An Answer from the Heart

Rate this book
The company takeover was really unsettling.

Even worse, to Maxine, was the prospect of having Kurt Raynor as her new boss.

She'd been quite content with things the way they were, so it was a shock to find the arrogant, dynamic Mr. Raynor had other ideas and expected her to be there whenever he whistled.

However, Maxine wasn't about to resign just yet. Kurt had presented her with a challenge, and she was going to meet it. She never suspected that it could change her whole life....

Maxine adjusted to her simple and steady work as a secretary to Mr. Dunn in his furniture company. However, her quiet life turned upside down when the company was sold to Kurt Rayner! Not only was he not satisfied with everything in the company, but he was also challenging and infuriating Maxine to a boiling degree! Maxine is now fighting two thing: ONE: the inclination to give her resignation to defy Kurt and his impossible demands of her full time! TWO: her growing attraction to him!

An okay read as a whole. I gave it 3 stars for the mere reason it wasn't boring. But, to be honest, some parts of the story lacked conviction and others needed more elaboration like the employer/employee relationship and the ending.
