Three years ago, budding rockstar Levi Kelley broke up with the love of his life. He knew a long-distance relationship would be hard, but he didn’t know it would break him. As a teen, he’d been thrown out then exploited for his unusual witch abilities, so the one thing he couldn’t handle was the crushing feeling of abandonment. And that’s exactly how he felt after one too many missed connections, miscommunications, and disappointments. There wasn’t anything to do but go their separate ways. But now, after two years of touring the world, Levi is finally coming home to Keating Hollow… and his one love, Silas Ansell.
Air witch Silas Ansell has always wanted two things: a successful acting career and Levi Kelley. At one time, he’d had both. Then he lost Levi, and his acting career went sideways when his paranormal drama was canceled. Now he’s coming home, determined to get both back. But what will he do if he has to choose between the two… again? Is love enough or will he find a way to get everything he’s ever wanted?
Deanna is a native Californian, transplanted to the slower paced lifestyle of southeastern Louisiana. When she isn't writing, she is often goofing off with her husband in New Orleans, playing with her two shih tzu dogs, making glass beads, or out hocking her wares at various bead shows across the country. I was so darn excited to finally, finally see Levi and Silas’ story! I was just so torn apart when they called it quits, and I couldn’t wait to see how they’d get back together. I didn’t see this one coming exactly: a movie?!? LOL! Poor guys; they just had a rough time seeing each other so close and not being a couple. While I do wish the part with the producer was handled a little more show as opposed to tell, I still quite enjoyed this lovely romance. I am excited to see what this talented author has in store next to pluck my heartstrings like she always does. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
Rating: Strong gazillion stars but I had to be satisfied with 5 stars
Oh my goodness! What a great story! Levi & Silas has needed a story of their own for a long time and Deanna Chase didn't disappoint us! I loved every word of it! It held me hostage from the very first page. If life commitments didn't get in the way I would have finished this in one day! It was absolutely amazing.
Silas and Levi have had a rough life before meeting. Silas, an actor, whose mother worked his so hard just for the money. His sister took over managing his career, Silas settled down with scripts and was able to have a life outside of acting. In walks Levi, a musician, and they had a relationship which was somewhat rocky and a lot of misunderstandings.
I'm not going to give away anything because I don't do that. The writing was superb and if you have been reading the Witches of Keating Hollow series then you know that this book will be exceptional and we find Silas & Levi rekindling their relationship. They take it slow and simple.
The characters are amazing and I say this every time but I would so love to live in Keating Hollow but alas it is a fictional town. But while reading you get so involved you really think that the town and characters are real.
I have been a long time reader of Deanna's books and she never disappoints her readers. HIGHLY RECOMMEND "Return of the Witch" and the "Witches of Keating Hollow" series
I absolutely love the Witches of Keating Hollow! I've loved every one of the books in this series so far and this one was exceptional! This was Silas and Levi's love story. We readers were introduced to Silas and Levi a few books back when they were both young and a bit insecure. They fell in love and eventually moved into a house together. Their love bloomed and when their careers took off sending them in different directions, they broke up.
Silas is a TV and movie star. Levi is a rock star. Levi is offered a role playing opposite Silas in his latest movie after the original co-star is seriously injured in an accident. Levi accepts the job thinking after three years he'll be able work with Silas. Neither of them were ready because they were both hurt, angry, and still in love with each other.
What happens next is a wonderful love story that transcends gender and instead of focusing on two men who are in love, focuses on two people who are in love and who have deal with the complex emotions surrounding their past, present and future. This was a beautiful love story that I was enchanted with.
They each had their own challenges growing up. Levi wanted to succeed in his rock music career. Things seemed to go his way. The friend who became so much more supported him. At least until there seemed to be no time for THEM. On the road, and so many other interruptions to time together finally kept them apart permanently. Would his witching abilities make a difference?
Silas had dreams as well. Acting and a relationship with his love, Levi. Try as hard as he did, be as understanding as he could, he finally gave up. It was no longer a relationship. He lost more than Levi. Read to find out.
Both had career disappointments. Is it possible to find each other again? If these guys are new to you, it is a touching story with characters you will care about and wish for their lives to find more. Other characters we have come to love will add to the story.
