A mediocre choice for a starter bible for very young children. My child seems to enjoy it, however I am disappointed that it leaves out some critical elements of the gospel message.

Eli liked it well enough, but I will not be reading it to him again. There is no mention of the saving work of Christ in the whole thing... Calling it a "Bible" is sacrilege.

This Bible has a padded cover, board pages, and cute, cartoony pictures. It generally sticks to one spread per story, and it covers some of the major Bible tales: creation, Noah's ark, Moses' life, Daniel and the lions, Jesus' birth and ministry. The stories are generally brief enough to appeal to the board book set.

Me & my daughter read this together over time & she loved it! Really got us talking about God's word more! She just turned 6 and says because she enjoyed this so much & wants to hear more she is ready for a complete bible! :)

Maybe my favorite children's Bible, and I've read quite a few. Biblically accurate, great story selection, and moves through the Bible in order from Genesis to Revelation. Loved this for morning devotions with my young kids!

A good simple children's illustrated introduction to the old and New Testaments. Followed by Parent Pages that can be used as extensions to share and understand more deeply the teachings on a practical level. Biblical citations are next to the Parent page, but unfortunately no back references to the content in the book.

This is a good book for getting the 'general idea': the sequence of events historically, the basic characters - their names, roles, and basic character, where things were happening, and some definitions. There are few details, interpretations, anything deep, scary, or judgmental.
IMO, the book could be read to any pK-3 group (it might not build on what older students
already know) ... it could be leveled up to 5th grade for readers. It really depends on your groups.
The extensions are useful for all ages.

A simple basic map would have been useful.

sands off the edges for kids, but somehow the word 'slaves' is still in this book, waiting to be explained by an unsuspecting parent! hey dont mind this review, i only idly read this book, standing in a wal-mart aisle on dec 28th to fulfill my 2018 reading challenge, along with 30+ other small childrens books i read in a library across the street. this book is obviously not for me but is perfectly fine at what it sets out to do. but what about me, hmm? am i perfectly fine at what i set out to do?

My children love these little books. They thoroughly enjoy each and every story, as if they are all unique and individual without any cause for similarity among them. Even though sometimes, they might seem tedious and repetitive to me as a parent, I do enjoy being able to read short-stories to my children that are clean and respective.

Padded cover, sturdy pages, fun illustrations. But does not include anything about sin. It goes right from creation being pronounced "very good," to Noah. No mention of why Jesus came, his crucifixion, or the resurrection. In other words, this "Bible" has no gospel. It's not what I want for reading to my grandchildren.

I enjoyed reading this very abbreviated collection to my infant son before bed at night. It's got some lovely, vibrant illustrations, some very basic introductory Bible stories, and good pacing for a short attention span.

Good overview of The Bible. But! Hear me out, for the atheist/agnostic family. Undoubtedly the children will come in contact with stories and mentions and at least this way, they’ll have been exposed to it in a similar vein to Greek myths, etc. There’s no proselytising or mention of being saved.

A catholic spin on this early reader that has more biblical error (such as the wisemen gave gifts, not kings). It also just believing, nothing about baptism or why Christ came to earth.

I read all the short stories in this book and I founded it all fascinating. For the most part, I thought it was a really great book because it's like a timeline of the bible. It starts with the creation story and ends with Jesus and the children. I really enjoyed the story about David and Goliath because I never really read the story about it. This book will make a great book for reading aloud, especially for children who have not heard these stories yet, such as me. These stories are very old and a part of an oral history, so children can have a better understanding of different religious belief.

The stories from the bible, such as Noah's Ark tells a story of legends. I really liked this children's book because it has a lot animals and it's very colorful. I like the idea that Noah saved the animals by gathering them into a giant ark. Since, legends are stories told from generation after generation I thought I would share a great game to get students or children involve in an activity. The activity is called the telephone game. The game is played by telling a person a sentence and the line of students whisper it, into each others ear. The last person who hers the sentence, re-tells it.

A lovely second Bible for any child who wants to learn more about the Bible. The Bible presents key books from the Bible (both the Old and New Testament) in a collection of short stories with lively and colorful illustrations and fun snippets of information.

This book definitely makes the Bible accessible to any child in a fun, clear, and concise way.

My daughter enjoyed this book so much she asked me to read it with her, twice. We might even go through it one more time to refresh her memory during the summer months.

This children's Bible stands out with its brief, informative notes that explain the people, places, conventions, and concepts that appear in the stories. The pictures are bright, colorful, and modern; and the stories well cover the content and message of the Bible. It lays a good foundation for reading the whole Bible later on.

Board book style,OT and NT, some are longer, some, 1-2 pages per Biblical account. Cartoon drawings and those included confine this to children, rather than Alzheimer crossover. Well done, inviting illustrations.ABS.

This has some nice art in it and it tells some of the bible stories in a very simple fashion. However, it leaves out the story that is central to scripture. It leaves out Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection.

Amazing artwork

Flows well! A great visual took to go along with Bible studies. Would like to see a bit about the Second Coming and Heaven but it's nice to see the cute depictions of Eden. The colors are beautiful.
