The Abel's are falling like dominoes!
Jace more than has his hands full with Bronte, between the flip, flap and click, click, click of her shoes, to her sass, her denials she is in danger and her mile wide independent streak. He has more than met his match but she is exactly what he needs and seeing him fighting his feelings for his ward will make you chuckle.

This is yet another book where my favorite character was the cat! Having said that, as always in an Em Petrova book, the humans are gripping and you won’t want to put this down. Jace and his brothers work for West Protection since they lost their company – in a case related to “The Broker.” Red flags go up all over when Jace’s new protection detail, Bronte, starts getting demands from the Broker. This is a fake engagement, lots of twists and turns story, with some pop-ins from other West agents. It’s a good read that leaves you wishing for more.

Bronte Burns is a San Francisco millennial techy who owns the trending new company, Artemis Tech. She and her partner Angelica have created awesome new software that should bring them much acclaim and dollars. Everything is going great until her friend and partner Angelica downloads encrypted files, stealing them, and then disappears. Bronte brings in West Protection to find out what files were stolen. New hire Jace Able is assigned to this job but finds the evidence has been wiped. As Jace is leaving he asks Bronte to share a quick dinner. This is a comical scene ending with Jace proclaiming Bronte as his fiancé. What just happened? But it ends up benefiting his cover when the job takes on a whole new life as they have been kidnapped… by her substitute driver. Jace saves the day! All becomes clear when “The Broker” calls Bronte for a meeting. The Broker wants to “acquire” the new software that Bronte and Angelica just put together. Jace and his brothers lost everything because of “The Broker” so Jace knows how severe and deadly this threat is to Bronte.
I enjoyed this exciting suspenseful mystery and loved Jace, Bronte, and her cat Hemingway. This is an "opposites attract" love story. I received a free advanced copy from Booksprout and this is my opinion. Linda

West Protection takes on another what they believe to be a breech of Artemis High Tech in San Fransisco, CEO and owner Bronte Burns has hired them to find out what her ex-partner stole from the company, Bronte is very nervous that she had copied software, files and critical information from/for a very large project they had been working on, which could put her companies success over the top. So Jace Abel packs extremely lightly, he has no doubt he will figure this out in a flash and be on the next flight out back to Montana that very night. During his visit Bronte becomes a target. He has no choice, he stays, spur of the moment he introduces himself as her fiancé but, now Bronte has become his “ward”, he is her bodyguard and he will do anything to keep her safe. As time goes by threats keep happening and it's a race to find out who is targeting her. They find an old enemy that the Abel brothers have had experience with before has resurfaced. Top Secret Cowboy will keep you on your toes from front to back, its full of laugh out loud banter, off the cuff knowledge spewing, a feisty cat that just about steals the show! Another Abel brother gets bite by the love bug in another fantastic addition to Petrova’s amazing WEST Protection series. I loved how Jace and Bronte were drawn to each other and how their passions and interests complemented the other’s. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the explosive chemistry between Petrova’s characters, as well as the detailed and steamy scenes she describes between them. I can’t wait to read more about the Abel brothers!

WEST Protection gets a case in San Francisco, when Bronte Gray, CEO of Artemis calls them to investigate how much her partner stole of a computer program. Jace Abel being their computer expert was sent planning to spend less than a day. Things soon turned more complicated as she was giving him a ride to the airport. Except, on the way to the airport, Bronte noticed, they were not going the right way, the driver was not her normal driver. Jace tried to get him to pull over, but they ended by hitting the back of a delivery truck, and the driver died. Jace and Bronte held up at her condo much to her dismay as she refused to believe there was any threat to her. Her assistant showed up the next morning at the condo, because she could not get ahold of Bronte mentioning she had an email from the "Broker" wanting to make an early deal on a program. Jace was shocked, because he thought, they had handled the "Broker". The action continues for WEST Protection Agency will they be able to keep Bronte safe as Jace falls more in love with her everyday. Romantic suspense with great mystery, intrigue and lots of action. Highly recommend!.

This is the 12th book in the West Protection series featuring the steamy fast-paced action-packed bodyguard fake relationship opposites attract romance of Jace and Bronte. West Protection is hired by Bronte who owns Artemis Tech and created software that is supposed to be revolutionary but her friend /partner Angelica downloaded and stole encrypted files. West sends their new hire Jace to see what was stolen what he sees is that the evidence has been wiped. Jace asks Bronte out to eat when he's ready to leave and he proclaims that Bronte is his fiance. On their way to dinner Jace and Bronte are kidnapped by the driver so they must believe the cover story that Jace is her fiance not her bodyguard even though he does save them from the driver. Everything changes when "The Broker" gets in touch with Bronte to set up a meeting now Jace knows that they have the same enemy. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this steamy fast-paced action-packed bodyguard fake relationship opposites attract romance to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

Jace and Bronte
This was another quick read with a lot of steam to add to this series. It had a little enemies to lovers banter with some insta love and bodyguard romance and a smooth talking southern boy. I love this series for the quick escape each book provides!
Jace Abel is embracing his new role in life as a member of the WEST Protection team and as a cowboy. The Georgia boy has all but traded in his motorcycle for a horse and he never expected his latest job to give him the love of his life. He swore he would never get involved with a ward, but Bronte broke every rule in his rule book.
Jace went to San Francisco thinking he’d suss out what had been hacked and be back in Montana the same day, but the job changes when he realizes Bronte’s life is in trouble. He steps in as her fake fiancé and bodyguard when a threat he thought was gone resurfaces and the stakes for him are higher than ever.
This was a fun adventure through San Francisco and Napa with two main characters who are more than their exteriors let on. Bronte and Jace turn out to be the perfect pair in every way.

