Millie moves back home after being gone. Her next door neighbor’s, Stone, a grump. She cooks/tries recipes for a living, which means she’s home a lot. She loves that her family lives in this small town.
Stone’s ex military. His father passed away 18 months before and he lost his mom when he was a teenager. Because it’s the holidays, he’s not the happiest he could be.
Little by little, Millie overcomes her shy personality and does sweet things for Stone, like cook him meals lol.
And Stone can’t help but want her curvy body 👀.
This was a quick read. It has one 🔥 scene, which was fine, but I needed more (🔥 and in general).
We got no info on their past intimacies, just that she’s on bc.
Of course, I wish it was longer. It’s not as Insta love as other books I’ve read, but I still wanted more.
I found this randomly in my recommendation list. And figured id give ot a go after reading the blurb. Im in love with grumpy and sunshine romance reads. But to call this that is...wrong. for starters its incredibly short, like no more than 50 pages. so any real build up of romance is off the table. So then i was expecting it to lean more towards erotica...once again wrong. There is one sexual scene and it felt like reading read a list and not about passion or lust. Overall i got more information about the town and their projects than on the romance. Overall the story was oddly paced and the characters were flat and arguably not even grumpy or sunshine. I found myself skim reading it half the time and wishing i was skimming on the rest.
Quick and short. Millie and Stone are neighbors, he was a grump and she was sunshine. Though he acted like an asshat to Millie at their first encounter she remained kind and welcoming to Stone.
He helped with putting a decoration on her house without her knowledge, but she saw it the next morning. To return the sentiment, Millie cooked something for Stone, and this is where they sort of had a truce.
This is a quick read with less than 60 pages. If readers want something fun and fluffy they can read this. No drama and angst, definitely just some light reading experience.
I'm afraid Millie and Stone didn't do it for me, I found them difficult to relate to and was therefore not very invested. I didn't dislike them in any way, they were just very meh! Although I did actually cringe and shudder when Stone asks 'are you fertile right now?' That did not sweep me off my feet and make me swoon! Whilst I didn't like this book it won't stop me trying others in the series as I really like other books by Jessa Joy that I have read. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
This was a fun fast read that had fab characters with smoking hot chemistry. I loved how Millie and Stone interacted - him so grumpy, at first, and her shocked at how rude he was...but then impressed with his kindnesses ;P Together they made a great couple that I loved seeing them find an HEA...almost as much as I enjoyed seeing their pets become besties ;D
WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

Jessa Joy kicks off her new Curvy Girls Date series with Curvy Girl and the Grump Next Door. This short, sweet and super steamy enemies-to-lovers / instalove romance is a fun, quick read. Stone and Millie are next door neighbours in Snowflake Falls; after losing his father eighteen months ago he has been known to be quite the grump around town. Millie has just returned to town after living in the city, and upon their first meeting, he leaves her with a sour first impression. But Stone cannot deny the attraction he feels for his beautiful and curvy new neighbour. Will her kindness break down his walls or will he continue to push her away as he has done everyone else? An entertaining debut for this new series.

Millie Bright has just moved back to her hometown of Snowflake Falls. She is an author of cookbooks and a blog.
Stone is former military and was injured, his father passed last year in a car accident and he relocated to town to get away from the memories. He owns a gardening business.
When they initially meet he is rude and grumpy. The second time they run into each other in the local grocery store they chat and she decides to make him some Christmas dinner so he doesn't have to live on the turkey pot pies he bought. When he returns her food containers he ends up kissing her. The next time they meet they end up spending the night together. They fall in love and get their HEA.

I enjoyed Curvy Girl and the Grump Next Door: Book 1 of Curvy Girls Date. It’s short read. Millie just met her grumpy next door neighbor, Stone. He’s peachy. Stone knows he was rude but he needs to keep away from his new neighbor but they keep running into each other and he can’t resist any longer. Millie likes Stone but she knows he’s leaving town soon so she tries to separate her feelings. This was a sweet storyline and lovable characters. I would definitely recommend this book and I’m looking forward to more in the series.

Millie returned to Snowflake Fall from the city and moved into a house owned by her family. Stone had moved to Snowflake Falls 18 months ago after the death of his father. He was used to not having a neighbour and was known as the town grump. When Millie introduced herself he didn’t make a good first impression. He was used to pushing people away. He felt and instant connection to Millie and didn’t know what to do. Their feelings were too strong to keep them apart for long. Sweet, steamy romance with amazing chemistry, a vulnerable, loving, if a little grumpy hero and a lovely HEA.

