Listen, I was not even a little bit prepared for Jaseon’s psychotic azz. The title of this book did not lie. That fool was a certified maniac. Honestly, calling him a maniac may be too tame because, Jaseon McKnight’s crazy was on a completely different level. If anybody can get it (and I do mean ANYBODY) was a person, it would be Jaseon. He was not above threatening, puttin’ them hands on anyone, or killin’ anyone who even looked at him sideways. Jaseon was definitely less talk and all action. Breonna is a Pre-K Teacher’s Aide who is sick and tired of being sick and tired of her unfaithful boyfriend. She’s slowly but surely making moves and biding her time until she can finally be done with Tareek’s triflin’ azz. While having a disagreement with one of her student’s mama, in walks the man who is going to change her life in ways she could never imagine. Breonna and Jaseon were the new and, dare I say, improved Bonnie and Clyde. These two matched each other’s crazy perfectly. Yeah, she was just as certifiable as his azz. Cuffed by a Certified Maniac took me on a tumultuous and adventurous journey, and I so enjoyed the ride. This book was full of drama, toxic behavior, violence, and raunchy sex. The characters were a hot azz mess but, I absolutely loved all of them. The messiness and pettiness was A-1 and I was here for it. Oh, and, I peeped game on Natalie’s triflin’ azz very early on. I knew what type of time she was on from the moment she was introduced. There were too many mistakes that could’ve easily been corrected by an editor and that’s what kept me from giving this book 4 stars. But, with this being the author’s debut novel, I still think she did a really good job and I would recommend you add this to your TBR.

Thoroughly enjoyed this!!!
I was tickled the entire time reading this story. I seriously have a thing for Jayceon real bad. But my girl Breyona stole the show. She is probably one of the best written female main characters I've read in a long time. She wasn't whiny. She wasn't whoa is me. She took her lumps and moved forward. She loved out loud. She offered grace and she also didn't take no stuff. I loved her. This was an extremely enjoyable read for me. I laughed out loud several times. Amir is also bae. I loved how everything was wrapped up nicely in a bow without a dreaded cliffhanger. Just a fell story. And I appreciated that. Definitely recommend if you want a highly entertaining, messy, crazy story.

Very few books leave me speechless but this one did. Jae definitely lived up to his name as being a certified maniac. He and Bebe were a great match but so many things were happening throughout the story to keep them from being together the way that they would have liked. I liked the plot and all the twists that came with the story. It was a solid debut from the author.

I'm not sure if the word "maniac" properly describes Jaseon. He was crazy, so all I can do is laugh.Breonna and Jaseon were definitely a match I’m speechless it was really a lot going on.

I just had to read this book, as I had been seeing all the buzz about this maniac! So, I’ve seen crazy and read about crazy too, but have I experienced anything like Jaceon? Naw! Hell naw!🤣 His ass is beyond nuts, and I loved every minute of it! The way I hollered reading this thang here, I’m sure made me sound crazy too! 😂 Miss Breonna, I sensed she had a bit of crazy in her too, right from the jump! She was sick and tired of that triflin’ ass Tareek, and I knew she would soon blow! That heifer Natalie, her so-called friend, just wasn’t sitting right with my spirit! I knew she was a hater, but damn! Bebe should have been watching her ass closer! 🤬 When Jay walks into her Breonna’s classroom, and she hears that voice, she is stunned to silence. When she turns around and sees him, she knows that he bout to change her ish up! I loved their back and forth, and at times I couldn’t tell who was crazier! With Breonna playing Firestarter, and channeling her inner Leona Spinks and Jacqueline Chan, she had my damn head spinning! 🤣 Then Jay just states that he is going to take people out with his hollow tips, in casual conversation, like that ish is normal! Bruh what? 👀😂Now here come the twists, turns and revelations of who is connected to who, made me gasp a couple times! Like these folks is bold as hell! Don’t they know Jay ain’t right in the head? Whew…… toxic? Yes ma’am. Characters you love to hate, ummm yeah. Head spinning drama? Yes, for sure. Wild and crazy sex checkmate! I really enjoyed this read! Hope Amir and Mo get a story now! 👍👍👍