Jace never dreamed when he met the woman, he wanted to spend the rest of his life with his past would come storming pack like a tidal wave. As Jace tries to keep the past from repeating itself, Bronte must dig deep to believe everything isn’t as it seems. They are captivating characters with a sassy relationship and who wouldn’t want a Hemingway in their lives.

A great book to make this series go forward. It has a mixture of drama, suspense, and romance all woven together. Jace Abel has been sent by his company to try to save Bronte Burns company from a breach of security that started with Brontes partner (who stole valuable information from the company). Jace is sent to try to find the breach and to save Bronte and her company. Enter The Broker who threatens Bronte and he also wants the computer programs that will help the medical world - but he does not want it for the good. Jace soon finds himself falling in love with Bronte and knows that that is against Company policy. There is raw need between these two and how they interact ... will they part ways at the end of the mission? Will Bonte find out there is more to life than work? A story with a surprise ending. Great read and cannot wait for the next in the series. Loved it from cover to cover. This is a highly emotional yet satisfying series that also is so sexy between two people. Great! I really enjoyed reading Top Secret Cowboy . This book is well written and the characters are fantastic and interesting . Jace Abel works for West Protection Team after he and his brothers lost their security company . Jake is assigned to fix a security leak at Artemis in San Francisco . Bronte Burns owns the Tech company Artemis she needs West Security to find out what assets and information her former partner stole . She's definitely shocked to find Jace saving her from an induction and
West stepping up to keep her safe as danger from the Broker increases . As Jace and Bronte share close quarters together their chemistry ignites and feelings grow maybe if they can stop the broker they can have a life together . I highly recommend taking the time to read . This story is full of suspense and action packed .

More WEST Protection Hotness
I adore Em Petrova’s WEST Protection series, so I was really looking forward to Book 12, “Top Secret Cowboy.” This was especially true when I found how much I seem to love the Abel brothers, who entered the series a couple of books back. Jace is a computer nerd and a budding cowboy after moving to Montana from his life-long home of Georgia. Sent to San Francisco on a job that ends up being way more complicated than it was supposed to be, Jace comes face-to-face with tech entrepreneur Bronte. While she’s sweet and beautiful, I had a bit of a hard time with her snobbish attitude (assumptions made about Jace as a small-town boy) that came through several times throughout the story, and it made me not like her as much as I think I would have otherwise. However, the suspense and general plot of the story sucked me in, and the steamy bits were off-the-charts. So looking forward to the next book in this series!

Jace Abel went to work for WEST Protection in Montana after his brothers and he closed their security company in Georgia. He is a technological guru and can find most anything on a computer...but when Bronte calls for help because her former partner took valuable new software from Artemis Tech, he thinks open and shut case and will be back in Montana that evening...but shot fired that she believes was backfire from vehicle, not Bronte's regular car service driver but another who's not taking them where directed, resulting in shooting and police, added to The Broker being involved, all spell he's going to be there for a while longer, so staying with Bronte as her fiancé best...but will a fake relationship turn into something more??? I loved Top Secret Cowboy Book 12 of WEST Protection and I love this series. Jace has been tasked with checking Bronte’s system for what was stolen. He’s going to be in and out, he didn’t even bring a suitcase. Bronte is only worried about what her ex-partner stole from her company. Jade is bossy and driving her crazy especially when he tells someone she is his fiancé. Suddenly her breached computer system isn’t the problem and now there is a real threat on her life. So Jace isn’t going anywhere but now he has to keep from falling for his ward and Bronte has to keep from falling from her bodyguard. I think we know how this is going to go. Another great story for WEST Protection. I would definitely recommend this book and the whole series.

I do love the West Protection team. This is Jace Abel and his ward, Bronte’s harrowing and suspenseful story. Brontë and her business partner, Angelica, started Artemis software company together, but then Angelica had stolen files of their latest project that could change the healthcare of many. Brontë hired WEST Protection to help find the security leak. Only things don’t go as Jace planned. Flying out to San Francisco wasn’t on his favorite thing to do. He planned to be in and out the same day. When threats came from the Broker, Jace knew he couldn’t leave her unprotected. They needed to bring this guy down. A very good storyline and awesome characters. I love this series and never miss any of Em Petrova’s new stories. Keep ‘em coming!.

