We finally have Declan and Kendall's book!! I highly recommend reading the first two books in the series (Controlled Chaos, Silent Chaos) since there are events that happened in those books related to members of the band that won't make sense if you start with Total Chaos.
Declan has been in love with his best friend's older sister, Kendall, since he met her when he was in high school and she was already touring as a pop singer. Of course, Kendall has no clue about Declan's feelings for her. Fast forward several years and Declan and Kendall are best friends. Declan's band is currently on hiatus and Kendall is engaged to some douchebag, much to Declan's dismay. These two go out for drinks to drown their sorrows after something traumatic happens to one of their band mates. One thing leads to another and Declan finally tells (and shows) Kendall how he really feels about her.
But what happens the next morning and weeks after that is a surprising twist I didn't see coming.
I can't say more without spoiling but this was definitely a case of a pining hero trying to show the heroine why she fell in love with him. Much needed time alone on a road trip together will bring out some feelings that have been lying beneath the surface for too long. It's not a secret that the heroine leaves her douchebag fiancé at the altar (that's in the blurb), but it's Declan and Kendall's journey to happiness with each other that was so fun to read.
This was definitely worth the wait! I cannot WAIT for Gage's book!!!!!!

I didn't enjoy this as much as the two previous books. Decided to read it now since the last book has been released and it's the one, I have been waiting for the most.
We get Declan and Kendall's book and their story, we find out that Declan has been in love with Kendall for almost a decade, but she only sees him as her brother’s best friend, bandmate. They do have a 7-year age difference between the two so back when Declan started developing feelings for her, it would have never happened since she was much older, and it would have been illegal.
Kendall from what we find out in the previous books is someone who has been in a lot of relationships but never has been in love with anyone. She blames it all on her genetics that is her father, and if you know her parents’ story then you know her biological father was an evil asshole. Though it is obvious she is nothing like him, she still believes she is broken because of his DNA.
Kendall is engaged to Kyle, but we find out that she wants to end their engagement, but we never find out WHY, well to me it was obvious that he cheated, and she wanted to end it. Sadly, she never got to do that before she was in her accident and lost 6 weeks’ worth of memory. One memory above all else she forgot. The time spent with Declan the night before her incident.
She runs away on her wedding day with Declan (as friends) and go on a road trip together to get away from the fiasco she created. They get together but she just wants fun as she is afraid to mess things up and doesn't remember their night together.
She finds out she is pregnant but also finds out that the conception date is prior to her accident which means in her mind Declan isn't the father but her ex-Kyle. When she sees Kyle fucking a coworker on his desk, she gets her memories back and leaves.
She pushed Declan away after she found out she was pregnant (he was ready to propose the night she ended it). She never told him why and he goes into a depressive state.
Eventually they get back together and find out the twins (yes twins) are Declan’s, and they get married.
This one was just a simple story and there wasn't much of a dramatic effect to it than the previous books or what we know will be Gage's book. I liked it enough and read it fast, but I didn't love it.
I was not able to connect to Kendall at all and while I liked Declan, he wasn't my favorite MMC.

I was so super excited when I found out Kendall was going to get her happy ending - especially with Declan and Nikki Ash did not disappoint! We first met Kendall when she was 5 in A Chance Encounter and I love that she gets her own story. Kendall and Declan- at long last all the pining and longing we’ve seen bubbling up in the other books comes to fruition and we get their heartfelt love story. The Love and Lyrics series has been such a surprise- angstier, delving into darker toppings, and love that is anything but easy. Kendall and Declan have quite an emotional journey- jumping through hurdles real and perceived to find their way to each other. As always, Nikki gives us ample swoon, and like the rest of this series, falling is easy, it’s figuring out what to do that’s hard. But yet another beautiful HEA for these amazing characters in this rockstar world.
We have so many interesting tropes here- brother’s best friend, older woman, pining/unrequited love (from the hero!), road trip/forced proximity, and of course the rockstar world. Kendall has intrigued me from the beginning, and I’m so happy we got to delve into her mind. Like our other couples, their story spans ages and time, only these two never really had a romantic past, because Kendall didn’t know just the depth of Declans affection for her. So a meaningful friendship developed over time, Declan being Kendall’s safe place as she constantly is escaping relationships. Only now she’s engaged- a sign of permanence that doesn’t bode well for Declan. But a moment of connection born out of a heartbreaking situation allows feelings to finally emerge.
Only Nikki throws some twists and turns that make this friends to lovers romance unexpected in many ways. A surprising twist makes their path challenging. And oh the angst and heartache. THE LONGING! THE DEVOTION! A surprising road trip becomes the perfect way to work through some things, and I love watching these two fall. And oh how I loved Nikki made music/song part of their story too.

