I am a woman in a male trucker’s world, which means I’ve developed a thick skin and a potty mouth over the years. When an EMT that I sorta kinda like decides he doesn’t like me, no skin off my nose. I can take Quinn’s snark and dish it right back at him. Until he finally realizes he’s in the wrong about me, and he goes and does something decent, like apologizing. Now what do I do with him?
QUINN
I come from a screwed-up family that I admit affects how I judge people. When I overheard Mia talking about living with someone named Jeff while she was dating my buddy Brody, I jumped to the wrong conclusion and I’ve been giving her grief ever since. I’ve finally realized I screwed up. Big time. So I’m trying to prove how sorry I am but she’s making me jump through hoops. Rightfully so.
Being around Mia, away from her truck, has let me see the soft squishy parts behind the thick armour she’s donned. But going from hating someone to trusting them is a long swing. Now I have to convince her—and myself—I’m worth the effort.
Married to her college sweetheart and the mother of two sons, Leah is the only woman in a houseful of men—even their dog and cat are male. She loves escaping the ever-multiplying dust bunnies by opening up her laptop to write about sexy heroes and the women who challenge them.
Reviewers have awarded Leah’s books numerous Top Pick and Recommended Reads designations as well as nominated them as Best Contemporary Romance, Best Erotic Romance and Best Ménage and More. Leah has also been nominated as Favorite Author and Best Erotic Romance Author.
...he really gets it wrong! But he is man enough to admit when he is wrong...and apologise...in private.....multiple times... Quinn and Mia are explosive, both when they are confrontational and then when they finally give into the lust, they will leave your Kindle steaming! I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
I am so happy that author Leah Braemel is back writing again! Texas Hook-Up is a novella set in her Barnett Springs world and I loved being back there again. This enemies to lovers book packed a punch; the hero made an assumption about the heroine and spread some rumors to his friends and the heroine has fought her attraction for him because of the attitude he’s had for her for a couple of years. On top of that the heroine is fighting for her right to become a partner in the towing company her parents founded and run but her father seems to think her male cousin deserves it more.
I really liked Mia, she is sassy and has an attitude but she has to being in a male dominated profession. I loved that she didn’t take crap from anyone and proved day in and day out she is good at her job. I think Quinn had always been a good guy and that was why when he found out that he misspoke about Mia he took it so hard and was determined to make it right. He had some scars from his childhood that affected his judgment and while that didn’t make it right, I could see how Mia’s perceived misconduct affected him.
What I loved is that despite the issue between them Mia didn’t let it fester, she could see that Quinn was basically a good man who screwed up and the fact that she was comfortable enough to let him see her hurt by her father’s actions said a lot about her trust in him. They were good together, they both called each other out on their crap but where there for one another when it mattered.
Hot, s*xy times abound in this book proving that this author has not lost he touch with writing steamy intimate moments.
I loved this story and the only thing that would have made it better was more time between the last chapter and the epilogue but I knew going in it was novella length so I can’t fault the author for that at all. Texas Hook-Up was fun, steamy, and emotional and Leah Braemel is BACK in the romance game and I’m here to welcome her with open arms!
A new author to me, I've been following the Everything's Bigger in Texas series and picked up Leah Braemel's contribution (set in her Barnett Springs Romance world), Everything Bigger in Texas. So happy to have found a new author to enjoy. An enemies-to-lovers romance, Quinn and Mia have chemistry in spades. Mia is an unconventional heroine yet her independent, sassy spirit make her easy to root for. And Quinn is a guy who can admit when he's wrong - who doesn't love that?! An entertaining, spicy romance well worth a read!

These two are great as enemies to lovers! There was always something between them, good and bad. I loved how the story came to light, the fun that was there, along with the attraction that flared. Mia definitely has strong emotions, and I waffled between rooting for her and wanting to give her a hug. Quinn is a good guy that made a mistake, and it was awesome how he handled it. These two definitely are ready for their HEA!
This was a really sweet enemies to lovers romance. It was my first book by this author and I can already say that it won’t be my last. I really enjoyed the writing style and I felt connected to the characters. Mia and Quinn had good chemistry and once the misunderstanding was resolved they were a great match. I really enjoyed the story.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This story is about Quinn and Mia who have the chance to go from enemies to much more. Mia is a woman who's straight up honest, hard working and out to prove herself. Thanks to Quinn jumping to conclusions, these two have both bad and good sparks flying between them. He is man enough to admit when he's wrong, in the best of ways. I thought the characters had plenty of chemistry and the story was a good one
Mia is a woman trucker in a male dominated world, and Quinn is an EMT. When Quinn overhears a conversation, he jumps the gun before realizing that he made a mistake. Apologising to Mia is not easy as she makes him work for it. This is a well written enemies / lovers’ story, with family, friendships, passion, emotions, misunderstandings, redemption, and love, which leads to a fun and steamy page turner. Texas Hook-UP: WOW! Exciting, intense, drama and romance! Fantastic writing and great characters. Even though she was been working for father for a long time he jyst didn't see she was doing a better job then her cousins. He felt that because she was a female that it would do well to make a partner in the company. Mia was hurt, so she went to see the one person that would be honest with her because he see her on the science a lot. It was a great story!
Quinn messed up after a misunderstanding with Mia, Mia a lady in a mans trucking world and rolls woth the punches of life but when Quinn comes back with a curve ball apology what does she do? Well written steamy romance.

Quinn & Mia had an entertaining read. She's a woman in a male trucker’s world, which means she's developed a thick skin and a potty mouth over the years. When an EMT that she sorta kinda likes decides he doesn’t like her. She can dish it right back at him. Great book. And a new author for me. Am voluntarily leaving my review.
Quinn and Mia have an intense relationship. He's spread rumors about her and she had to set him straight. She's also having to battle her dad on her ownership rights to the shop he owns. She's fiesty and won't back down. Her chemistry with Quinn is hot and they have some things to work through, but they make it all work out.
