I wanted to fall for a man. Instead, I fell for a legend...

Jax and Haley’s addictive, emotional rockstar romance trilogy is in ONE PLACE for the first time! Books 1 and 2 contain cliffhangers that build to book 3’s explosive, unmissable HEA. Immerse yourself in more than 500 pages of smoldering tension and enthralling romance that promise to leave you “dazed and a little crazed.”

GOOD GIRL (Wicked #1):

I wanted to fall for a man. Instead, I fell for a legend...

The month I wrote my first piece of code, Jax Jamieson launched his third platinum album.

The week I drank my first beer, he spent in jail.

The day I got under his skin, I wound up on his tour.

And the night he gave me his hoodie… I fell in love forever.

BAD GIRL (Wicked #2):

Rockstars don't chase college students.

But Jax Jamieson’s never followed the rules.

I thought I knew Jax's secrets. I was wrong.

When the fans go home and the lights fade to black, it's just me and him and the people we left behind.

I want to escape, until I realize...

We can do a lot in the dark.

WICKED GIRL (Wicked #3):

He was a legend, until he walked away.

I was nobody, until I was dragged into the light.

I was never supposed to be part of Wicked, but it was always part of me.

Now it's my turn to do something that matters.

Even if the man I love hates me for it.

OMG, Jax and Haley were so great. The chemistry and attraction between them was off the charts hot. I loved being able to read their story in one sitting. You are able to watch their relationship grow and experience all the ups and down they will have in each book until you hit book 3 when it all comes to a very satisfying end. You will not be disappointed when you are finished with this set, well that is actually not true, you will be disappointed because their story is over. I can’t wait to read Annie and Tyler’s story.

The ‘Wicked’ trilogy in now available in a box set. In this trilogy we follow the love story between the rock star Jax Jamieson and Haley. It’s a new adult story and it’s told in both POV’s. The stories are novella length long. I have read these 3 stories all separately in 2018 before this box came out and I enjoyed them very much.

If you’re looking for a dark rock star romance, then don’t read this. Because the ‘Wicked trilogy’ is many things but it isn’t dark. It’s sweet, funny, a little bit steamy, emotional,….. The stories are easy to read and there is no cheating in it.

Below, you can read my review on each story separately:

01 Good girl (3,5 stars)

I love reading stories about nerds or about rockstars and here you have both! So I was very looking forward to reading it.

‘Good girl’ is a light, fun, easy story to read. Which means that if you’re looking for a rock star story with lots of drama or sex in it than this isn’t the story for you but if you’re looking for a sweet, slow burn story to read than give this one a try.

Rockstar Jax Jamieson is famous. Every woman is crazy about him. Haley is no exception but where other women wants him for his hot body, Haley admires him for his songs, the words and feelings in them. Songs that helped her through some difficult times. Something that she’s Jax Jamieson very grateful for and if she would ever met him, she would tell him that. But unfortunately their first meeting isn’t a great one. No! But through circumstances, they meet again and this time they even have to spend some time together because Haley is touring with Jax and his band!
Slowly Jax and Haley are getting to know each other and both are intrigued by the other.
But life isn’t always easy and sometimes sacrifices have to be made.

I enjoyed the banter between Jax and Haley. Jax may be a few years older than Haley and have more life experience than Haley but this isn’t an issue in this story. The second characters, especially the group of friends on tour, were also very great characters. There was no bitchiness or drama and I had fun with all the ‘rules’ for when you’re on tour that Haley got from the people around her.

I’m curious about what happens in the next book ‘Bad girl’.

02 Bad girl (4,5 stars)

‘Bad girl’ is the second book in the ‘Wicked’ series and it is the follow-up of Haley and Jax’s story.

After finishing ‘Good girl’ I was really curious about what would happen next between Jax and Haley. And I can say that I wasn’t disappointed! Wow! After the slow burning pace in the first book, this story was steamy! I loved it! If I have to compare the two books I would say that ‘Good girl’ is like the intro of a melody and ‘Bad girl’ is the song that seduces your partner to dance the salsa with you!

