This is a must-read for any shifter lover! The author does a great job weaving Dane and Lucy's story. I can't wait to read what's next in the series! I'm an instant fan!

The author couldn’t keep the point of view straight. It was switching mid conversation. It happened multiple times in the same chapter in the beginning of the book. It needs serious editing.

Dane is the Alpha of his family he tries to do what is best for them at all times. He also runs the rodeo and try's to stay busy. When he gets hurt it's Lucy who treats him. He feels an instant attraction to her, but there is something more and he can feel it. Lucy has been through hell and she just wants to escape and have a better life. Meeting Dane, she doesn't realize her life is about to change. Dane is about to put it all on the line but someone is about to challenge him will he be able to prove himself? These two have pasts and issues that they will try to overcome. They have a passion and chemistry, but can they live happily ever after?

Lucy and Dane are couple goals! Dane is every girl's dream; protective, loving, patient and kind! While the story starts out with a damsel in distress vibe, it quickly evolves into a fiery fight of good vs evil and finding who you are without outside interference.Lucy & Dane’s relationship is quite the rollercoaster, the possibilities are endless with these two! I cannot wait to see where and what the Bear Spring Ranch crew does next!

This was a first time read by this author. I was instantly drawn into this book and read it in one sitting. Lucy and Dean have chemistry from the very first meeting. Dean is a good man with a hard and complicated past, Lucy is trapped in a dangerous situation. These two come together with the well thought out supporting characters and make a world that I got lost in. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

This book is amazing! If you are into Romance and or shifter series books this is a must read. I enjoyed this book so much that the only reason I put it down was because I had to. The storyline and characters pull you in from the beginning and I can’t wait to read more in this series! I love the strong female lead in this book as well. No damsel in distress in this romance . She is quite capable of doing everything for herself except that she is much better with her mate as he is with her.

Dane is a bear shifter who can’t shift because his bear goes crazy and kills everyone. But he can rodeo.
He meets Lucy, a human medic of some sort, at the rodeo and decides to rescue her from a weird abusive situation where someone wants to force her to be their mate. Who knows why. There didn’t seem to be a reason.
His own council is forcing him to find a mate because of reasons. He proposes that he and Lucy mate temporarily in a permanent mating ritual. I don’t really understand the plan, it’s not clear, and it doesn’t matter because they fall in love right away and do it for real.
Half the book is just wedding planning. Really boring wedding planning.
The POV’s are all first person, but none of the chapters are labeled, and the characters are flat, so it’s hard to tell whose POV you’re in sometimes.
This whole book needed better editing… but I don’t think editing would have helped it much. It was just too boring.

My first read from this new to me author and it was a good start to building a new world of shifters for me to get to know. Dane is a troubled bear looking to save everyone but himself. He never thought Lucy would be the one saving him.
