A very non-traditional family!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙🖤💚❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍
Character development: 😔🤓🥰

The heroine: Clara - she worked for her parents' pizza place all through high school, though she hated it. She didn’t like it any better after being away for four years at college, but after her dad died, she came home to help her mom out and a year later, she is still working at Tony’s Pizza. Her happy place is the fire station where they order delivery every Friday night. Clara has a bit of a crush on one of the firefighters, Jordan. Though all of them are a treat to look at.

The Heroes: Jordan, Derek & Taylor - California firemen at station 31 in Riverville.
Jordan - He is handsome and muscular with dark hair, a short beard and green eyes.
Derek - he is a captain on the Riverville fire station, since he is in charge, everyone calls him Chief. He is a quiet man, a bit of an introvert.
Taylor - he is a part-time probationary firefighter while he finishes college. He has blond hair and a strong body.

The Story: One Friday when Clara was delivering pizza to the firehouse, she chatted with the guys for a bit and Jordan finally asked her out since they both got off work at 9 pm. They have a fantastic date and a fun time seeing a rom-com with Emma Stone and Timothée Chalamet, though I can’t imagine those two having much on screen chemistry. Jordan and Clara are flirtatious and teasing and have terrific chemistry. When she asks Jordan why he finally asked her out, he tells her that the other two guys have big crushes on her as well and he wanted to do it before they did.

The date ends rather abruptly when Jordan gets a call from the firehouse that they need him to return. Clara is a bit disappointed but understands. It turns out that a baby was left at the station and the guys need to care for it, especially after finding out how backed up the social workers are and how there is a lull in baby adoption. The baby, Anthony, would most likely go to an overcrowded foster or group home.

The premise with regards to the baby is kind of weak, especially given the fact that I really doubt there is ever a lull in baby adoptions, with so many gay couples and couples that can’t have their own kids. Also, the fact that they can’t let the other shift of firemen find out they have the baby since one of them has it out for the captain’s job and wants nothing more than to catch him doing something wrong. However, I like the fact that Clara is supposed to stay there with the men and the baby. I kind of like forced proximity in a romance.

Safe Haven

I enjoyed the book but I really loved that ending. 🔥💜🔥 Definitely gratifying! 🔥🎉

Clara goes from delivery girl to nanny. I appreciated that variances in laws by state, especially Safe Haven laws, took to the stage and the unexpected situation it created.

Billy getting his comeuppance was almost as satisfying as Clara being properly shared between Derek, Taylor, and Jordan. OK. Maybe not that good but it was pretty fantastic twist. 😂

Clara's family - mom, brother, and brother-in-law - add terrific moments of comedic relief throughout. 💜😂💜 They also manage to create a bridge to prior characters of Cassie Cole's.

This was very insta love and while I love an insta love trope, this was…not fun to read. Yea, firemen were hot, but this was not executed well :(

Clara moved back to help her mom when her father died. They are trying to keep the family restaurant going but Clara doesn't want to spend her life doing that. Taylor, Jordan and Derek are fire fighters, and all are attracted to Clara. When Clara makes their delivery, they end up having to go out on a call. However, Jordan asks her out before he leaves to go out. When they have their date things heat up and Jordan tells her about the other guys liking her too and about how they talked about sharing her. Clara is intrigue by the idea but isn't sure what she wants yet. Then Jordan calls her to help with something and she goes only to find the guys with a baby. The baby has been left at the firehouse but the mom didn't realize she could get in trouble because the time had lapsed for her to do this. Clara ends up helping the guys with the baby and soon things heat up between all of them. Will they get to keep the baby? Will they still be together once everything settles?

This is a steamy story that will hook you in the first chapter and leave you wanting more with the last one. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

— i can see why some people start fires, - i breathed. - if it means you come to rescue them.

this was my first time reading cassie cole and i know it won’t be the last! i really liked the way she developed each character in the story (usually authors don’t know how to give a good personality for each men in a reverse harem relationship)…

i gave 3 starts cause the book it was cute but nothing OMG GIVE ME MORE. it’s fine if you want to just spend some time reading something nice :)

eh :/
i dont know. i dont know! i just didnt mesh with this. i think it was because it was both CR and RH, and i guess i just prefer rh's to be in a fantasy/paranormal/abo world. i just didnt feel the chemistry between any of the characters other than "they are hot and nice people".

Firemen fantasies. yes please.