Millie has returned to Snowflake Falls after living in the city, when she first meets her new neighbor, he is grumpy and rude. The more she interacts with Sloan the more she believes he is the one for her.
Stone is alone, he came to Snowflake Falls after his father died, he does not like to socialize. There is something about Millie that draws him to her. Can he keep pushing her away or will he decide to hang on to her?.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This book is part of the Snowflake Falls series and tells the love story of Millie and Stone. Millie moves in beside the town grump and boy is he! It was fun to read how Millie slowly got under Stone's grumpy exterior to find a truly nice guy. I wish Stone's background was a little more detailed but overall I really liked this book. Looking forward to reading more about the couples living in Snowflake Falls.
Stone is Millie’s grumpy neighbour but there’s something about him that draws her in. Stone lost his father his father a year ago and now finds himself alone. He’s closed himself off and keeps people at arms length until he meets Millie. There’s something about her sunshiny attitude and appearance that has him rethinking things and making plans to be more involved and not being such a loner. A cute fast paced read with a grumpy guy who’s ready to find some happiness with his sunshiny neighbour. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book was a very sweet read. Millions moves back to her family home, and it seems like Stone isn't happy about that when her letter accidentally ends up in his yard and Stone acts all grumpy, gquestion why she is living there because he is an ex military and doesn't let his guard down.... Millie works from home cooking recipes, she ends up cooking for Stone since he seems to be alone.... Things between them start to heat up and get steamy.... I really enjoyed this book and will try more of this series....
I enjoyed this quick read. I didn’t realize how short this book was when I first started and was confused as to why it was moving so fast, but after I realized I understand why. I liked the sweet girl next store main character and the grumpy “damaged” next door neighbor who ended up falling for each other. They could definitely make it into a much longer story if the author wanted and the character development could be expanded on if there were more added to this story at a later time. Overall it was a great story!

Millie has just moved back to Snowflake Falls. Her next-door neighbor is a grump but good-looking. She just needs to figure out if he's always mad or just hungry.
Cute, quick, and no real drama. Very fast read, perfect for lunch hour or nap time.
Millie is back in her hometown of Snowflake Falls enjoying the quiet small town life when she meets her hot, grumpy next door neighbor. Stone is new to Snowflake Falls moving there after the death of his father. Stone likes staying to himself but meeting Millie has him falling for her. This is a sweet grumpy/sunshine love story with well developed and believable characters and a happily ever after. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
I think it's cute when the sunshine wins over the grump. Millie did a great job with Stone, and maybe Basil helped. This is a quick fun little read in my favorite book world of Snowflake Falls. Cameos abound but you don't need to have read the others to know what's going on.

I thought that this was a good book. I enjoyed Millie and Stone together. Both Stone and Millie are attracted to each other but Stone tries to keep Millie and everyone else at arms length. This opposites attract book was sweet with a little bit of steam.

This was a short but intense story with characters I really cared about. Stone and Millie both drew me in immediately. It's low drama with a dash of humor and a whole lot of feel good moments. Well worth reading as a pick me up and a solid effort from the author.

I absolutely loved this short story and cannot wait to see if there will be more set in this world. I fell right back in love with Snowflake Falls and all of the characters. Millie (h) moves back to Snowflake Falls and find that her next door neighbor, Stone (H), is a bit of a grump. Alone with no family, Stone puts up barriers keeping to himself until he meets curvy girl Millie and instantly finds himself drawn to her despite her bright, sunny disposition. A sweet grumpy sunshine romantic quickie.
Millie has moved in to her parent's house. So happy but it seems that her neighbour is less so. He's most definitely the grinchy type. Still there is something underneath it all. Maybe some home cooked food is what's needed to melt the ice. For his part Stone took one look at his new neighbour and became instantly tongue tied. The words he wanted never came out right. It's a disaster!
A sweet short holiday romance with neighbors falling for each other. His name is Stone which he imbodies by his stony facade while, his neighbor Millie Bright equals to sunshine name. Liked how they have nervousness between them and find attraction.

I like how Stone starts out so grumpy but starts to have a bit of introspection and become part of the community. And Millie is a great sunshine. She is happy and open with everyone, but not annoyingly positive or pushy.

Curvy Girl and the Grump Next Door is a delightful story of Millie and Stone. Millie is shy and Stone is grump, but she is able to warm his heart and bring light into his world.
Great fast read to get lost in and perfect for an escape.

The grump and the girl who wanted him but was scared to really get to know him. The chemistry was a magnet and even with all his grumpiness , it started melting away because of her and love found it way. A great read and you are are going love this as much as I did. I cant wait for more in this series.