After some time apart, Haley and Jax meet again and the chemistry is still there between them but the doubts about their feelings and their circumstances are still lingering too. But even with all the doubts in their minds, Haley and Jax can’t stay away from each other or can’t resist the chemistry between them any longer. However, Jax isn’t the only one that is wanting Haley’s attention. Haley’s father is also making demands on her time and life. The more time Haley spends with Jax and her father the more secrets she discovers. Life isn’t always easy, just when you think that you know it all, it gives you a blow that you never expected. It makes your heart bleed, by forcing you to choose between love and your conscience about what’s right.

The writer Piper Lawson took us on a ride that was filled with funny banter, steamy scenes and heartbreak. There were some surprises in it, things that I totally didn’t expect (I always like that!) and the end was also a total surprise to me! And it made me very curious for the next book ‘Wicked girl’!

03 Wicked girl (5 stars)

Haley and Jax’s story started as a slow burn romance in ‘Good girl’ and got a lot steamier in the second book (Bad girl) and the third book (Wicked girl) is just as hot!
I must confess that after the ending in the second story, I was a bit nervous to start this one but I shouldn’t have worried. Because the writer Piper Lawson gave Haley and Jax (and the readers) a wonderful ending.

After being apart for a long time, Jax and Haley meet again, not because they want to rekindle their relationship but because obligations force them to. Haley needs help with the children music program and Jax still has a contract to fulfill for Wicked. Even after all that time apart, the chemistry between them is still strong. But the past is standing between them and they aren’t the same people anymore. However, both Haley and Jax are questioning the decision that they made the past, was it the right one? But they aren’t the only ones that are changed. The power in Wicked is also changed and they want something from Jax, that he isn’t sure he can give them. The pressure is on for everyone. And what will happen when everything is done and jax returns home? Is that the end of everything?

After reading ‘Wicked girl’ I can understand why the writer decided to end the second story that way. Both, Jax and Haley needed time to mature, time to follow and finish their personal quest. One of the things that I loved in this story is that music had such a huge impact in many lives. I love the fact that Jax found his way back to music. I was also very happy to discover that there was an epilogue in this story!!! I love those. Just like in the second story, this one is a lot hotter than the first book. Of the three novellas, this one is my personal favourite.

Rock stars don’t chase college dropouts. It’s not a story worth writing.

4.5 Wickedly Good Stars!

"Box Sets" or "Complete Series" are usually a big no no for me.... why would I chance buying an entire series when I'm not sure if I will like it? I mean if by middle of book 1 I'm leaning towards the DNF pile, I wasted my money.....which I hate more than wasting my time. On the other hand, if I love it I have the entire series in one place for a discounted price. Luckily, I faced no such dilemma since this one was an ARC. I love rocker romance so I figured this would be at the very least, a decent read. Having already read & liked one of Piper's other books, the chances of me liking this were a little higher. What I didn't quite expect was a series that took the rocker sub-genre & turned it upside down. It is a journey of epicness, a journey of highs & lows.... characters I loved one minute & hated the next. It isn't just about the bright lights & fame, but what happens when that rocker has had enough & what is given up in the chase for fame.

"The month I wrote my first piece of code, Jax Jamieson launched his third platinum album. The week I drank my first beer, he spent in jail. The day I got under his skin, I wound up on his tour. And the night he gave me his hoodie… I fell in love forever."

Book Facts: Told in dual POV, this three part series is a rocker romance that takes the meaning of slow burn to the next level. The biggest rockstar on the planet & the college girl that loved him before she ever met him. The tour that brought them together, the label & man that tore them apart. Everything sacrificed for the love of the music. One man wanting to run away from his legacy while one woman runs desperately towards the legacy she wants to save. When he's brought back, will they have a second chance at an epic ending or the start of a legendary love? Includes a HFN ending, with the fourth book releasing early 2020!

