An OK book for intro to several historical events both modern and older ones. Some i think weren't important one sand could have been replaced by better choices. Quick and easy read. Recommended
An interesting collection of historical secrets and conspiracies covering the areas of Political Corruption, Lies and Murder; War and Spies; Secret Organisations and Sporting Secrets. My favourite chapters were What Really Happened with Edward Kennedy at Chappaquiddick? How Close to the Nazis was the Duke of Windsor? What Really Happened at Bletchley Park? What Don’t We Know About Coca-Cola? and Did Qatar Bribe FIFA to Host the 2022 World Cup? If you like historical stories open to debate with at times, questions left unanswered, you will enjoy this book. It is nicely laid out, with plenty of photographs to add to the stories. Some chapters were more of interest to me than others, but overall, I enjoyed this book.
This book was a very spontaneous read from my side - saw it, and immediately was interested. I love knowing about the secrets of the world, so this was a no brainer for me.
This book covered such a wide range of topics and secrets, all told with just enough detail to get a good understanding of what actually happened. If you are interested in some of the biggest scandals of the world I would highly recommend having a read of this.
I would’ve loved if more scandals were covered - especially much more recent ones, but the book was still a great read for its price!
Good book and an easy read. I like how it was split into sections and colourful. Lots of images and context. I think the small chapter for each one worked well. There were some that were a bit of a stretch though because they were so old that none of the readers would know much about them before reading it so it lost my interest a bit there.
Overall, I found this book interesting and a good entry point for someone interested in some of these stories. I’m actually a little surprised at how readable it was. I did however notice several glaring typos which causes me to wonder how well it was edited.