Waste of time
This book started off great. I just knew I found a great book and even recommended it to a friend. Then I don’t know what happened. I just knew the story would get better but unfortunately it didn’t. I’m not sure how it has so many 4 & 5 star reviews but I’m good on this author. The storyline wasn’t thoroughly thought out and it was rushed. I ended up skipping and skimming the story just so I could finish it. The things the main characters were doing were crazy and over the top. Definitely not a well thought out story.

Jaseon won me over. His level of crazy but sweet was everything I love to read in a book. Bebe was just as crazy and she didn’t play any games with him.
This book was hilarious and entertaining. Definitely a page turner for me.

This was too fiction for me.
I like my fiction to be more reality based, obviously there are times when I’m reading something a bit crazy or dark. And it can veer into the this is unrealistic realm.
But this… the MMC was exactly as the title says… a certified maniac. And absolutely ridiculous. Along with the FMC.
Initially I was intrigued, about 40% in- I had settled on a rating and for me the story became even more dramatic and extra that the rating kept dropping.
For me this was so bad, I don’t think I care to read book 2.

Perfect love story!!
Jaseon Armonee McKnight is my favorite character for 2023 so far. The balance of craziness and love is unmatched. Bebe was a good females. She was not week and she stood her ground. They were a prefect match for each other.. New author to me. Good job

Who’s the real maniac here?
Great book!!! I laughed several times throughout this book. Jay was just misunderstood and Bre came along with her crazy self and just added to him being misunderstood.
This book moved fast but that’s what happens when a crazy person (Bre) gets with a misunderstood person and makes him crazier…
I loved, loved, loved this standalone. Great job Nek. I look forward to reading more from you.

I hated the grammatical errors in this book.
This book was good though. The storyline was kind of predictable with who kidnapped Bre and who shot at Jaseon. I really did like how Mo was a real one and a real bestie. Honestly Bre and Jaseon love was kind of toxic. He was willing to kill and die behind her though and I loved that for them.
I actually like how it ended and Tyreek and the dad got exactly what they deserved. They both deserved to die cause they did all that for a girl that didn’t want Tyreek and money that the dad felt he deserved even though he wanted nothing to do with any of his kids. Whew the audacity.

Listen JUST READ IT!!!! I could say so much about this book BUT just know it was good from beginning to end. Jay DID NOT play when it came to Bre and I love that for them both, cause she didn’t play about him either. There was lots of laughs that I enjoyed and I’m glad they got there happily ever after!!!!

This was a first by this author and I will be reading more.

March 29, 2023Im flabbergasted because if there was a book that actually lived up to it’s name, this would be it. Jaeson was a certified maniac and the fact that I ate this book up says so much about me. Breonna was done with her trifling ex but things sped up when she met real boss and they sat in their crazy together. This is a fast paced book! I mean it is full of drama, violence, dysfunction and steamy scenes. I will say that the author definitely needed content warnings for multiple scenes in this book and the unnecessary rudeness from the MMC was a turn off. I felt this book had so much going on that I felt that it took away from the romance between the main characters. Overall, it was an entertaining read and debut. If you like a fast paced mess full of crazy people and crazy situations, read this book

There are so many hilarious moments in the book. I read it in one sitting. For this to be a debut it didn’t miss at all.
Breona is a Day care teacher and she happens to teach Jaseon’s daughter. After a incident happens at daycare Breona meets Jaseon for the first time and there is an instant attraction. Breona is in a relationship though so she can’t act on it. Breona’s relationship is on the outs and after a shocking revelation and drama at her job caused by Jaseon’ baby mama Bre is driven into the arms of Jaseon where she feels safety. Jaseon is an absolute maniac and when it comes to Breona and his daughter Karlie he’ll do damage to whoever.
I didn’t trust Natalie from the slick comments from the start. I loved Monique and her loyalty to Breona. Bre herself had several funny incidents and had me questioning if both her and Jaseon were crazy. When she hit Sydnee with that throat chop I knew she was just as crazy as Jaseon. Overall this was a great read and it will keep you cracking up.

