was fantastic! The writing sucked me right in and I got a feel for the characters right away. This was such a creative book and I loved the setting and the characters. The cuteness from her sibling to the chemistry between the two leads. Unconventional? Yes, hot-you bet!

As people were being taken she found herself left as a mom to her siblings. An evil force was taking people and she decided to put a stop to it.

The setting is cozy and its being disrupted by a terrible force. I felt for her and her littlest sibling especially, then the being she comes across. When she does cross him, wow. This was so good and it felt like a sexy fairytale. Not one your kids should be reading! How steamy these two were, my goodness. The scenes melted by reader and so did that HEA for a whole other reason. It was sexy and yet sweet and I love how he is with her family and his origin was so interesting! This story had it all and I look forward to more amazing writing like this!.

Where to start?! The beginning would be great...

The Dream Eater is taking children from the village. While they are snug in their beds, he comes and takes the children away. To never be seen or heard again. Now, Pru has a plan. She will lure the Dream Eater to her in a cave and keep him away from the children. She'll make him sleep! Only the potion she creates doesn't put him to sleep, it awakes his body and she must keep him busy. The cave they are in gets pretty steamy. During this time, Pru learns who he was before becoming a demon and why he was changed. Her first thought is how can she help him and save the children. Pru must use all her powers to keep the Dream Eater with her and busy!

what a rush! This book had me twisted. This is a steamy book with forced proximity.

Stunning dark romance that leaves you wanting just the right amount. Great little novella with a short but well-built world. We don't get many of the side characters. This is just a very well written short novella between pru and the Dream Eater. I wish it was a full-length novel. That's how well written it was. Although this one does reach an amazing end, you will not feel like you have been cheated by it being so short. A great spooky season read to get a monster dark romance with a lot of spice. 4 🌶 with a broken horn

In violets book, the demon He is under a compulsion to steal children for his dark God.. Pru Set off to kill him to save her brothers and the other children of the village.

There is a mishap, she brews the wrong spell.... And this is where our dark romance takes a turn. Through lust and barriers, she keeps the demon in the cave all night and is rewarded with a man in dawn's light.

🪻 This was a Novella and has two parts in it. I got the copy on the TikTok shop that comes signed and has the art prints which I loved! It was a very quick but spicy read which is exactly why I got it! I don't fully like the way it ended but I definitely think it was an interesting ending. I would definitely recommend this book to friends.

This book is beautifully written, no doubt about it! Violet Taylor really knows how to capture the way the characters interact with each other, the different settings they find themselves in and the things happening around them.

This is a wild short erotica. It's all about a human (or a witch) getting down and dirty with a demon. A demon, huh? Hmmm... I was left feeling kinda bummed at the end when I found out "who" the Dream Eater really is.

Even though Pru and the Dream Eater end up with a happily ever after, it feels a bit rushed. I mean, there's NO romance or any heartfelt "I love you's" exchanged between them. It's like they suddenly become a couple out of nowhere.

I guess what I love most are their steamy scenes after Pru’s spell casts its "abracadabra".

The demon terrorizing the village is known as the dream eater, snatching children away in the night. Until one night the dream eater is summoned by Pur racing takes a turn when Pur mixes the potion and The dream eater cannot resist the urge to claim her.

Demons and Damiana has quickly become my favorite book by Violet Taylor! Some of the few things that made me quickly fall in love with this book was the village setting, action fighting, a bad boy who is good at heart, and a big strong Viking!
Even with this book having several bonus chapters, I am hoping for a book 2 to continue Pur and the dream eater story!

Perfect smutty 💦 short story for Halloween 🎃 I loved the ending in this book the last few chapters where we learned who Dream Eater really was and where Pru helped him break the curse. The rest of it was ehhh for some reason this one wasn’t great FOR ME. I still feel like you should give it a try for Halloween it’s a quick enough read

I love to story from cover to cover it shows us just how strong the power of love is even with the additional help of some spells. The lovely Pru is head strong and only wants to protect her village and family for our death eater while she uses her magic to call him he mistake with the spells cause a different reaction. Our Death eater has forgotten what it was to be human but when he meets Pru she helps him to remember and keeps him safe from the darkness that wants his soul . This is a quick fast read that delivers the spice. When Pru a witch has to protect her siblings from the Daemon “ Dream Eater” she sets out to destroy him. A switch in ingredients lead to a mistake in her plan leaving her turned and the Dream Eater savage with need. Both turned on a biting for satisfaction causes a change in plans as they find themselves buried in each others arms.