Clara Ricci moved back to town after her beloved father had passed and she decided to stay home to help her mother with the family restaurant. Friday nights were her favorite night. It was the night, they ordered pizza and she got to deliver it to the fire house... 🚒 and those sexy fireman. The last year has been full of flirting, lingering looks and blushing.
Finally, when one of them makes a move and asks her out. Things are amazing! The date is fantastic and she has high hopes for their future. Only when she finally does get that call back, things seem different.

When Clara arrives at the firehouse - theirs a new person in addition to Jordan, Taylor and Derek. It’s a baby!!! And it’s clear the guys have zero idea what to do.

She decides to stay and help with the baby after the foster care system is full and only complaint-filed foster houses are available. When the guys get closer to Clara, things start to heat up and not just the fires they put out. 😉😉🔥

This was a super cute book! I really enjoy this author and was hoping for more steam individually but it was a heartwarming story! (The steam I group activities was pretty hottt tho 🥵) This definitely gave you all the feels. It was sexy, comforting, sad, heart felt and endearing! I enjoyed all of the characters. It was a bit of a slow burn with ALL of the guys and I wanted more.
This book hit home personally for me so I was more sensitive I think that others. Adopting a child is a wonderful gift and these characters went above and beyond and just gave you that feel-good type vibe after.

*Overall 4/5
*Heat? 4/5
*Fast-Slow Burn 😂 - 23% first guy, 61% with ALL the guys
*First person POV - 4 characters
*MFMM Romance (No MM)
*HEA! Yes x10

This one wasn’t my favorite. It was kind of weak to be honest.
I didn’t feel like any of the guys or the relationship was anything special. And there weren’t even really any relationship dating or sex scenes in the whole book. All of that kind of seemed like an afterthought to the main story.

There were also a few weird things : like the leading lady having two Sicilian parents, but she has blonde hair?? Which is a little weird. One of her boyfriends is a virgin and she wants to make his first time somewhat special, yet she has sex with him in the backseat of his car. Seemed a little weird.
One of her love interest has his old wedding picture framed next to his bed even though he’s been divorced for nine years, talk about a red flag. Yet she had absolutely nothing to say about that. And that same guy seemed way more interested in the baby than in her at all.
I thought the epilogue was cute. I’m happy they’re all still together. But the book itself was just kinda weak, and I wasn’t really that into it.

A Fun Read

Cole has become one of my go to authors when I'm looking for a fun and steamy RH read. This time we get three gunky firemen who find themselves with a surrendered baby that they have to take care of for awhile. Enter Clara who has been working at the family pizza joint after the death of her father. She has a crush on the guys and they have a thing for her. This is handy when they need a nanny for the baby. While trying to make things work they all get closer slowly building a solid fun relationship. This makes for a great read as it all plays out. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

Clara is an enjoyable fmc, she’s warm, caring and playful. The mmc’s are all good characters, I will say I didn’t connect with Derek as much as Taylor or Jordan, but he’s a grumpy sweet man. Clara’s mom is baby crazy and fun. You also get some cameos from Jason and Maurice from Cassie coles recent nanny for the seals novel, it took me a second to realize that’s who it was but great to see them again.

A sweet book, but the narrators are not my favorite. His voice for Derek felt ridiculous, and her reading of the sex scenes was too over-the-top to give it a proper 5 stars. But it was still an enjoyable listening experience, as are most of Cassie Cole's books.

Un an.

Clara mostly hates working at the family pizza place but after she finished college, she came home to help her mother with the restaurant after her father died. The only part she enjoyed is delivering orders to the local fire station but man those firefighters were hot! Her mother keeps pressuring her to date and provide her with another grandchild. Clara would love to date any one of the three firemen but she has been delivering to them for a year and no one has asked her out yet. However this Friday is different. Jordan actually does invite her out.Clara really does enjoy her date with Jordan but he lets it slip that the other two firemen, Derek and Taylor have a crush on her too. It was just about time for a good night kiss when Jordan gets called back to the station. Clarais hopeful that the relationship can go further but then it seems like Jordan is blowing her off. She is just starting to get annoyed when Jordan begs for her help. Clara comes running.