Although fast-paced and somewhat steamy, a lovely romance is woven into this novel. Sent on assignment to investigate the secrets stolen from Bronte's company, nerdy Jace Abel thinks it will be a quick in-and-out exercise. Things do not go as planned, especially when Jace realizes that Bronte's enemy is his enemy as well. The novel escalates as tension mounts towards the closing pages, and it takes the combined efforts of WEST Protection to save the day. The novel is well-written and held my attention. Ultimately it comes to a good conclusion, making Bronte see that there is more than one solution to a problem. I enjoyed the wit and attraction between the main characters and was glad that they both received what they needed. I received a copy of this novel as a gift through BookSprout and this is my honest and voluntary review.

This is the twelfth book in the WEST Protection Series. You can definitely read it as a standalone but it does connect to the other books in the series. Jace is finally getting his life back on solid ground after the security company he owned with his brothers was forced to close its doors. He's even found a horse he wants to buy. He's sent to San Francisco to find the security leak in Bronte's company but they get more than they bargained for. I loved Jace and Bronte together. They hot together Jace is a tough growly protector and Bronte is independent, smart, and kind. Always look forward to books in this series, there's something great about a tough protective cowboy.

Jace and Bronte
I loved this one. Jace Able is tasked to find what information a previous partner stole from a tech business. Bronte, without the snake eyes over the E, bought up enough shares in her business so she could fire her thieving partner. Jace was unable to find the information but goes straight into protection mode when Bronte receives a death threat. He ends up her fake fiancé and the two drive each other crazy as he tries to protect her. Oh, and did I mention The Broker is involved? That name puts fear into all the Ables and WEST Protection. Hemingway the smushed cat is hilarious and keeps Jace on him toes. Loved the Ables are adapting to Wyoming, their white stetons and finding their soulmate.

This is Jace Able's story and while he and his brothers are still reeling from the loss of their own business, he begins to see himself "fitting in" with the cowboys in the West Protection Agency. While he is assigned to a job in San Franscisco, he meets his Ward, Bronte (without the dots over the "e") and her adorable cat Hemmingway. Surprisingly, he seems to get along better with her cat than with Bronte but as you know, sometimes a hate/dislike feeling most often turns into a slowly building love relationship, well if they can stay alive to feel it. I love the West Protection Series and hope that it continues on forever!.

He thinks it’s going to be an in and out job and he’ll be home that night. What he realizes in the short time there is someone wants to harm Brontë for her company secrets. This changes their dynamic. Jace works for the WEST protection agency and he’s now her bodyguard. They also realize whoever is after Brontë, Jaces company with his brothers have dealt with before. Through the days he’s her fierce protector. At night they are lovers while realizing their hearts are getting tangled up as well. Great story. Good plot. Loved the characters and their HEA. Looking forward to the next story.

Top Secret Cowboy is another winner in the WEST Protection series. The stories about the Abel brothers are like a sub-series, with an underlying plot connection them. Jace Abel is the 2nd brother to meet his match in Bronte, a wonderfully quirky, warm-hearted and smart woman. There's not just great chemistry, but great understanding from the first moment they meet. With the addition of a hilariously cute cat, betrayal, death threats and a new spin on the Abel brothers' past, you've got a fantastic, fast-paced and highly entertaining romantic suspense.

I've really enjoyed this series, but I must say I'm loving the addition of Abel brothers. While it is to be expected that there will be action and danger in this story, I loved the addition of Jace's humor and Bronte's *gasp* horror at the things coming out of Jace's mouth. It makes me chuckle even as I'm writing this. Of course, what Jace expected to be a simple fly into San Francisco, complete his mission, and go back to Montana all in the same day goes awry when there is an attempt on Bronte's life.
So many things to love about this story - great family connections, danger, humor, lots of action, quirky animal, sizzling hot chemistry between Jace and Bronte, and HEA.

Picking up the pieces after her partner stole digital files from their company, Bronte hires West Protection to find out exactly what was taken. When Jace is given the assignment in San Francisco, it seems like a straightforward task that can be completed the same day he soon finds out that isn't the case. I love the Abel brothers and Jace is a sweet, sexy cowboy that will melt your heart. Exciting and funny, his reaction to Bronte's shoes is hilarious. I love all the spicy and sweet bits, but my favorite part was when Jace is trying to get Bronte out of the convention and she had to pee.

Good grief this book had some serious laugh out loud moments! I loved every sexy and suspenseful twist and turn in this book. Once again author Em Petrova created some complex, quirky, yet loveable characters-- one of my favorites in this book being Hemingway the cat. :)
If you want a solid, suspenseful tale with mountains of scorching chemistry and a good laugh, this book is well worth spending your hard earned money on. I think that to date, Jace Abel and Bronte Burns are my favorite couple in the WEST Protection series. Love, love, love them!

for When Jace goes to investigate Bronte's partner for stealing the latest software from the company they started together it is clear that he needs to protect Brontë and be on the lookout for The Broker who has caused trouble for the West Team in the past. The more time Jace and Bronte spend together the more they can not keep their hands off each other. As danger closes in it will take more than Jace to protect the woman he loves. Loved this dangerous suspenseful book which is also loaded with steamy hot romance.