declan’s dreams come true when his best friend’s older sister and the girl he’s had a crush on forever shows up to tell him her engagement is off and she wants him to make her feel something for the night. except those dreams come crashing down the next morning and it’ll take a lot for declan to get them back.
i’ve never read a brother’s best friend book where the sister is older and it’s the mmc pining forever and i loved that twist on the trope. declan was perfect from start to finish. he pined over kendall forever and just wanted her to be happy no matter what. kendall annoyed me towards the end because it kills me when the mmc is so reassuring and it takes a while for the fmc to come around but she has her reasons.
this is a good series if you like rockstar romance. it’s darker, angsty, and each book is quick and interesting.

To Road Trips and Freedom... and Memories
Declan Pierce has been friend zoned by Kendall Naomi Blackwood for years. Just when I think we've jumped the shark, chaos ensues. What comes next is sweet, naughty, and just fantastic!
There are ups and downs, but no matter what is going on, I can't help but cheer for these two. They're playful, loving, and a joy to get to know, even when they're misguided.
I absolutely LOVE Easton Blackwood and his relationship with Kendall, his stepdaughter. It's special and just wonderful. Don't get me wrong, her relationship with her mom is also amazing, but I have a soft spot for men who treat their stepchildren with an equal amount love and consideration as those they've fathered.
I'm not sure how I feel about this being Kendall and Declan's story after the cliffhanger in the last book, but I can't deny that I really like this book. That said, the minor cliffhanger in here isn't quite as dramatic as the book 2, but it's still a compelling one.
I listened to this as part of the Love & Lyrics audio boxset. The narrators are Sarah Puckett and Teddy Hamilton, both of whom I've enjoyed listening to on many occasions. ♥️ 🎧

This story hit it out of the park with rockstar goodness.
Delcan has been in love with Kendall for so many years and everybody knows it but her. He’s watched her break up every relationship she’s ever had.

Kendall doesn’t feel like she’s good enough to be loved because of her dushbag biological parent. Delcan is her friend and she doesn’t want to ruin his relationship with the rest of her family.
“I’ll always be there.” I cup the sides of his face and look up into his blue eyes filled with love and awe. “Always.”
This whole series to date has been one emotional roller coaster after another. Tears of joy and sorrow that will bring you to your knees.
Delcan is the ultimate swoon worthy hero. This series just keeps getting better with every new book and now we have one more to go and this one is gonna be epic.

Oh my, I absolutely love the Love & Lyrics series. These stories are so emotional, heart breaking, and always a few curve balls you don’t see coming, but have you hooked from the start! Kendall has always had a certain perception about herself and as things start to crumble in her life, she needs an escape and that is all Declan. Declan is Kendall’s brother’s best friend and band mate, and that hasn’t stopped in from being in love with Kendall since he met her. When she needs an out he’s there for her, but as these two spend time together, lines blur and so many moments of more could happen or will they, you’ll be left on your hanging on to your seat devouring this book to see what happens. All the drama, twist and turns, then add the heartbreaking moments will have you addicted to these characters and swooning for Declan. If you don’t fall for Declan, you need to restart your heart because he is your new book boyfriend! I love these characters and journeys they take that lead them to a moment when their paths can change and all they need to do is give in, the heartbreaking journeys aww worth the emotional rollercoaster!

