17-year-old Staecy isn't seeing eye-to-eye with his parents on anything, let alone his desire to get a car or to skip out on college. A tense showdown inspires him to go outside and smoke a joint, but once he goes outside, he's horrified by a mysterious monster with haunting, fly-like eyes. Slipped #1 "Nostalgia, Ultra" is the first(?) episode in a story about interdimensional travel, missed opportunities, the veil of parenthood, and a Black family whose love knows no bounds.
