Boys and girls grow up listening to fairy tales. Flawless characters. The famous ‘Happily Ever After’, but what happens when the protagonist of the story suffers from anxiety? What if they are not brave enough? In this journey, Rosélina Johnson will have to learn how to deal with her new life as a hunted woman, her own powerful magic, the truth it was taken, and her own mind trying to trick her. And deal with a hot, tattooed, sarcastic, dark-haired man. Would she find the strength? And where? How? With whom?
(Okay, if that didn’t convince you, let me try again)
One day, I read in real-life fairy tales, the princess sometimes needs to befriend the dragon and kill the prince. (Well, you don't have to be that extreme. He could be useful *wink*). Twenty years after the death of the last member carrying the blood of a powerful family in the magical world. Those whose magic is more dreadful than ever imagine and whose magic could be stolen if the person was murdered - a rumor light up. A rumor of the last standing Lysion (AKA powerful family), starts to run frantically in the whole unordinary world. Known for their blessing from the gods (or curse, you decided), the Lysion family was once, a tale told to the kids. Twenty years ago, a game of hiding and seek. But all ended when Oldo Blake, a powerful man, killed the last Lysion. So it was said. Once upon a time…Fuck it. A hidden girl. A secret revealed. A hunt. With a bunch of stupid Other Siders after her and no idea how to control her so precious magic (yes, it is one more novel of didn't know I was ‘famous’ and powerful until someone almost killed me' novel) Rosélina Johnson discovered an extra weight on her back. From an invisible university student to a wanted woman with no experience in the magical world.
You destroyed me. The ending fucking phenomenal 👏. Idont know how to feel. I trusted you. I hate betrayes, but you took it on another level. Brilliant, but I hate you.
Nu-uh,not for me It became boring af before the 10th chapter and after 60%. Like you don’t need so many chapters to sum up the story. I know that Rosé doesn’t know much stuff about that world but you could at least develop the action a little bit while explaining some things.
I still think Aiden is suss
DNF at 78% but it still got 2 stars bc a big part of the dialogue was really funny and that’s what got me going
3.5 stars! I must say it’s a great debut with an interesting story! It was just way too long for me with scenes that could easily be shorter, and I also wasn’t a fan of the author’s notes in the story. But Kay and Rosé were cute<3
I’ve read thousands of books and I always thought they had to be written a certain way, a certain format, a precise way of doing things. I found this book and realized there is no certain way!! It is possible to write a book different then all the others. I found a unicorn book!! Loved it and can’t wait for the second one to come out. Don’t forget to drink water 😂 lol love it!!
The beginning of the book was so slow I usually can’t read books with slow starts but I decided to power through and I’m glad I did. Omg I literally was so into the tension between rose and kaydan I didn’t go to bed until 3 am🫣 But what was that ending omg my jaw was dropped the whole time. I’m still thinking about the end I don’t even know what to believe anymore. I don’t think I’ll recover from that ending ever. But I’m starting the next book now so Ig we will see.
This book was justtt sooo good I mean even the author is soo sweet But the ending it was soo twisted I hate you for it. Idk how to go back to my regular life now. The ending really messed up my mind I really never ever expected that. He wasn't even on list of my suspicions I mean- How do you get over such a ending I am having quiet a hard time with it. But really the book was great mind boggling even I just i hate you(author) for the ending 😭😭
I tried. I really tried to go through with it but no. It was just wayy too boring and it kept repeating itself like every two chapters. Couldn’t finish.
I was gonna give this book a three because to be honest Rosé pissed me off 90% of the book, but it’s 1 am and I’m crying because of that ending so I’ll give it a four just because I like to suffer.