Eccomi oggi con la recensione del libro CAOS TOTALE della serie LOVE & LYRICS #4 di Nikki Ash. Storia bellissima, scritta bene e scorrevole! Questa volta si parlerà di Kendall e Declan. Declan dolce disponibile sempre con tutti ma innamorato follemente della sorella del suo migliore amico, Kendall un po’ insicura, fragile infatti appena ha una relazione inizia ad entrare in crisi e fugge, come del resto ha fatto per il suo matrimonio, con l’aiuto del suo amico Declan . Una fuga due cuori che battono e cosa riserverà loro. L’amore riuscirà ad aprire loro gli occhi e la musica farà da sottofondo. 5⭐️
Amo sempre più le storie di Nikki ciò che fa provare e soprattutto come modella i suoi personaggi. Le sue sono letture sicure e mai noiose, in poche parole una certezza.

Eccomi oggi con la recensione del libro CAOS TOTALE della serie LOVE & LYRICS #4 di Nikki Ash. Storia bellissima, scritta bene e scorrevole! Questa volta si parlerà di Kendall e Declan. Declan dolce disponibile sempre con tutti ma innamorato follemente della sorella del suo migliore amico, Kendall un po’ insicura, fragile infatti appena ha una relazione inizia ad entrare in crisi e fugge, come del resto ha fatto per il suo matrimonio, con l’aiuto del suo amico Declan . Una fuga due cuori che battono e cosa riserverà loro. L’amore riuscirà ad aprire loro gli occhi e la musica farà da sottofondo. 5⭐️
Amo sempre più le storie di Nikki ciò che fa provare e soprattutto come modella i suoi personaggi. Le sue sono letture sicure e mai noiose, in poche parole una certezza.

Declan is in a band with Kendall’s brother and one of his best friends. He’s been in love with her since he was a teen. He’s watched her through the years knowing that a relationship would not happen. Kendall doesn’t know about Declan’s feelings. She is a pop star whose life appears easy on the outside but inside she is harboring insecurities. On the day of her wedding, she escapes out of the window as Declan is sitting in the car preparing himself to go into the venue. He’s there to rescue her and help her escape.
Together on a road trip with no clear destination a deep friendship develops and even deeper feelings, insecurities, and troubles are revealed. It’s emotional and heartbreaking with things I never expected. Declan is swoon-worthy, loyal, and steadfast when he decides to show Kendall how much she deserved to be loved. I loved seeing Kendall’s journey to find the love that she deserves.
Watching Declan love Kendall in the two previous books had me anxious to get my hands on this one. It did not disappoint. I could not put it down. This can be read as a standalone but in my opinion, it’s best to read the two previous books first. I also recommend reading the standalone A Chance Encounter where you meet Kendall at 5 years old. OMG, I can not wait for Gage’s story.

Wow! This book was so much more than what I was expecting. I am loving the Love & Lyrics series, and was happy to hear that Kendall was getting her story. Declan is sweet, romantic, loyal and loving, and has been in love with Kendall - (his best friend's older sister) - for years, but having never acted on it, he became her best friend. Kendall is the fun loving, sweet pop star, who appears to be happy with her life, but on the inside she is hiding her insecurities about never being enough for someone to love her. Watching Declan & Kendall's relationship grow made this book un-putdownable! Though this can be read as a standalone it is best enjoyed after reading the previous two books in this amazing series. An absolute must read! I cannot wait for Gage's story.

I don't even know where to begin. This story was not what I was expecting at all. I thought it was going to be some fun feel good run away bride road trip finally realizing what was right in front of your face book. Okay, maybe we did get all of that, but it ended up being so much more also. I cried three times in the first 37% of this book. Kendall got me all up in my feels and I was not prepared for that at all. Declan and Kendall were so freaking good. The wooing continued with Total Chaos and it was top notch. I believe this is one of Nikki's best books - definitely at the top of my list of her books. I think you need to read the first two in this series to get the full effect but they are all well worth the read.

Kendall and Declan had an all consuming read for me packed with all the feels. They start off as brother's best friend but due to life start to grow close as friends. Declan was an easy character to love as he was not overly alpha but the good guy and always so thoughtful. Kendall is always running and has her commitment issues. Their story has some twists and turns and I loved the unexpected path their story went down. Nikki provided me all the feels and all the steam while reading this perfect escape.

