Length- 77 chapters + 3 extras 3rd person POV English Fan Translation
Duan FeiZhou (MC) is a medical student who clicks on a spam email and transmigrates into the body of Leo Chester in Victorian England. He then has a chance encounter with Detective Z (ML) who is tasked with hunting occult practitioners and is part of the ‘Nightmen’ aka a special branch of Scotland Yard.
Objectively this was bat shit crazy and all over the place. Subjectively it was good fun.
Likes - Crime/mysteries that took place in the 1st half

- Victorian England/ Scotland setting
- HEA ending where everything wraps up nicely
Dislikes
- I was conflicted how I felt about the MC throughout the story. He becomes really OP in the end.
Sometimes I would be rooting for him because he had a good heart and was helping people.
Then I would remember that he ATE his uncle’s ashes to get magical powers and it kinda grossed me out.
I also thought it was odd that he was ok with the ML stabbing him in the beginning and that he thought it was acceptable ‘because he is hot’. Mate, that’s not a normal reaction to have when someone stabs you.
- After that, I found the romance to be a bit of a hard sell.
- The humour- all the jokes are pretty much all based around Harry Potter
Novel updates compares this as a BL short version of 'Lord of the Mysteries'. I've never read that story so can't say whether it's accurate or not.

I wasn't sure about this one in the start but then it got good like 10 percent in and then stayed good. The relationship was kinda random but like at the same time was perfect.
