The Mark and Judy Summers love story has an almost fairy tale flavor to it, complete with romance and tragedy. However, their story is not a fairy tale, and the incredible “baptism of suffering” was very real. What was public knowledge was enough to stagger those who loved this family, but only God knows the full behind-the-scenes truth. The pressure of it all even caused Mark's health to falter until one day, as he led others in worship, he leapt and walked into healing at the hands of God. Members of the Summers/Fleming family stood solid in their faith in God as their beloved Judy's health declined due to medically incurable illness. In the end she was aglow with a joy that gave those around her a glimpse of heaven, and she left Mark with a story to tell of eternal love. He wasn't quite finished when he joined his beloved in heaven, but the two of them left a legacy—children who would finish the story for them. --Gloria Williams