Timeline of Thoughts:
Starting: I know this is going to be good, but it is SO LONG.
2%: I actually really like Haley & the entire vibe of the book so far.
12%: I love that there is a softness to Jax almost immediately where Haley is concerned. I'm rooting for them hard even though I know with 3 books this is going to be a long journey to HEA.
23%: I seriously love them....IDC that its a torturous  slow burn, its so worth it in the little moments.
29%: I can't come up with the words for how I feel right now....its been a while since I've truly been this wrapped up in a fictional couple.
30%: Poor Haley, but I hope she lets Jax explain.
32%: End of Good Girl--- girl you know closure is not what you are getting in Atlanta.
Starting Bad Girl: They better have some bedroom action in this one or I'm rioting....period.
39%: "recording the groan"---I am SO with you Haley.
49%: So. Worth. It & 100% them entirely.
56%: Am I supposed to like Grace? Because I haven't gotten to any point in this book where I have.
58%: Poor, poor Mace.
61%: This is about the ONLY issue I'm not a fan of Haley's on. For some reason where Wicked & Cross are concerned, she rubs me the wrong way.
63%: This is SO sweet, but I have a feeling Haley is going to break my heart. Which will make her go on my hate list, at least for a short time.
66%: I know I should "understand" or feel for Haley, but I really don't. Going on my hate list for the time being.
67%: I HATE how she is willing to use how he feels (or felt) about her to get what she wants.
Starting Wicked Girl: I'm sure this is going to go "her way", but I kinda hope it doesn't. Haley is on my sh*t list right now.
79%: Oh GOD! Poor Annie.... but I love her little comebacks!
81%: Oh no! I still don't like Haley though.
85%: Gawh I LOVE Jax....& although Haley hasn't 100% won me back over, I can "end" her time on my hate list.
87%: Uh oh, don't start on the grammar/typo issues....we have a good thing going & then two back to back.
88%: Gawh Todd might be my most hated character in this entire trilogy.
93%: Okay Cross, not such an a-hole as I thought.
98%: I didn't even know how much I NEEDED this meeting until now! Thank you Piper!
Finished: I was going to be slightly mad at that "open" ending, until I saw Forever Wicked coming in 2020!

"The Five"x 3:
Loves from Book: "Hales", Jerry, "Inside",  Lita, the guys of Riot Act, Serena, "his groan", the hoodie, Merry Thanksoween, Kyle's "love" for all things charity, "Hallelujah", Annie's "reasons", how Annie gets back at other kids (tampons, pictures, etc), Team Jaley/Herry, Cross' "reason"
Hates from Book (okay 11): Cross, their inability to just get "together", Nina (in quite a few parts of the book), Grace, Haley's inability to understand Jax's issue with Wicked/Cross, Haley's choice, Haley (66%-85%), Todd, Derek, the reason for her 2 calls, I REALLY hate Derek & Todd, Carter.
Quotes:
"Jax Jamieson isn’t someone you f. He’s someone you study and watch and learn from. He’s someone you worship." "Yeah, with your tongue."
-Haley & Serena

For a second, I resent the fact that Jax Jamieson is beloved the world over, because it means everyone wants a piece of him. And there’s only one of him to go around.
-Haley

“You don’t need to save my soul, Hales.” “But I like that you want to.”
-Jax

"My friend Serena says she doesn’t know how I was so strong. The thing is I wasn’t. You were. You were there for me, and you didn’t even know it."
-Haley

“I’ve got enough darkness in me to swallow the world, and enough scar tissue to bury it with. You? You’re bright. And shiny. And so damn new it’s a crime to take you out of the box.”
-Jax

“Hales. You shouldn’t be here.” “Yeah, well, a lot of things shouldn’t happen,” I inform him. “Good people shouldn’t die young. Studios shouldn’t reissue vinyl albums as cut from the master when they’re not.” I glance over my shoulder. “Kyle shouldn’t answer the door wearing nothing but underwear.”
-Jax & Haley

