All Hermione wanted was a quiet year back at Hogwarts. Instead, she is tricked into drinking a Love Potion with Draco Malfoy. Smut, angst and questions follow, mainly who planted this Love Potion and why?
> "I was thinking maybe we could try…without the phials," he murmured. Hermione’s breathing was shallow. Was he serious? Did he not want the addictive, floaty feeling of the potion anymore? "But…I thought…don't you want to forget?" "I don't think I need to anymore"
> "I can imagine myself living a happy life without children. I cannot imagine a happy life without you."

I don't know if I really liked how the romance started, with both of them driven by the love potion. I thought the beginning was a bit forced, but I enjoyed reading it more as the book went on. I felt their chemistry, I liked them together, but I didn't really like the "villain." These moments bothered me a bit, but in the end, it's a good book, worth reading. The ending is a bit rushed, it didn't really develop their relationship after 6 years, but it was ok.
Interesting concept and strong beginning, but it lost focus as it went on. There were some distracting errors (Cho was a year ahead, so she would not be in their Eighth Year, etc.), incorrect word usages, and plot inconsistencies (How could the Muggleborn antagonist have been taught protection spells by his muggle mom? Unless I totally misunderstood something...). The first sex scenes were delightful, but they became kinky in a way that didn't quite fit. For me, they were also less titillating as they went on (note to the author, "gullet" is not a sexy word).
I enjoyed the candid conversations between Draco and Hermione and his genuine reflection. I think his change of heart and the reasons he became what he was were explained well and felt authentic. Though their relationship progressed a bit too quickly and Hermione's interest in him was less believable. Having them learn more about each other by visiting different rooms from their lives in the Room of Requirement was a nice touch.
I thought the main plot conflict was a bit silly and that it didn't have enough impact throughout the story to feel like it mattered. The resolution was quick and and I did not find it very interesting. It was nice to see Ron portrayed as more mature and capable of growth (So much Ron bashing in so many fics! I think he deserves better).
