This book came about because Neal was driving Amy to get one of her hand surgeries. Upon a turn, five minutes from the hospital, they were crashed into. It was brutal, to say the least. Neal kept kicking himself as it was the first time he had been in a wreck in over thirty some years. Amy kept blaming herself as it was because of her they were there! Well, upon a walk, Amy turned to Neal and said, “Dad, I can’t take this anymore. We are both blaming ourselves for the car wreck, and it’s entirely too much to bear alone. How about we each take some of the blame? 50/50 ?” Neal replied with a sigh, “I can handle that.” It was exactly what both parties needed to realize it was neither ONE person’s fault.
