SALVAGE A ROTTING COURT. SAVE THE RAVAGED LANDS. STOP THE VILE WITCH.
In the wake of a brutal attack from the Vile witch, Atarah Nefarin and her friends travel to where the rot originates in the last wild lands of Silver Moon-the Packlands. Surviving the phases of transference, Atarah is now a fullborn fae with magic akin to the dark god. To salvage a rotting court, she absorbs the corrupted dark magic and burns the bodies it leaves behind. Feeding the starving land returns vitality to a crumbling court, and as a result, the Bloom nears. Yet a Vile witch undermines her and her friends efforts by unearthing an ancient loophole to tear open the Rift. Atarah and her friends race not only to heal a broken land, but also stop a deranged witch from unleashing vengeful gods who've been locked away since the mark of time.
Rayth Lucin no longer hides behind a mask of deceit after Atarah uncovers his truth. Grappling with his newfound freedom, Rayth follows Atarah and her friends into the Packlands. The odds are stacked against them while a vicious storm battles overhead. Atarah and Rayth must slowly discover what the future holds for them in a court on the brink of civil war, and where the Vile witch stalks them at every possible turn. While the courts around them watch, Atarah and her friends are determined to fight against the odds and prevail above all.

I received an arc of this lovely novel! I love the darker themes in this book compared to the previous two. The series gets more interesting as we go on and that’s so exciting! I loved seeing more of the world and comparisons and relationships develop. All in all, this was a lovely addition to the series and I absolutely can’t wait for more!!
BY THE GODS, I NEED A FEW BUSINESS DAYS TO PROCESS EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED IN THAT LAST CHAPTER….because it was heartbreaking in the most achingly beautiful way and I CANNOT believe that cliffhanger!!! I need the next book ASAP
First and foremost, thank you Sierrah M Strange for this amazing ARC. This book was everything I thought it would be and more. There are SOOO many aspects of the book that I enjoyed but for the sake of not spoiling too much, I’ll keep it as short and sweet as possible. With that said, I found myself giddy with all the sweet moments with Rayth. They were perfection. Not only do we get a “touch her and 💀” scene but here as some of my fav quotes that gave me all the 🦋
🦋 “Touch her again and I’ll have no choice but to burn your eyes down to the sockets.” pls who doesn’t love a possessive fae 🥹 🦋 “I’ve dreamt of this moment, when I could feast on you all over again. Since the night flower forest, I’ve found myself craving the taste of you.” BRB swooning for yet again another fictional character 🫡 🦋 “Eyes on me, my dark sweet.” Literally screaming in my pillow rn 😎 🦋 “My life means nothing if you’re not in it.” I mean CMON MY HEART CANT TAKE IT 🥰
I was also pleasantly surprised by the humor in this book. I loved Sorra’s personality that came through. How she teases Vorlath, and how raunchy she can be. Even with the new characters that were introduced, I found myself laughing. And Isen??? I cherish the moments between Atarah and Isen.
Also the worldbuilding?!? I felt like I was there right alongside the gang. The Packlands were unsettling, and very much gave the “creepy crawlies” as Rayth would say. I was HERE for it.
And let’s not even get me started on all the TWISTS because honey, I was spinning 😵💫 all the things in The Rot Below were wrapped up nicely and addressed in The Ravaged Below while also setting it up for book four, which I need IMMEDIATELY
If you made it this far, do yourself a favor and read it!!!
Thank you to Sierrah Strange for sending me an ARC! I’m leaving my honest review.
4.25 Stars: Firstly, I adore how the story is quite dark, yet also balanced with sweet moments. In comparison to Book 2, I think that the pacing and flow are greatly improved as well. I still felt that there were some unnecessary or repetitive scenes, but they were integrated well and didn’t detract from the main plot or throw off the feeling of the book. The worldbuilding continues to become more and more interesting (I especially loved reading about the morbid effects of the rot on the land), though I was slightly confused by some of the references to technology from the Above, which seemed a bit out of place at times. In terms of my personal preferences, some of the wording choices were a bit distracting and didn’t seem to fit my perception the story setting and context, but since that’s minor and only my perspective, it won’t affect my rating. Additionally, there was a lot of fantastic character growth and development, which I loved. Overall, I’m definitely looking forward to the next book, especially after the ending!
This was my favorite series to read in 2023. Could not wait for this book to come out and it did not disappoint. This book is full of laughter, fun, magic, adventure and the perfect amount of 🌶️. I just know I will keep coming back to it. I could barely put it down. The covers are gorgeous and I am OBSESSED with all of the characters. I never thought I’d say this, but I want a gargoyle BFF after this series. I loved this book! The ending of this book was CRIMINAL and cannot wait for the next one!!!
It is been a fantastic journey. I love all the twists and turns you do in each book. A lot has happened here snd the final part left me terrified!!! Every character here was exceptional and would like them to be all at the end. There are still some mysteries to discover and I cannot wait for the next book The Rift Below. I’m still in shock of all that happens at the end! Great job Sierrah!
Thank you Sierrah for letting me be an ARC reader. I love diving into the world she has created. She has done it again on keeping me at the edge of me seat. This was a good read and would recommend it and the others in the series if you have not read them yet.
Man, book 3 got me again! That cliffhanger has me dying!! I cannot get over what Rayth did! I need book 4 now!!! I can't get enough of Atarah and her crew! I need more Norin though! This book has an amazing shadow daddy that we love and all the smut you might want! Absolutely love this series!
