Just ok

I think I'm just over the Olivia Knight series. I just can't really stand the character any longer so this will probably be my last read from this series. The way the character accuses people and passes judgment without proof, I just no longer care about reading any further. I do like the Blake Wilder series which I think is the best by far.

A definite must read book and series

This story is listed as the first book in the second season in the Olivia Knight FBI series, and it's certainly off to a fantastic start. Olivia has always been hyper focused on her work, but now that she and Brock have finally made things official, I have a feeling that that's going to change, in the best way possible! I'm really looking forward to reading more stories from this series, and can't wait to see where it goes from here!
I would highly recommend that you begin reading this series from the beginning to get the most out of it. If you're interested, I would suggest that you start with the Blake Wilder FBI and the Pax Arrington series'. All three of these series are loosely connected, some stories more than others, but they're all absolutely fantastic stories. I think that you'll get a better understanding of all of the characters by reading all of them.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding authors.

Skip it

Just skip this one. Boring and repetitive as far as I am concerned. Made no sense.
Do e with this series.

Not one of the better in the series. Olivia needs to quit dwelling on her past and focus on her future.

Not the best in the series. Really drawn out and slow paced. Could have been shortened and made as a novella instead.

Heavy

The skin wasn’t really very much. Who would’ve think it. Olivia in the end she cute in.
Me, I was gone for where the author was leading me. But I’ll tell you what another enjoyable book for me. I believe anyone that reads us is gonna feel the same way.
You, no you. Maybe it could be you. You’re not very nice maybe it’s you.
This whole book at the ski area brought back my winter life when I was living in Northern California. Up in the Sierra Nevada Mountain working at a ski area. I’m telling you when there’s a blizzard it’s a blizzard. The site is the basically zero until you turn your lights off and then you look at the silhouette trees that are scattered around when you get close to the top. That’s how you find yourself around in blizzard conditions. You don’t need any lights to blow off them. The snow you need the silhouette trees amongst the snow snowing so he could figure out where to go. Olivia was pretty smart though gotta love that lady.
Thank you once again Elle. They’re very clever and I love the book. Thanks for keeping me and my new friends alive in my mind.
I go 50 years without ever reading a book and when I become into my 50s after everything went downhill, I picked up reading. So, here is my new author. Elle Gray. Can’t wait for my next one to see where I’m gonna go from here.

Too much time on Olivia's insecurities

I think too much time was spent talking about Olivia's insecurities in her relationship with Brock and about her job. Geez. If she still has doubts after 8 books of taking down the worst criminals and serial killers, she should not be an FBI agent. I am also tired of the misogyny theme towards her. That she is so easily ruffled by darling and sweetie, she has to keep telling herself to calm down and not throttle the stupid person? Every book? Boring.

But the most glaring mistake in book to me was when Olivia and Brock discover an exotic poison that they believe was used by the murderer. They also believed the chef or a staff member could be the killer. Yet they continued to sleep and eat at the lodge? They even had the office manager bring them some coffee. Really? I could hardly finish the book. That would NEVER happen fiction or not. LOL.

This was the weakest book.

This was a pretty decent read for me. I usually do not like the police procedural books, and I did not know that's what it was when I requested it from the library, but I love winter/ski resort thrillers, so I gave it a chance. This was my first Olivia Knight book, so I don't really know anything about her and the other characters. It was pretty good. I do wish there had been a little more to the story other than just the murder investigation. Spoiler ahead: I almost never guess who the killer is but the minute Grace said something about Fiona's daughter having the mother she deserved, I knew immediately she was the killer....which ironically is the one thing that made Olivia look into her.

What a great story! The reader finally gets to see the softer side of Olivia Knight as she embarks upon a romantic vacation with Brock. But we also get the murder mystery we've come to expect from this series, and it's an enthralling one that keeps you guessing up to the end. The only thing I could wish for is that there would have been a bit more romance, but the mystery almost made up for it. I received an ARC of this book which did not influence my review.

Good reading with twists and turns

I enjoyed the book. Olivia and Brock go on vacation to a ski lodge where some murders take place. I kept thinking throughout the book, how could FBI agents be so clueless. I figured out who the killer was before one third of the book was read. The clue was right there in front of them. However, I do love the relationship between Olivia and Brock. Can't wait to read more!

good Snowy Mystery

Go to the mountains and get a little R & R, take a break or so two FBI agents thought. One day in and murder happens during a snowstorm no less. Now during what should be holiday prep, they are drawn into the hunt for what becomes a serial killer…Was it really a Big Foot as Brenda lay dying at their feet? You can’t put it down until the killer is in their grasp!

Heartbreaking

Its not often that I find myself crying for a murderer, but once the killer started sharing their side of the story I found myself with tears in my eyes. The heart wrenching moments of their life brings to mine that the world really does need great mental health care. That people in abusive relationships need places of security to turn to for help and not for judgement.

This vacation was not perfect

It was supposed to be s vacation for Olive and Brock. No thoughts of their work in the FBI and certainly no thoughts not murder. But murder did happen, in fact more than one. All Olivia had to do was find the murderer and why the murders were happening.

solid, but still frustrating in the relationship/human interest

An unexpected death greets the intrepid agents as they try to escape work with a ski vacation as one of the guests, after a very public altercation with her husband, is found unresponsive the next morning as Olivia & Co. are checking in. Things go downhill from vacation mode after that!

The Perfect Getaway (Olivia Knight FBI Mystery Thriller Book 8)

OMG!!!!!!!!!!! This book was amazing, you didn't really know who thr serial killer was until the very end. It was the last person you would ever expect. Olivia almost put thr wrong person in jail. I can't wait to read the next book.

Who Is Killing?

Trying to figure out who was the killer and why was very involved for Olivia and Brock. They were suppose to be on vacation but got involved in the murders of four people who was a visitor or a worker. They solved the mystery only to decide they didn't have the right person. However they did decide who the killer was.

Needing to follow to the end makes good sense!

Good read. This mystery certainly kept you wondering who dunnit. Brock and Emily mostly on their own due to a small police unit at the Oregon's ski lodge. Took most of their vacation to sift through the evidence and Emily's drive to get the answers. Off the books case solved.

I finished this 8 book series. I will rate it a 7/10. The writing could have been a bit better. Maybe not as sporadic but it was a good read all the way through. Fast paced and left on a good note. It was suspenseful and full of excitement. Definitely recommend.

I am glad Brock and Olivia are together romantically. Love these mysteries. This story had a lot more description then necessary but had to read to the end. I have read everyone of your books.

The book started out like the other Olivia Knight mysteries. However, after revealing who the killer was, the story turned to the thoughts and commission of the crimes. It seemed the story stopped in the middle.

Love her books

This story has so many twists and turns, you really have to keep up with the characters and all the characters. Olivia is quite the character to follow. You never know what she's going to get into next! Or, who will catch her in the end.... or will they?

Good story, intense plot.

This was a well written book with enough suspense to keep the pages tuning. I had figured out the who early on, and the why became clear soon after. It's good to see Olivia mellowing in her attitude without losing her professional edge. Good stuff!

Easy Read - good mystery

This book gripped me from the beginning. I did get lost about how the book began and the journey but then ending tied it up nicely. I recommend for a quick read.

The first part of the book was great.... but to be honest, I really don't care for books that spend a lot of time detailing what the bad guy was thinking and feeling. Without that, I'd have given a 5 star.

I would recommend this book

Olivia is finally taking a real vacation with the live of her life. But they didn't make it through one day without a murder in their very own ski resort rental.