For those who aren't familiar with the town, it is a town filled with good witches who work together to heal and help their neighbors professionally and personally. Not your evil witch many have come to expect in reading.
Silas and Levi!!! Finally it’s the guys turn, yay.
Omg I know the anticipation just makes the book more worth while lol but seriously waiting for this story has been torture, really lovely torture but…. So was it worth the buildup? I mean if your a Keating Hollow fan like me you’ve been following, Silas & Levi’s romance for years of angst, build-up and heart-break, so now we finally get the HEA and I’ll admit there has been a few times I wondered if it would ever happen lol So was I excited to get this story? You get, I stopped reading my current book, stopped packing boxes and settled back into Keating Hollow and getting reacquainted with Silas and Levi!! Their relationship is bench-mark worthy, they’ve weathered storms, had loving warm moments, hit all the emotional rollercoaster points and ended beautifully. Oh and the set up for the next Keating Hollow was amazing Befana Bay is already becoming a favorite and I haven’t read the first book in this exciting new series yet so I’m excited for that up-coming release.
Love this story, love how Deanna wrote a story about how true love really should be. The story was based on two male witches that were talented in their careers also And Joel Leslie performances was spot on. Deanna wrote a great story and the descriptions was great you actually felt like you were inside the story. The word building was strong and flowed smoothly. Love how Deanna wrote a M/M witch story and how she picked Joel , his voice was fantastic both the male part and very strong for the female parts. Actually some screams had me laughing especially between Silas ( one of the hero’s and his sister Shannon) Hero’s are Silas who I mentioned above and Levi ( his love interest) a rock musician . Both men broke up two years ago because they didn’t know how to say NO to their careers, until the universe, life threw them back together, maybe saying , you belong together, will Levi and Silas take that chance again, will they know to say NO to some commitment.
I can’t say enough about Joel performance in the audio he was outstanding
Silas Ansell and Levi Kelley have both experienced hard times and a troubling life. Silas was an actor. Levi was a musician. And the stress of trying to find time for each other pulled them apart. Three years have passed and Levi is at last coming home to his life in Keating Hollow. Silas is also heading home. Will Levi and Silas reconcile and rekindle their love for each other? Or is it too late to start again?
This is a well-written story with characters who will draw you right in. The town is full of friendship, love, forgiveness, and redemption. Silas and Levi’s return home put them exactly where they needed to be to work things out. Do you believe in second chances? Grab your copy and see if their love is strong enough to save what they almost lost.
We have read bits and pieces of Silas and Levi for so long. We finally get their story and it was well worth the wait.
Levi comes back to work on a film that also stars his ex, Silas. He doesn’t realize how hard it is going to be, especially since their parts on screen fall in love. It brings all of the emotions back to the forefront.
This story is a beautiful second chance romance. It is about realizing what was lost, what has been found and building the trust to start again. Love all these characters and their magical town.
We got a sneak peek at the next two books and I can’t wait! I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
This story is incredible!! I've been loving Silas and Levi's story since they first got together and this book was the ultimate payoff. It wasn't easy for Silas and Levi to find their way back to each other due to so much hurt in the past, but reading them work through their issues was incredible. I cried so much throughout the book. Both tears of sadness and joy.
This is one book I will definitely be re-reading!! I now can't wait for the next book in the series. Deanna Chase is and always will be one of my favorite authors. This book proves why that's true.
Deanna Chase does not disappoint with the story of Levi and Silas. I wasn't sure where the story would go or how it would develop and I was pleasantly surprised. So many of the past characters played into this one and as usual there were antics, laughs, misunderstandings and overall the triumph of love. If you have any concerns about reading about two guys then rest assured it is tastefully done and you are rooting for them in the end.
Enjoying the myriad of relationships among the families and witches of Keating Hloow.
The series has charm galore and it’s fun to enjoy a happily ever after ending, though main characters Levi and Silas really have to fight against a lot of hidden evil plots and villains to get there.
The rest of the warm and relatable characters breathe life into this story and have me cheering for them too - like watching a Christmas movie with a family happy and safe ending.
Those of us who have been eagerly reading each Keating Hollow book were impatiently awaiting Silas and Levi's story. Having gotten to know these characters from other stories they are dear to my heart and I was rooting for them to heal their broken relationship. The story did not disappoint. Love the romance, friendships, and community woven throughout each story.