Who the heck just ups and kidnaps someone Jaseson that’s who 🤣🤣🤣. That man has problems and he truly is the maniac that the cover stats 🤣. Breonna is just as crazy as Jaseson is because Tyreek should have listened to her words, my mouth dropped and I laughed so loud at Breonna and those curtains 🤣. This book is as a HOT mess of goodness, Amir situation almost had me in real tears I’m not going to lie. Amir is funny and had me laughing throughout the whole book. I wonder if him and Monique will get a book? I kept screaming Jaseon WTH is wrong with you, why can’t you communicate with Bebe 🤦🏾♀️. That man is so ignorant but had me weak the whole book and I loved his craziness (I think something is wrong with me) 🤣🤣🤣. Now I was worried at first but I was thinking Breonna wouldn’t do this crazy man like that 🥴👀😱. Bebe as Jaseon baby girl would call her is beautiful loyal and tad bit unhinged in my eyes. She has one foot out the door with her current boyfriend due to his infidelities and walks right into another relationship with our Certified MMC Jayceon
Bebe stay saying “we can run” ! She was down to ride with hers! 😂
This story had me laughing and saying they both are just crazy! But I loved every bit of their craziness! They crazy but I’m gonna stick beside them!

I liked and enjoyed this story mostly; I did not love it. The writing style is not my style for enjoyment. It isn't easy when I have to reread sentences and content to understand the intent. Urban isn't my go-to genre... I need to remember that fact when I tackle this genre. Breonna was a lot to deal with, and all the fighting, lies, and foolery with Jaeson's business stuff was just.... See what you think. But. Jaeson was all in love with Breonna. That was the best about this tale.

This was a certified banger! The character development was top tier! I love how Jaseon wanted to seek help to better himself but was still ignorant. Bebe matched his fly. She was just as crazy and ignorant as him and I loved it! I loved she was not a weak female and a push over. These characters kept me laughing! I'm looking forward to what Nek Mills is coming up with next.

I love unhinged MMCs. Men who are certifiable. They pull me in, and this book had me on the hook, but the story was stretched out. It could have easily been 100 pages shorter with no problems. The storyline was good, but the character moments really were melodramatic. I was eating it up and enjoying it for what it was, but the length was a tad bit much. Ultimately, it was a fun ride

I loved it. Both Jayseon and Breonna were so unhinged. I don’t get too many reads with the fmc is just as unhinged as the mmc but it was perfect. Drama filled and funny. There’s betrayal and plot twists. Jay and got me tight at times but they got it right. This gave me everything I needed. Definitely Recommend.

Bebe claims she doesn’t like his crazy antics, but be ready to fight over him at the drop of a hat. This book had these ppl acting delulu. They can have a full on argument caused by disrespect and all it takes is for another woman to give him attention and now Bebe is ready to suck him off. Guys toting guns, fighting over the same chick, dude claiming a chick that’s not even his yet. This was a mess.

(3.5⭐️) The level of toxicity in this book was insane lol. When it started off I thought Breonna was going to be a nice sweet daycare teacher. Nope she was just as touched in the head as Jaseon! This book was full of drama, mess, twists and turns. There was so much happening all the time lol. But it was a nice ride with some laugh out loud moments.

Well let me just say Jay definitely does not play at ALL with anybody. This book had a lot of action happening and I was totally invested. FYI the title is very fitting because Jay that ninja is certified crazy for real lol. I would definitely read more work by this author.

Really enjoyed this standalone. I stumbled upon this author in a group and so glad I did. It had my attention from the beginning. The characters will have you laughing and crying at the same time.
