Rate this book
The first book from the popular ADHDinos webcomic, featuring over 40 new comics.

After he received an adult ADHD diagnosis in early 2022, author and illustrator Ryan Keats made lemons into prehistoric he began to use his lived experience to create hilarious comics featuring cute cartoon dinosaurs. The adorable brontosaurus main character, Dino, grapples with so many problematic tendencies we've all experienced, with or without a formal diagnosis of ADHD. And for the increasing number of people who have been diagnosed with Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, these comics are a great way to feel seen and empathize with, not to mention normalize ADHD's persistent symptoms. Find yourself drifting off during daily conversation? Struggling and losing the battle with multitasking? Maybe you should stop scrolling and do that thing? You know the one. If any of this resonates, you may or may not be a brontosaurus, but you're probably dealing with ADHD in the best way you day by day.

The Land Before Time Management is the perfect adult ADHD book for anyone trying to fully understand or explain the struggles and intricacies of this disorder, especially women with ADHD whose symptoms may differ from those addressed by typical ADHD tools. The humorous approach to the difficulties posed by the neurodivergent mind makes this ADHDinos book an excellent choice for anyone looking for ADHD gifts or funny coffee table books.

Funny and extremely relatable, plus the scientific explanations of symptoms coupled up with the simple and funny comic strips were a good combination.

A solid collection that effectively captures what it's like to live with anxiety and ADHD. The book was sufficiently informative and engaging, and I liked what an easy read it was. The art is cute and some of the comics are particularly relatable, especially those about procrastination and burnout.

Very funny, and surprisingly very helpful, The Land Before Time Management (Perhaps one of my favorite titles of all time) chronicles the life of a dinosaur that struggles with ADHD. The comic strip sheds light on common ADHD struggles as the little dinosaur shares his thoughts and perspective on why he can't get done the simplest of tasks in a timely manner.

Probably one of the most relatable comics I've read regarding ADHD, there were some moments that made me realize "Oh my god, I do exactly that." The comic strip definitely seems to be peppered in with the creator's own real life experiences and struggles, which gives it a very personal feel to it. Throughout some of the pages there are entire paragraphs written up to explain ADHD Symptoms and side effects, and for most readers (myself included) I'm sure some of these are things you've been experiencing before but never had a name for. So in this way the comic was incredibly educational. Probably a must read for people with ADHD or for anyone in general honestly. This comic book will inform you.

The comic definitely has that 'web' style that I would categorize as being very clean and minimalistic. While cute to look at, I don't think the art ever spoke to me in the way the situations in the comic did. And while I understand the need to smack your title right in the middle of the comic while its being shared online, for me the logo in the center of each page was more than a little distracting.

Overall, very funny, charming, and educational. Also very relatable.

The author of this book has ADHD and uses comics to share their experiences.

A little book where Dino experiences life as a Dino with ADHD. Some of these comic spreads are funny, but there are some that do hit home.

A good little book if you need reminding you're not the only one who is trying to get through life. Also could be useful for those who know people with ADHD so they can get a better understanding of what can be going on.

5 stars - while not every comics resonated with me, the majority did and it felt good to feel seen. I love the occasional I gave it to my partner so he can understand more about me as well.

A very cute 4 panel comic book. it's divided into chapters based on common symptoms or ADHD experiences and each one has a page or two explaining the author's thoughts about the symptom, and even citations about research to back up any generalized claims made- not so common in book like this.
The comics aren't all funny, many are sad/relatable, but this book would be a great addition to a library where ADHD folks aren't used to their struggles being visible (thinking schools, as one space).

As an adult (allegedly) with ADHD, I found this book entirely too relatable. To the point where hubby and I just sat down and read it together. I'm pretty sure I found it more entertaining than he did. But he definitely felt validated. Also a little smug. It's harder to insist you don't do the annoying little things your husband insists you do when it's presented to you in comic format with adorable dinosaurs. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Very quick read. Not terribly deep, but especially good as a practical introduction to what it's like having ADHD as an adult. Those with ADHD will find this highly relatable. Those who don't will experience an interesting perspective, at the very least. I particularly enjoyed that the comics are broken up occasionally by short paragraphs about the different symptoms and how they present. Told in a funny, tongue-in-cheek way, of course.

Wow! What an eye-opener for me. I live with 2 family members with ADHD and wish I had had this very engaging book sooner to help me understand (somewhat) what is going on in their brains all the time. I always knew they were highly intelligent people but didn't fully realize the constant battle they are fighting within themselves. I may have to reread this many times for me to gain even further understanding of their day to day struggles. Highly recommend this book for anyone in a similar situation.

This book is absolutely fantastic if you know anyone (of course you do) who is any bit neurospicy, this graphic novel is fantastic at discussing the challenges of ADHD with humour and cute graphics!

This book was a gift from a Doctor friend of mine, who also was diagnosed as an adult, and it's something my kids also read regularly to remind them that:
- they are not alone
- there are things we can do to help
- we can find joy in humour in difficult things

Highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone! It's such a great resource.

I’ve always been a fan of the ADHDinos comic, so as soon as I heard about a book version, I pre-ordered it. Some of the comics in it are new, and some are ones that were already online, but they’re all very amusing. Some of the strips are very touching as well. The author obviously has a lot of experience dealing with ADD and depression and the associated cycles. Dino and his brain are very relatable!

I bought this book because I love the webcomic and want to support the author. Read the comic online first. Full of shockingly relatable moments, even though I clearly don't have ADHD.

Took about ten minutes to read; hitting that 52 book target would be easy if I read a lot of books like this one.

ADHD it seems is everywhere. Although not diagnosed with it at times I feel that ADHDinos showed a couple instances I would fit.

I admit I checked it out from the library because it had dinosaurs and the first part of the title - Land Before Time. But it’s short and comics represent what a person diagnosed may feel with ADHD.

Hermosa experiencia.

"The Land Before Time Management" is a short read. It's very relatable, even for those without ADHD.

The art is simple but cute. I loved that there is a "cast" of dinos (and brain!).
Some of the comics are very touching. The author has a lot of experience dealing with ADH and it shows.

Also, a nice touch, the ebook has some links with extra information.

It is not only a "funny book", it is a collection of experiences. Very honest, almost like a hug in the form of a book.

A short read, one that is very relatable to those with ADHD or can help those who don't, understand those who do. The author's note in the beginning is also very important, just because you can relate to some of the book doesn't mean it's debilitating your life enough for you to have the condition.

Honestly a super relatable read! I sympathized with Dino as recognizing all of the situations he found himself in on a daily basis. This was a fun and quirky comic, and I'd recommend this to anyone wanting a quick but fun read.

I'd seen some of the ADHDinos comics floating around the internet, but this was the first time I'd read a collection of them. They really surprised me by how funny, sweet, and relatable they are! It definitely converted me to a fan, and I'd happily read any other collections Keats puts out.

Dino goes through every day life tasks and moments with ADHD. He helps share at least what his internal thoughts and reactions. I found it insightful to see that every person with ADHD struggles with simple tasks that may be easy to others.

Cute, but I found some of the cartooning to add more confusion than wealth the the narrative, and in some cases I though it missed the overlap of how each experience is connected/overlaps with the others.
