Weekend Wedding Vows

Rate this book
I’m not the girl guys date. I’m not the girlfriend. I’m the friend with benefits. Or the friend who was briefly something more. I’m the girl who is pretty enough to sleep with on a weeknight, but not take out on weekends. I’m the girl who they’ll cuddle with on the couch while watching a movie, but who they don’t take out to dinner. I’m the one they call last minute when plans fall through, but who isn’t pretty enough to make plans with in advance. I’m the placeholder between relationships. Maybe it's my turn to use a placeholder.

Paige is a sportswriter for the Bay Area Express and is in Vegas covering a fight for Bay Area native, Jace Play, who happens to be her brother. She's tired of her brother and his teammates interfering with her life. She and his childhood best friend, who she hasn't seen in almost 8 years, decide to play a fake marriage prank.

Only things don't go exactly as they planned.

Sometimes what happens in Vegas doesn't stay there.

brother's best friend, best friend's little sister, fake marriage, vacation fling

JLynn Autumn is a part-time writer who dreams of the day she can be a full-time writer. She’s a lifelong bookworm. She’s a reader, a writer, and an advocate. She’s passionate about social justice, education reform, and special education service equity. She is married to her “game changer.” The man who showed her that being made a priority and treated with respect should be the standard not the exception. They have one daughter, who is sassy, bossy, opinionated, and keeps them on their toes. JLynn Autumn thinks coffee is a magic liquid that brings her to life most mornings; pizza and tacos should be their own food group; late nights are always better than early mornings; houseplants are a waste of space and will always be forgotten about and die; and that poodles and poodle mixes are the best pets. She’s a huge fan of snark, sarcasm, and happily ever after in real life and in books.

I received this as an arc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This was a cute fake marriage romance. I really enjoyed most of the story especially the parts in Las Vegas. There was such a great connection between Paige and Stefan. Then part of the story became too implausible for me and it bugged me. It had potential to be a great story but it just didn’t quite get there.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It's the perfect read for someone who's looking for something short, steamy, fun, and with a lot of heart. Jlynn Autumn has created really lovable and relatable characters. She makes me wanna be friends with all of them.
