Author's Note: This book has been reprinted in a new, combined edition titled "Sparrow and The Stream" and is available in paperback and ebook editions.
-------------------------------------------
At the end of the twenty-first century, a decade after the VR-evolution that sent everyone into the virtual world known as The Stream, a fifteen year old girl living off the grid has to leave the safety of her home high in a fire watch tower to search for her hard-nosed mother who has been missing for nearly two weeks.
Using her closed-circuit robot companion and a patchwork paramotor, Sparrow Hoodia sets out on a search and rescue mission that will take her places beyond her wildest dreams…bending the nature of reality itself.
(a note for readers: this is part one of a six part story, that will be released serially over the course of six months.)
Every FC book is better than the last, and this one is his best yet. Really cool take on Sci-Fi and every one of the six parts built the world in cool ways. Great job, my friend.
Exactly the book I needed after reading Ender’s Game recently, but my reasoning would spoil both books lol.
(I read all 6 parts but only put this one on so it wouldn’t cheat my reading goal by 5 extra short books. YOU HAVE TO READ ALL SIX, OBVIOUSLY. Four and five are my favorites)
I did really enjoy this short read! A nice tastier I hope of this authors style of story telling! It was a quick but very interesting read! I would really like to find the next part, it looks like it will be very good!
