A simple mistake, a surprising proposal, and her sensible life spirals out of control.
It’s Allie’s fourth wedding this summer, while her own life is stuck in a holding pattern. Distracted, she walks into the wrong room—yeah, that room—and makes eye contact with a good-looking, if startled, man.
After her hasty retreat, she spies a high-backed chair by the fireplace, perfect for hiding while she regains her composure. As she sinks down with a sigh, the matching chair beside hers swivels around to reveal Bathroom Door Guy.
Theo gave up dreams of college to take over the guardianship of his ten-year-old brother. With his brother now grown, Theo takes stock of his life. Something’s missing. Then Allie walks into his life. After the initial moment of shock, something unexpected happens—they talk easily. That’s how Allie’s boyfriend, Justin, finds her—laughing and drinking champagne.
After a quick introduction, Justin leads her back to the reception, where he drops to one knee and proposes. Time stops. Justin waits for an answer, but Allie can’t breathe. Someone whips out a phone and records it. Her answer goes viral.
In the small coastal town of Pine Harbor, Allison’s life has just turned upside down.

They met at a wedding, in the men’s restroom. Oops, that was supposed to be not written. But the story is so funny and here I am with a broken rib laughing and hurting. Kind of how things went in this story. You will just have to read it for yourself and know I loved it
Thank goodness for friends and unexpected encounters. Allison didn't know the last wedding she attended would throw her world out of sync. First she has a proposal in front of everyone that she did not expect and when she refused, the refusal went viral. Also at this wedding she has an embarrassing encounter with a handsome man. Will her world ever get back on track? Great read
We meet the heroine on perhaps one of the most embarrassing days of her life, and we see it roll out in real time. Not only does she accidentally walk into the men's room and make eye contact with a guy at a urinal at a wedding reception, but her sort-of boyfriend proposes publicly soon afterward. She'd always considered them to be more like friends who did things together. As this is the modern age, this proposal is filmed by wedding guests, uploaded online, and goes viral. Her refusal then causes some issues with her business. While there is certainly a romantic element to this story, to me, it mostly read more like chick lit than anything else as it seemed to be more about the heroine herself than the couple. That first scene at the wedding was very witty at times, especially when we got a glimpse inside of the heroine's head. After the whole wedding debacle, it didn't feel quite as humorous. I'm probably saying that it feels more like chick lit because of the book’s focus (mentioned above) and the ending. There's no real conclusion, which often happens in chick lit, as we usually see in contemporary romance. I'll admit that the ending left me feeling dissatisfied. I know the next planned book focuses on another couple, but I hope we'll at least see some of how their relationship progresses in the other books.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
Sometimes small towns have long memories for unfortunate things, like an awful haircut ir nickname.
Sometimes small towns work together to support what the think is for the good of the community - and power mongers work the system as they always have - and not always fir the good of the greater whole
Allison has an unfortunate moment made public by a soon to be ex beau - and folks boycott her small business in alleged support. But he claims chagrin for not keeping things private- and is his character as sterling as some pretend?
Something is fishy in this small seaside town, as small businesses evidence unusual troubles
Friends might make an effort to save their businesses and their homes, but will it be enough?
Romance sweet and not so sweet

This was a sweet fun read that I highly recommend. Allison is at a wedding reception when she goes into the wrong restroom with someone already inside and she realizes she in the wrong one. Making eye contact with the good looking man at the urinal is bad enough but when she finds the perfect chair to hide in the chair next to her swivels and it's urinal guy. They hit it off with a great chemistry and that's where her boyfriend finds her and everything gets even crazier from there. I really enjoyed this book the characters had a great chemistry and the book had me laughing out loud at times with a wonderful plot.

This was such an awesome book. It was humorous and I really enjoyed reading it. When it comes to social media, it can either make you or break you and that was the problem that Allison was experiencing. There happened to be another person on the island that wanted to get rid of her and her friends businesses. This guy was as mean as they come, however the residents on the island came together to put this man in his place. Instead of giving up and leaving their business, Allison and her friends stayed to fight for what was theirs. I can not wait to read the next installment to this series.

3.5 stars The meet-cute between Allison and Theo at the men's bathroom was rom-com worthy. The problem is that somehow she ends up in a marriage proposal with her sort-of boyfriend that becomes viral and the townsfolk ate boycotting her business now. It has a HFN ending so maybe that's the reason for my rating.

Allison after an unfortunate moment made public by a nasty ex has her company boycotted after the incident. The characters are well developed and engaging and the storyline flows smoothly from beginning to the end.
