this was so cuteee! where can I find a man like him? the way he praises her and helps her with her confidence ahhh🥹🤧 love that she has homies who have her back no matter what and a man who would worship the ground she walks in. my heart was crying at how cute it was and how badly I want this for myself 😭 I want more once again, these novellas are driving me insane at how short they are..💔 the way they’re so much better than some of those books that have 500+ pages, ugh. anyways I need a full novel of these two so badly, how am I gonna survive with just 100 pages!.?! 😭😭 I hate long books but for them, I’ll be willing to read one.

Shon who are you and where have you been?!? This was such a captivating and steamy novella that pulled me in from the very first sentence. Bash and Ryann were mutually smitten with each other but neither of them was brave enough to make the first move. In an effort to be near each other as much as possible they both joined the same book club and I mean bonding over books 📚🥰….. It doesn’t get any better than that! Ryann also suffers from migraines and after an episode d@mn near knocks her on her @$$, Bash doesn’t think twice about taking care of her and nursing her back to health. That’s really all it took for these two to realize that their connection was something they could no longer deny and quite frankly no longer wanted to. Ryann’s previous lover did a number on her self esteem so while she felt she was unworthy of what Bash had to offer, Bash helped her see how rare she truly was. Bash and Ryann’s twin Tyler let it be know that whatever she thought she wasn’t, she was in fact THAT CHICK. The way Bash constantly reaffirmed Ryann was everything!! This man, everything!!! He was an ALPHA in every sense of the word, intelligent, soft, kindhearted and had a heavy dose of BDE. I know sis is pregnant after the way they were hunching on everything that wasn’t nailed down. I’m looking forward to Zariah’s story. I know it’s going to be a good one!

Since I didn’t read book two, I was so happy I got another chance to revisit with the good people of Kings Town. I just adored Ryan and Sebastian. And the fact that books are what brought them together, just makes this story so much sweeter. Ryan and Bash are secretly crushing on each other but, neither of them will actually shoot their shot. Bash even joins a book club as an excuse to be in Ryan’s presence. When a migraine keeps her from their upcoming meeting, Bash uses this as his opportunity to make his intentions known. The care he took with her and the way he was so intentional had me over her swooning like a fool. Ryan’s self-esteem took a major hit in her last relationship so, she’s hesitant to believe Bash is truly attracted to her. She really wanted this man but, her insecurities wouldn’t let her believe he felt the same way. I absolutely loved how Bash spoke words of affirmations and let Ryan know why not her?!!! Whew! This man's BDE was on one! I loved Yours. It was sweet, romantic, sexy AF, and the sex scenes were pearl clutching worthy. I just wish we had gotten a little more clarity on Bash being an academic. Did he use to be a professor and gave it all up to become a tattoo artist?!!! And, why wasn’t it revealed he was the artist behind the painting Ryan was so enamored with?!!! I’m almost certain these burning questions will be answered in Cravings. I’m 100% convinced Zariah’s secret boo is Gabriel. Bet!

So so so good!! A quick and fun novella about two people who finally decide to test out the simmering heat between them. The pining, the chemistry, the spice! I loved how Sebastian cared for Ryann. When she was suffering with a nasty migraine, he was there all night for her, and when she was feeling insecure, he made sure to change her perspective in the best way. Such a good novella!

Sweet and Spicy
Well despite the author saying this was a "wholesome" read, it was not that 🤣 I mean I get the thought process, but as much as this book was sweet it was also serving a whole lot of spice. I mean from the first sentence to the end the heat was evident. Sebastian aka Bash served us BDE out the gate. He was head over heels for sweet Ryann and she had no idea. They were both crushing heavy on each other and that is where the "wholesomeness," comes to play. Once they stopped beating around the bush, they were 0 to 60. Chemistry off the chain and they couldn't get enough of each other and I was here for it 🙌🏾
Reserved Ryann had been mishandled and Bash was just the man to soothe those doubts. He absolutely did not play about Ryann and that was clear. As much as I've been digging my novellas, I could've easily taken another 100 pages of them because I wanted to witness more of Bash loving sweet Ryann the way she deserved.

