H.A.L.T.

This book is a game-changer for those struggling with emotional eating. It's like having a personal trainer for your mind and body. The author's approach is refreshing and hilarious, with tips like "LETGO" and "H.A.L.T." that will keep you on track. I particularly loved the food-mood connection and the "emotional hunger" description - it's like a stranger kicking in your door! But fear not, this book provides concrete tools and techniques to combat emotional eating and develop a healthy relationship with food. Say goodbye to guilt and shame, and hello to a healthier you!

The book is well written and addresses on the core issues of the new generation. Obesity and the other chronic diseases which are caused by obesity, are a major problem around the globe. This book addresses the obesity problem in a nice way how one can self control their urge for over eating. I recommend this book, specially to the youngsters.

A revelation

I am not into any kind of strict diet and suffer from hypothyroidism. After my thyroid cancer surgery, I lost my gland to it. Despite that I am able to keep my weight off and lead a healthy life. However, my daughter is not that lucky. I struggle to motivate her but never found an effective way. She is an emotional eater and bakes when upset. With the help of this book, I feel there is hope to understand and win this compulsion. And perhaps, lose weight in the process.

Conquer Emotional Eating is a practical resource that highlights the psychological mechanisms behind emotional eating, particularly negative automatic thoughts and self-sabotaging behaviors. It is useful for my thesis and my book as it supports the cognitive-emotional framework linking thoughts, emotions, and eating behavior, and helps translate scientific concepts into clear, applicable insight for readers.
