Born and raised in northern Utah, Michael Oborn completed a two year mission for the Mormon Church, graduated with a degree in microbiology and theater from Weber University. Attached to the Entertainment Section of the U. S. Army, he directed live theater and managed entertainment shows for the troops in the orient. He is a Chemical Dependency Professional who, before retirement, worked with addicts and their families, and continues affiliation with, SAFE CALL NOW, a nonprofit organization that works with police and fire fighters suffering the disease of addiction. He is a member of the Willamette Writers Association, Portland, Oregon and the Pacific Northwest Writers Association, Issaquah, Washington.
