This is the very best book/resource and reference for given (first and middle) name traits and characteristics I've ever come across. It's totally unlike those simplistic "name your baby" books. It starts with 79 so-called Pilot Names or "models" from whence 9000 names can be devised or as the author states are "cosmic pigeonholes". No information on ethnology or historic usage of names are given; most names are Western and European.

Brief chapters give guidance regarding name changes, choosing a name and the colors of names.

Names are indexed into male and female and given information on: Basic Character, Your Psychology, How You Act and React in the World, Your Deep Intuitive Personality, Your Intelligence, Your Emotional Nature, Your Health and Vitality and The Social You.

Element, Mineral, Animal, Plant, Sign and Color are given if one is into that kind of thing, along with a circular graph named The Wheel of Character with percentages of psychological parameters in 24 areas from Success, Luck, Profession, Marriage, Studies to Energy and Journeys.

This seriously is a great resource for potential parents, authors and simply to gain more insight into oneself, friends, family, loved ones and coworkers. Amazingly accurate!!

Fascinating and addictive! I haven't heard anyone read about their own totem name and react indifferently: it is typically dead-on.

The premise is that the syllables in whichever name you are called throughout life (nickname, shortened name) trigger areas of the brain which affect your mental development in different ways.

A fun read!