Derek, Jordan and Taylor work together at the fire department and make a great team. They all have their eye on Clara and have made a deal that the first one who asks her out will talk to her about being with all three of them. While Jordan is on his date with Clara, something unusual is happening at the station. A mother left her 2 month old baby at the station under the safe haven laws. The problem is the two month limit is for Texas and not California. The firefighters are all concerned about the baby and the mother. They don't want the mother to be arrested for abandoning her baby and they want the baby to go to a loving home. The problem is right now there is no good foster parents right now until a few weeks later when the increased budget kicks in. They decide to keep the baby under wraps at the station until better arrangement can be made. However none of them know anything about babies so they call Clara over to help them out. When Clara learns about the baby and the fact that he shares her dad's name, she takes it as a sign that she is meant to help out. Derek, Jordan, Taylor and Clara get closer and become a family while taking care of baby Tony.

Firemen fantasy fulfilled 🚒

🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 Oh, baby! This book is so much fun! This is a contemporary, slow to medium-burn reverse harem romance. It has plenty of graphic, steamy hot love scenes, laugh-out-loud moments, exciting, fast-paced action, and (of course) lots of sexy firefighters. Make sure you’re near a fire extinguisher while reading. It almost burned up my Kindle.

“I’ve actually never had a fireman fantasy… But after tonight, I don’t think I’ll ever have anything BUT fireman fantasies.”

I like how Clara and her sexy firemen – Jordan, Taylor, and Derek – spent a year just flirting before they finally started dating. Jordan is the first to ask her out, so he’s also the first to light her on fire (metaphorically). It takes only a day or so before Clara is invited to the fire house by Jordan, and it’s not for the reason she had hoped: a baby was left on the doorstep.

I am over the moon about how the old cliché / trope of the baby in a basket is used in the story. It works as a catalyst for a lot of things. Baby Anthony sparks a new living arrangement, an unconventional relationship or three, the villain’s actions, and part of the main character’s development from uncertain and undecided to having a goal and a purpose. I LOVE how things end with the baby and his biological mother. I also adore the Epilogue and the Bonus Scene.

My favorite part of this book is the way the foster care system is presented. While the situation with Anthony is a bit of a stretch, it is very true that most departments of Social Services are underfunded and overworked. I liked having one of the main characters, Derek, aka “Chief,” as a former foster kid. It helped explain why the baby is being taken care of on the sly.

A few more of my favorite things: Clara’s driver’s license; Clara’s brother, Jason, and her brother-in-law Maurice (they are also in Nanny for the SEALs) helping out; Jordan and his rom-coms; Derek sleeping with the baby on his chest; Taylor and the back seat; the oven running gag; and Anthony almost always being called “Baby Anthony.”

A few typos and a bit of a glitch or two with the kids’ ages and size / school years.

Clara Ricci’s family owns Tony’s Pizza restaurant. Clara went away to college for four years. When she was done, she went back to work at the restaurant to help her mother. Her father passed away. She has been stuck there for over a year and the most excitement for her is going to the Riverville Fire station on Friday nights with their order.

Clara takes the Friday night order to the fire house. She likes taking a few extra minutes to chat with the guys. Tonight, Jordan Lloyd, the one she is most drawn to, is there. The other two guys are Derek Dahlkemper, the chief since he is in charge of the firehouse and Taylor Heath, the probationary firefighter who is finishing his college classes. Just as the guys were starting to eat, the siren goes off. Clara tells them that she will put the pizza and pasta in the kitchen for them. Jordan rushes up to her and asks her is she wants to have a beer when they both get off at 9:00 pm. She says yes.

They have fun and Jordan tells Clara that Derek and Taylor like her too. They even had a bet going to see who would ask her out first. Right when the night is ending, Jordan gets a call from Derek asking him to come back to the firehouse for an emergency. He settles for kissing Clara’s cheek and leaving. On Monday, Jordan calls Clara and asks her to come by the firehouse. A small baby named Anthony, that is two months old, was left on the firehouse doorstep on Friday night. They have been keeping the baby in Derek’s soundproof bedroom all weekend. Derek’s sister works for social services in Fresno. She told him that they have to wait until they have more resources to take Anthony. If they turn the baby over now, the baby will go into an overcrowded foster home. Clara ends up volunteering to be Anthony’s nanny. A friend who is a lawyer told Derek that they need to keep the baby at the firehouse the majority of the time so it does not look like they are trying to kidnap the baby.

Interesting turn of events. It was also interesting how much all three men liked Clara. I wondered how things were going to play out with Anthony and the foursome personally.

—No me molesta.
Él me sonrió.

—Yo me encargo. Vuelve a dormir, bonita.
«Bonita». Me gustaba esa palabra.