I disliked this story completely. If I had known it was going to be about gay men, I would not have read it. It would be no different than if it had been about gay women. I believe these types of books should be classified differently. I'm sure my comment will start a shit storm, but its my review. I have no problem with LGBTQ+, but I don't need to read about it.
for the audio I was rooting for Levi and Silas from the start. Star power means nothing when it comes to love. These two characters were so wonderful. The little peeks at Levi through the last couple stories left me waiting for his story. Joel Leslie was a new narrator for me. Being new for me, it took me a little bit to be lulled into the magic of the characters. He did a fine job with the different voices and was a good choice for Levi and Silas.
Two years after Levi says goodbye to Silas, a project comes along that has both of them staring in and the flames are beginning to rise again, but will they ever be together again? Read the story about how this relationship either comes to life or how it all crumbles to the bitter end.
All of the details are in the inside of the book. A very very good read!
Levi and Silas are such a sweet couple that in previous books it had been hard for me to see their suffering. I was so thrilled to read their story and was so impressed with how beautifully Deanna Chase wrote it. No spoilers here but I will say it is a lovely addition to those series collection.
Silas and Levi broke our hearts when they broke up. It was devastating to see them struggle and give up. But the time apart did seem to give them additional time to mature and realize what was most important to them. It seemed inevitable that they would find each other again and I am happy for it. I loved this book and these characters.
I’m nutshell, not my favourite book in the series, of which I have read all the earlier books. After this many books, it’s not hard to figure out how it will end. Thus, how it arrives at the ending is what makes the story interesting. This one fell short. I guess revisiting a past I’ll fated relationship didn’t really work for me.
Audiobook: Silas and Levi’s story was everything that I hoped it would be! Cleverly written and heartwarming. Expect to experience a gamut of feelings! Love this series! The narrator did an excellent job with bringing the book to life! I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Levi's book is here!!! All grown-up, Levi and Silas had a history years ago and meet back up on the set of a movie. Their reunion has ups and downs as they work through past issues of abandonment, the paparazzi, and priorities. I love the love between Levi and Silas. Their willingness to work through their past mistakes and hurt for a chance at their forever love.
Keating Hollow is one of my most favorite places to read about. I love how interesting the story always is, but my favorite part are the characters that Deanna Chase creates. I have been waiting for Silas and Levis’s story. It did not disappoint. It was beautifully done!
I was sad when I'd read in an earlier book about Levi and Silas braking up, I'm glad they got their happy ending. Great storyline and I can't wait to read the next book. I received this book as a Free ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
I absolutely love Silas and Levi and I'm so glad that they have another chance to be around each other and spark true love, again. This relationship is so pure and beautiful. I can't wait to read about them in future books!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
It's finally Silas and Levi's story! I was sad when these two split, but it's now years later and they're working together on a film. Rather awkwardly.
This story was sweet! I enjoy a forced proximity romance, and this was that and more. I liked how they didn't jump straight back together, and also how they wanted to work on fixing the mistakes that cost them the relationship previously.
A sweet romance, with some hilarious parts (Shannon!) that was a joy to read. Keating Hollow books always leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy!
This book was amazing! I really enjoyed Levi and Silas’s story! I always enjoy visiting Keating Hollow and getting to visit old friends and make new ones! I cannot wait to go back!!
Keating Hollow is a charming place to visit. These books are so much fun and I love the characters. I love the happily ever after for Levi and Silas, and look forward to the next one.
I loved Levi and Silas's story. Was a story of heartbreak ,redemption, forgiveness but the for front was always the love between the two. Seeing the battle of emotions with both was great reading. Also love the little look into Augusts life Looking forward to seeing more... This is a MUST READ.
Silas and Levi[s story is well worth the wait. The story quickly drew me in and kept me glued to the pages. The uthor does an incredible job of bringing Silas and Levi’s second chance at love to life.
Deanna Chase does not disappoint with the story of Levi and Silas. I wasn't sure where the story would go or how it would develop and I was happily surprised. Past characters played into this one and as usual there were antics, laughs, misunderstandings and overall the triumph of love.
Wipes and Levi finally get their happy ever after. Likeable characters, interesting story, gentle use of magic that doesn't overwhelm the story. Groundwork was laid for two sequels. Good read.