“Did I do something wrong? The other night, I mean.” “No. No, you didn’t do a damn thing wrong. You couldn’t if you tried.”
-Haley & Jax

This girl’s my shadow. We’re bound together by a thread that won’t let go even though we’re opposites in so many ways— she’s bright, I’m dark; she’s new, I’m jaded; she’s curious, I’m closed off. But from the second I noticed her, I can’t unsee her.
-Jax

Jax’s kiss turns hungry on a groan I want to record. Not because that sound alone would sell a million copies, but because I want there to be one copy. And I want to listen to it every night with my hand between my thighs.
-Haley

She’s innocent, but she’s not. She’s sweet, but she’s not. She’s tough, but she’s not, and… How the hell did my arm get around her waist?
-Jax

“I’m going to rip your balls off and sell them on eBay,” I mumble. “There’s my girl,” he murmurs, his lips rubbing mine and sending sparks everywhere.
-Haley & Jax

“That’s the stupid part, Jax. You cut yourself off at the knees,” he mutters. “You’re on top of the damn universe, and instead of riding the ride, you stepped off.”
-Mase

“She’s not a kid anymore,” Lita says softly. “She never was, and that’s the problem,” I reply. “The first time she set foot on tour, she was her father’s daughter. She wanted an empire. She got one.”
-Lita & Jax

“I’ve made millions with words. Every time I see you, I can’t think of a single one.”
-Jax

“Yeah. But that’s you and Jerry. Team Jaley. Wait, that could be us. Team Herry.”
-Jax

“What are you waiting for, Jax Jamieson? Rock my fucking world.”
-Haley

Final Thoughts (in "Five"x2):
1. Because this is three book complete set, I knew this would either be a very slow building romance or a romance that had tons of ups & downs (including break ups & years apart).... or possibly a little a both. This kind of thing normally irritates me, but how these two are written & their undeniable connection makes it not so hard to deal with. I love love love them!
2. I love how these two create a connection so much deeper than anything sexual or physical....its almost as if they love each other LONG before they ever touch. Its freaking magical.
3. Haley in a way is broken....her inability & discomfort with human touch was an annoying quirk at times BUT made the "touches" that much more powerful. Same with Jax, he's broken in his own ways too.... so when he sacrifices what he's wanted for her future it speaks volumes.
4. I cannot get over how masterfully written these two are together. Piper stays true to the characters she created in every single scene while giving them the room & freedom to grow. Their first time? It is seriously just as awkward & cringey as it is totally hot & sexy.
5. I love that through this book we see every aspect of being a rockstar/musician.... from the touring & God-like life to the breathing moments when its finally over, to the darkest moments (for some) when their identity (creating music) is taken away from them, to the backstabbing & everything in between. It was refreshing to see it in so many different ways instead of the common "celebrity/rockstar touring" lifestyle.
6. It makes sense how things happened & I can even understand to a certain extent the decision she makes.....however, I can't get behind ANY heroine who completely takes for granted love like she was shown. I mean the biggest rock star on the planet does things he swore off doing (ex. performing a song he hasn't in a decade, doing a "cover", etc) & literally worships you & you turn your back? Nope, Haley is not a fav....AT ALL.
7. I hated how book 2 ends with her making promises based on how she knows he feels for her. She broke his heart & stomped on it, but to save her "baby" she is willing to shove herself back into his life to get him to do something she knows he wants no part of. She's gross to me.
8. I love I got to witness the relationship between Jax & Annie. I appreciated it wasn't always easy, there for a while I felt so bad for Jax. But it felt geniune & authentic. I forgot many times this wasn't "real".
9. I REALLY HATE Todd. & Derek. But Todd a lot more.
10. I cannot wait for Forever Wicked!