Total Chaos by Nikki Ash is a friends to lovers rockstar romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett and Teddy Hamilton. This is the third book in the Love and Lyrics series.
I absolutely love Nikki's books! I can't help but binge them in one sitting. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Kendall and Declan. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I can't wait for the next book in the series Bleeding Chaos to be released on March 23, 2023, so I can get Gage and Sadie's story.
Sarah and Teddy did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like friends to lovers romances, rockstar romances, runaway brides, or contemporary romances.

I probably say this every time with each book in this series, but man, I think Declan has been my favorite of the band. He’s sexy, kind, the bassist of Raging Chaos. Seriously, what more could a girl want? But this story goes beyond all that. And just when Kendall is finally realizing what she has in front of her, it all gets erased in a blink of an eye.
I loved every bit of how this story played out from a runaway bride, to an epic road trip, all while falling hard and fast in love. My heart didn’t stand a chance the second I opened this book. Ash is a brilliant author that no matter the story, I am loving it and happily and stupidly immersed in it. Completely drunk of the words.
All in all, this amazing read has been my favorite so far. Can Gage win my heart over in the next one? Magic 8 Ball says “chances look good”. Well, I didn’t really shake a Magic 8 Ball but with how I love each book more than the last, chances ARE good. 5 Stars.

Declan is best friends with Kendall's brother. He's always had feelings for Kendall but watched her go from guy to guy looking for love. He didn't expect Kendall to get engaged and was devasted that he lost his chance to be with the woman he wanted to be his. Kendall fears she will never find love and accepts a proposal but at the wedding she runs out and into Declan's car. The two end up on a road trip getting to know each other. A lovely read with a great ending.

I love Declan & Kendall's story. You know of the crush from the other books but when you get the full story it’s all so good.
Declan has always had a crush on his best friend's older sister but he knew it will never happen and she never saw him that way. He was strictly friend material.
Kendall is just at a loss with relationships. She feels broken but is engaged to be married. The question is? Is he the one? Or is it convenient?
This story kept me engaged from the first page. So many incredible moments with the building of their friendship and relationship. Absolutely loved it!

Oh em gee! This series keeps getting better! Nikki Ash never fails to make us fall in love with her stories and characters, especially all the devoted and loving heroes. I laughed, shed a few tears, and swooned over Declan and Kendall. Gah, don't get me started on Declan. He is definitely one of my favorite heroes ever! I loved every single thing about Total Chaos and after that ending, I can't wait for Gage’s book to come out! If you haven't read this series you are seriously missing out!

Book 3 in the Raging Chaos series and definitely my favourite so far. I just could not put Declan and Kendall's story down and read in one sitting.
Declan has had feelings for his best friends older sister for years but she only sees him as a friend. When Kendall calls things off with her fiancé it's Declan she turns to and just when he thinks he could finally be in with a chance to win her heart everything changes.
Nikki Ash has once again given us a fantastic story. I love this series and cannot wait for Gage's story next.

I have been waiting for this book and now that I finally got to read it, I was hooked. Declan and Kendall are everything. Their chemistry is off the charts. Declan is soo swoon worthy. I swear this series gets better with each book. Definitely can’t wait for Gage’s book!

She decides to run which leads her to crashing Declan’s road trip.
I have loved Kendall as a character since A Chance Encounter as have been so excited for her book. Since Kendall found out about her biological father she feel as if she doesn’t fit and is unloveable. It was heartbreaking to read about how broken she thinks she is. It was especially impactful having reading A Chance Encounter and the other books in the series because you know how loved she is. This allowed you to really understand her struggle with self image. Declan is the perfect man to show Kendall how lovable she truly is. He is the sweetest and so understanding.
I have been waiting for Declan and Kendall’s book since I read Controlled Chaos. I really love how Nikki Ash put together their story and Kendall’s HEA. Some parts where a bit predictable but that’s probably because I have read a lot of Nikki Ash books.