Anybody that knows me know, I can't stand the bestfriend to lovers or friends to lovers trope. But this book did it so well that I ate it up and it left me wanting more!
This story starts off wild with Sabastian down bad in his bed "thinking" about the girl that has been plaguing his mind, Ryann. He's done everything he can to get a chance to see her and get her attention but he wants more. He wants to know if she's feeling him the way he's feeling her. When a simple run in and a migraine turns into Bash taking care of Ryann for a night, they both quickly learn that they have something very special between them.
The spice!!!! How is it possible to get your back broken that many times in a book under 200 pages?? I don't know, but Shon made it happen and daddy Bash is a munch!! This man wanted all of Ryann. Her thoughts, her time, her love, her heart, her devotion, her lips, her throat, her thighs, and the mean arch in her back! This man put it all on the table for her and waited patiently for her to realize she was always his.

At this point, I’m reading EVERYTHING Shon puts out. She’s quickly become one of my top authors to read. I love her writing style and flow.
Now, Ryann and Sebastian were truly a sweet tooth, give me all the lovey dovey vibes that I need and more in my life right now. I love the fact that they bonded over books.
Sebastian is definitely 2023 book bae. He stepped into being not only a friend to Ryann, but a protector too. His bond and the lengths he took just to be in her presence were beyond swoon worthy and I loved all of his vibes.
Ryann was a sweetheart. I always loathe when women let past asshole partners destroy their spirits, yet I’m glad Ryann had her twin Tyler to remind her exactly who she is. Sebastian helped too. I just liked Ryann and I hope we get so much more of her in future books.
These two and this whole Kings Town series is such a great read. Cannot wait for more.

Oooo Sebastian and that mouth?! Every time he talked to Ryann, I melted. These novellas are HITTING. This one is friends to lovers/mutual pining. Bash and Ryann met at a book club. She owns a barber shop/hair salon, he is a tattoo artist. She has a migraine one day so he helps take care of her one evening. One thing leads to another and these two are finally acting on the chemistry that's existed between them for the better part of a year!

Book club powers activate! When the best part of book club isn’t the book, I am intrigued. I’ve never been a part of a co-ed club but this novel answers the what if romance leaps off the page into real life.

First of all wtf kind of ending is that?
Second, the authors note said this book is more wholesome? Is the wholesome even in the room with us?!! This book was diiirty. In all the right ways of course. I loved Bash’s mouth. I loved the way he spoke to Ryann. Telling her he’s lucky and making her tell him how lucky he is to be with her, always lifting her up in the most sensual ways. Loved him. But the ending killed it for me. The end is them having sex and he’s like tell me you’re mine and she says I’m yours and it’s literally THE END. Like wtf?? Noooo. This would have gotten more stars if not for the terrible ending. Also this book was just them basically having sex and then a few scenes in between. Was gonna read the next one but if it’s all sex as well I don’t think I’ll bother. I think because I came here from violent little thing (which I’m obsessed with)I was expecting more even from a novella. Also has the N word for those who care. Not ending in the ER and never said in an offensive way.
No cheating or real op drama between them. Not long enough for a break up. Very HFN. No declarations or anything.

If you don't mind the N-word in your contemporary dialog then this may be a book for you. The premise sounds good but to have the N-word dropped 5 times in 3 pages... is not for me. I was able to look past the opening chapter that included voyeurism and masturbation but the N-word is where I draw the line.
I did like the caretaking energy that Bash was giving off.

Bash me please!!! As someone who gets menstrual migraines I was smitten from the start cause who doesn't want a man that will take care of you! And him calling her mama did it for me. I just loved everything about him and Ryann was cool too lol.

This was my first book by Shon and I really enjoyed it. The characters were hot and very cute. The FMC gets migraines and as a chronic migraine sufferer, seeing her being taken care of instead of it being brushed off as 'just a headache' was very nice to read 🥰

This novella was perfection! I’m all for a man who just wants to love and take care of his woman, and Bash is one of them. He was so gentle with Ryann when she needed it the most.. and not so gentle when she needed too 😌
The entire novella series I binged in a couple of days and I regret absolutely nothing! I love seeing glimpses of the other couples from the previous novellas and seeing their relationship progress. Overall I enjoyed Shon’s writing and can’t wait to read more by her.