"I love the shit out of you. I think it started the night you got my phone back. Or maybe when you told me I was second best to Leonard Cohen.” His dry comment has me grinning. “The point is… If you’re my cliff, I’ll take you every time without looking back."

Overall, I was hesistant to start this....I didn't have time to read & review this (especially if it was bad). I am so thankful I took the plunge bc this turned out to be one of my favs of 2019. Now to wait impatiently for Forever Wicked!

"I realized that I don’t want to do something bigger than us, Jax. I don’t want to believe there’s anything bigger than us. And we can’t have an ending, because I’m not done loving you yet."

Excellent very well written moving story
This is a great series, in which I loved the characters. The only negative point is the slow beginning. The second part (bad girl) allows the characters to be more revealing about themselves and is hotter, with a cliffhanger very well placed, which allows to resume in the last book, a two years later, with a final part full of emotion.

Great Series

This was a great rock star romance unlike many others. I appreciated that though Jax is a rock star, he was still human. There weren't flashy cars, and all that other stuff. This series focused on the life outside of Hollywood and I loved every moment of it. Jax and Haley had an extremely bumpy ride to their relationship, but it was so worth it. The story, characters, and dialogue were amazing.

Altough i do not normally go for these type of books, i got dragged into it by the narrators. Joe arden is just magic waiting to happen and then you had savannah and wow she surprised me with her wits and shannanigans. I went through these audios so fast. I liked how it evolved with her story. I could read/ listen so much more of these characters. Thank you piper for giving us such a fun loving story for us to dig in too

I am fully and totally in love with Jax & Haley!

This series is Rockstar at it’s finest! The details were spot on and made me feel like I was in the story. The writing was absolute perfection. This is a world I don’t want to leave.

Piper absolutely brought it with these stories. I’m hooked and about to dive into Forever Wicked!

It's More Than Rock 'N Roll

It was long overdue to revisit this and give it its proper due. I had high hopes of completing my re-read of the trilogy last year (2024), but life got in the way. This is for the entire series that started as a trilogy but became a tetralogy. The books need to be read in order.

There's plenty of angst to go along with the secrets and half truths as Jax Jamieson and Haley "Hales" Telfer navigate the crooked and windy path laid before them. As the story builds, so does the steam.

I read along with the audio books. The narrators, Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood, are great for their respective MCs. I really wish this had been done in duet though.

Story: 4-4.5 stars
Narration: 4 stars
Listening Speed: 1.6-1.8x

Here are my individual reviews for each book. Happy reading! 📚💋

Good Girl 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - Great Start
I'm so glad I revisited this story. Jax Jamieson and Haley Telfer are fabulous when they are together and angsty and heartbreaking when they aren't.

I shouldn’t be here. Being this restless around this girl won’t end well.

But I can’t walk away tonight.

-- Jax Jamieson

I look forward to finishing the trilogy in the coming weeks

Bad Girl 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - Gah! That ending!

Piper Lawson Wicked bk 02 Bad Girl

Jax Jamieson is swoon worthy... most of the time. He's also a very dirty talker who is smitten beyond reason with Haley "Hales" Telfer. These two can only dance around each other for so long before the barriers break. And what a lovely and hot thing they become.

This isn't as angsty as the first, but there's still plenty of drama. The revelations and reactions continue to be emotionally charged, but everything seems more... possible.

“Whoa. That’s good.”

“I’ve got some skills, Hales.” His gaze twinkles.

Haley & Jax

The pages fly by in this middle book in the trilogy (which ended up becoming a tetralogy). I like how things are going. Well, until they're not. Of course, there's a cliffhanger. Dang it!

I read along with the audio book. The narrators, Savannah Peachwood and Joe Arden, continue to deliver a good performance for these characters.

H = 29, 30s?; h = 21

Wicked Girl 🌟🌟🌟🌟 .5 - “The second chance at a first ending.”

