Fated mates, bonds, she was a helpless romantic for that sort of thing, but they weren’t real . When I woke up, Earth was lost. Gone in a way that meant I would never see it again and I was in a room with four utterly inhuman men who looked at me like I was their own personal miracle. The place I found myself, they call it Meraki, it’s beautiful but it’s not home, it’s not where my heart belongs. But Earth is lost, and I’ll have to find my way to a new normal. But here I have support, here the impossible things I used to read and dream about are real. But not everyone welcomes the return of the bonds, not everyone is happy with the new residents of Miraki. But I have them, and I have a decision to make. I have to decide to accept them, accept this new world, or let my heart be lost along with my old home. And if I choose acceptance, then together we’ll take on the ones that reject us.
Why-choose/RH. Overall, the concept is good but it really should be longer with more world building and character development. The climax of the story was really rushed and the spice was more soft-core, which doesn’t really translate well via writing.
You really don’t get a good feel of how the MMCs feel or who they are, which is disappointing. FMC is also eh but she could be good with more pages and depth.
Spice: 2/5 because it wasn’t descriptive and she just jumped into it while full of doubt.
I got this book as part of "stuff your kindle day" and honestly didn't know what to think. I am genuinely surprised that I enjoyed the book. The story was unique and got me interested. Love a good why choose romance. I will say, though, that I thought the s*x scenes would have been more descriptive since it's labeled as an erotic romance, but they weren't. Well, not for me. Some people may find those scenes perfect, but I was expecting more. They weren't fade to black, but they also didn't describe much. Otherwise, the book is a great, quick read that I enjoyed.
Unique short book that is about 100 pages long and can easily be read in one sitting unless life gets in the way like it did with me. The concept of the destruction of each with men from another planet saving and healing a select few was brilliant. Characters were engaging and the ending was perfect. Lots of twists and turns to get to that place. I would definitely read more from this author in the future and recommend the book.
2\5🌟 this story wasn't interesting to finish unfortunately. I got through 54% of the book and was like why bother. I rather not force myself to read something that didn't grab my attention. Which sucks, I had high hopes for this book. 😩
It feels like it's written by AI: the characters feel unrealistic, the names of the cities keep changing, the conversations feel forced. It's under 100 pages, but it was a struggle to get through.