'Nanny for the Firemen' by Cassie Cole is a well developed story with interesting characters and an intriguing plot which tells the story of Clara, who works at the family pizzeria, and Jordan, Taylor, and Derek (Chief), firemen at the local station. Clara moved home after her father died to help her mother with the family restaurant and and she was feeling a little hemmed in. She didn't mind helping her mother but she thought after graduating from college she would get to see a bit more of the world. Luckily, she gets to deliver pizza to her favorite firehouse and flirt with her three favorite firemen every Friday.

Jordan, Taylor, and Derek all thought Clara was quite attractive and each wanted to go out with her. Jordan got the nerve up first to ask her out. Clara was quite happy to accept. While they were on their date Jordan got called back to the station house but not for a fire. A baby was left at the station as it is a designated safe place. The firemen didn't know what to do with the baby and Derek didn't want to call child services right away because he knows what the foster system was like as he and his sister grew up in it. The men are hoping that Clara would be willing to help them take care of the baby until they could figure out what was the best thing to do for the baby.

Ms. Cole has written an engaging story with likable characters and a charming plot. The references regarding foster children was written with compassion and heart. The story is emotional, with some angst, laughs, passion, and plenty of steam. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes some heat with their romance.

Throughout her life, Clara has relied on serendipity. She chose her directions based on accidents or coincidences. Before her dad passed, she made a promise to name her first child Anthony in his honor. A year has passed, and she is still stuck in the same place; helping her mum run the family business. Her highlight is delivering pizzas to the local firehouse every Friday evening and chatting with the three hot firefighters: Derek, Jordan and Taylor.

She is pleased when Jordan asks her out on a date. She has been crushing on him for almost a year despite being attracted to Derek and Taylor. Their date is interrupted by the arrival of a baby outside the firehouse.

Willing to risk their careers, Derek, Jordan and Taylor decide to keep baby Anthony hidden (within the firehouse) until a suitable foster family can be located. Upon learning the name of the child, Clara makes a decision to become the child’s full-time nanny whilst the guys are on shift. “I knew that coincidences happened in life. Not everything had to be a sign. Maybe that’s all Anthony was. A series of weird coincidences in a small town outside Fresno. Crazier things had happened in this world”.

This is a RH. The guy’s ask Clara to consider dating each of them together. Initially she is shocked but soon realizes that together each of them offers her a unique perspective to the perfect man!

What I liked most about this book is whether intentional or not, the author was able to touch on the social injustices of the welfare system in America. At how some families choose to foster to provide children with the love and support of a family but there are others who unfortunately, choose to foster for the paycheck.

Thoroughly enjoyed this touching and steamy story.

Clara Ricci works at her father's restaurant in Riverville. After finishing college she came home to help her mother run the restaurant after her father passed. She is at loose ends in her life and is looking for a sign for what to do with her future.
Jordan Lloyd, Taylor Heath and Derek Dahlkemper (aka Chief) are firemen at local fire station 31. Every Friday night they order delivery from the Ricci's restaurant and look forward to seeing Clara. They all want to date her and have decided sharing her would be to everyone's benefit. Jordan asks her out and they start seeing each other. He broaches the subject to her of sharing with the others.
A baby boy, Anthony, is left at the door of the station one night and Derek calls his sister who works for Social Services for advice. Having been raised in the foster system they are both concerned about the baby's welfare. Jordan calls Clara for help and she watches the baby in the fire station while they work and at Derek's house when they are off. They have to avoid any of the other firemen from knowing the circumstances surrounding the baby. They have a problem with one lazy power hungry fireman and have to make tough decisions. They resolve the issue and get their HEAs.

Hot but unrealistic

Although this book is a eroctica romance I think that it also has to be put under fantasy as well, because though well written the scenario of this book is completely unrealistic. Let me clarify, the possiblity of sharing a woman between three men is entirely possible, the situation that makes her their nanny is not. Putting that aside, I liked the book. The characters each had their own backstory and personality, the interaction between the four is well written and has some serious and some fun bits here and there. The sex scenes are toasty and explict which gives the book a pepper rating of Manzano, it's not the hottest but it will get your blood pumping. With that stated I had to rate this book at a 3.5 out of 5 stars because I just coudn't find this plausible. (I know that is silly, but if you want to write a story about certain professions than you have to make sure you make it believable, and do your homework.) I wont point out exact issues but somethings just would never happen and I have a hard time getting past that.

This book is a quick hot read so, I recommend this to someone who wants a steamy read to warm up. I wouldn't recommend this book if you want a plauisble story, or if you know too much about the foster care system.

I hope this helps you find your next Tantalizing Tome!
