The fearless and famous Dory McLee, and her friend Evan Henson, are back and facing yet another daunting challenge in the New Mexico Territory.
This time it involves a caravan freight wagon company, J.C. Holdings Co. The business founder, Jed Coburn, has been murdered by a disgruntled former worker named Flint Mattox. And now Jed’s daughter, Ruth, wants to find Mattox and bring him to justice. Evan is out to help the Coburn family after they previously saved the life of his brother Baxter.
Once again, it will take bravery and quick thinking for Dory and Evan to capture the thoroughly evil Mattox. Come ride along and experience first-hand what caravan freight wagons experienced as they helped to settle a frontier and supplied tens of thousands of people in the west.
Another classic western with respectful romance and women as strong frontier folk from author William Black.
Each book in the Post-Civil War Western Justice series is a standalone story that can be read out of order.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge about the supply caravans. No book has ever caused me to realize how vital they were. I love how you give a synopsis of people's future. I also appreciate how you made sure good triumphs over bad. Well done.
Didn't like this road trip novel about freighters across Texas. Oxen were used to pull the big heavy wagons but the author referred to them as steers. Of course they were steers mostly, too, but they we're called oxen and are bred for being in harness.
I got this e-book from amazon with kindle unlimited
A excellent western story of Dory, Evan, Ruby, and others. Bad men trying to take things that don't belong to them and killing people along the way. Dory and Evan came to help Ruth find the man who killed her father.
A never ending romp in the "Wild" west continues. Dory and Ethan continue their run through the dangerous territory of outlaws, indians, and greed. Enjoy this latest installment.
I enjoyed the entire 17 book series. But, after reading the first few, you already knew how they would end. Boy meets girl. They go through tribulation caused by the bad guy. Then they fall in love and marry.
Well written, kept me interested and eager to read the next chapter, very hard to put down long enough to anything else! Thanks for another great read!!