This book was off the charts for spice and serves its purpose of being a quick read.

Oh, the Depravity! I loved it! A spell cast in haste leads to an unexpected, unwelcome, yet undeniable turn of events with a VERY satisfactory result. This was a surprisingly low-angst book although it has a very dark and possibly emotionally triggering subject. Violet Taylor has this knack of making a happy ending for characters dealing with very difficult times, who perhaps don’t always deserve the happiness they get, but have struggled through and forged the path that leads them to it. I wouldn’t always classify it as a redemption arc, but I think Demons and Damiana qualifies.

Tingles of anticipation coat my skin. “Now use those pretty little lungs to scream for me, Darkling, as I devour your last bits of innocence.” My breath hitches as he nudges my thighs wider. “And know that when I’m done with you, you’ll forget all about the man. Because I won’t stop until you’re drowning in darkness and it’s the monster you crave most of all…” His tongue lashes out like a whip, striking me across the ass. “Torsten!” I yelp. “I told you. I’m a demon now.” His tongue lashes me again. The sharp sting makes me squirm. His hands wrap around my thighs, spreading me as far as I can go. “And that makes you my pretty, little, darkling whore.”

In 2024 I am playing 'HAE or Nah?" where I determine if this couple will have a happily ever after or nah.
So will this couple have a HEA? YUP! No reason they shouldn't! Sure, they barely know each other, but they have the same priorities and the sex is great! Plus they are both supernatural and it doesn't sound like the village has tons of other choices so....

This was a super fun and sexy monster romance! It was short and NOT sweet!

Phew! This is short but freaking SPICY!!! We get our demon, The DreamEater who is summoned by witch, Pru, in an attempt to take him out before he steals more children. Of course, chaos ensues and Pru accidentally mixes an aphrodisiac spell instead of the sleep spell she plans (oops!) and they quickly fall into one another.

Featuring a hot as sin bone daddy and HEA, this short and spicy novella was right up my alley and perfect for any monster fans who want something quick and delicious to read on on their way to work, at home, or sitting in their church pews (I don't judge).

every page of this story felt like a deal I shouldn’t make but absolutely would. 🙂‍↕️ The demons are dark, the danger delicious, and the main characters chemistry? Straight up infernal. 🔥

This is my first monster book by Violet Taylor that I read and my first book by this new author for me. But Omg what a great story. You couldn't put your book down. The build up to this awesome monster story is awesome. This has a theme that you give everything for your family like Pru does and she does everything she can to save her siblings and protect her village. Violet Taylor is on my list of new authors to read with.

I struggled to finish this
I really struggled with this one. I generally don’t mind a darker story and it was steamy… but it was maybe TOO dark and it had a major ick factor of a monster taking kids (even if not his choosing) that I just couldn’t get past. Maybe you’re cool with that, don’t care or just want some smutty reading… if so, ignore me and full steam ahead!

This was a page turner! It's probably the darkest romance book I've read but it's so worth the read. Pru was super impressive, who'd be brave enough to do what she did? Well thank goodness she did because the consequences were sooo HOT! 🥵 The imagination of this author really sucked me in to all of it and I really enjoyed the ride. The ending could not have been better, and I've already purchased other books in this series! You definitely have a new fan 💜

The Dream Eater is taking children and soon, her little brothers and sisters will be next. She decides to try to trap the mobster with a spell but it goes wrong and instead both dosed with a massive dose of lust.
The sex scenes in the book are hot hot hot. The things that Pru get up to with the monster. Lets just say she definitely not a good girl.
If you like spice scenes, with a happy ending then this is the book for you.

This was a gripping and surprising tale that goes from suspenseful, to hot and depraved, to a wonderful ending for all. I loved the idea of a witch, Pru, going off to save the children of her village from a demon. In her haste to calm him when summoned, she dosed both him and herself with an aphrodisiac ;P What followed was hot, kinky and hot. Yeah, I know I said that twice but it's true ;D I loved the twist in this story and that the heat stayed high until the end. Fun read!

A quick spicy read!
The story was fast paced! (First spicy scenes in the first in the first 20 pages).

Took me about 45 minutes to read and definitely worth it.

I LOVE Violet Taylor, but this wasn't my favorite. The language and wording made it somewhat hard to follow (think witches, demon and viking language all mixed together). I kept having to look at the cover as the demon was described because I got somewhat confused.

The spice was definitely there! 🌶🌶🌶