Piper Lawson Wicked bk 3 Wicked Girl

... And we're back. When I first read this trilogy, I read straight through books 2 & 3, not breaking between books to review each separately. This time, I stopped for a few minutes, and I have to admit that this as a single book instead of a trilogy would've been preferred. My number one reason is that it reads fast and easy, and breaking it up seems unnecessary. But, hey, that's just my two cents.

I mean, I still enjoyed it regardless of the breaks. Jax Jamieson and Haley "Hales" Telfer are destined, even if the stars don't always align. I like that a couple of years have passed, and a few things did and didn't happen during that time. (Note: for some, it might upset for )

Haley Cross may have lasted two years at Wicked… But she won’t last an hour with me.
-- Jax Jamieson

My favorite part is probably when she literally left him hanging. I revisited that scene a couple of times, enjoying it more each time. 🔵🔵🤣 Seeing Annie and Jax click is probably my second favorite part. 🤗

There's a lot packed into this, but it really does pass quickly. Maybe too quickly, as I wanted more of them as a couple navigating the challenges with parenting a teenager, bypassing the craptastic leadership at Wicked, and more.

I read along with the audio book. The narrators, Savannah Peachwood and Joe Arden, continue to deliver a good performance for these characters.

Story: 4.5 stars
Narration: 4 stars
Listening Speed: 1.8x

H = 32; h = 24

Forever Wicked 🌟🌟🌟🌟 .5 - Getting to the 'I Do's'

Piper Lawson Wicked bk 04 Wicked Forever

I wanted more of them as a couple, and I got my wish. 🎉 Miscommunication, misunderstandings, and general chaos continue to be part of the fabric for Haley Telfer and Jax Jamieson, and I'm here for the ride.

During my month alone in Philly, I learned phone sex does less to resolve tension than to escalate it.
-- Haley Telfer

The bachelor party is... OMG... unexpected! 😂🤣

I really liked this super extended epilogue. It all went by quickly with plenty of laughs and other feels along the way.

There is a bonus scene, A Wicked Anniversary, that is also out there, but it's not included here. It's sweet, cute, swoony, and hot. Make sure to read it.

I borrowed the audio book. The narrators, Savannah Peachwood and Joe Arden, continue to deliver a good performance for these characters. I do wish this was in duet narration. Oh, and we also had some Rose Dioro thrown in at the end as a glimpse of what's to come for the Rivals series is included.

Story: 4.5 stars
Narration: 4 stars
Listening Speed: 1.8x

ORIGINAL REVIEW 2019:
It's soft and sweet with a little bit of heat. When Haley and Jax are together, all walls start to vanish as the world falls away. Their attraction is palpable and the supporting characters are fantastic! I'm looking forward to enjoying more of these folks as more stories unfold.

What such a great trilogy!

I didn't know I would enjoy contemporary romance so much but thanks for Piper Lawson book I'm loving it! I've devoured this three books in no time. There's easy to read and so entertaning!

Wicked story needs to be read throgh these three books because after book one you just feel that there's so much to come and that need to be told that makes you eager to keep going with book two.

These books are so good! It's reading how life goes and how we deal with the important stuff that occurs. There's so much difficulties to keep the ones we love near withouth hurting them but we keep going and that's what Haley and Jax try to do.

Jax and Haley are wildly mangnetic, they challenge each other and make them want more thing sthat they wish for. The hottest rock start that meets a smart and pretty student becomes a story about life and making decisions along the way.

Funny and daring dialogue, steamy scenes, great secondary characters, interesting and original plot make this trilogy worth reading.

The story that is Jax & Haley will grab you from the beginning. Both Good Girl and Bad Girl end on cliffhangers, so be sure to cancel all your plans!

One minute Haley is a new intern at Wicked Records and the next thing she's going on tour with Jax Jamieson. The exact same Jax Jamieson who graces her bedroom wall!

From that point on, Haley's life will never be the same. It's definitely not a smooth journey, but it's one hell of a ride. Haley maturing and evolving was one my favorite aspects of the series.

If you're looking for a rockstar romance with smart strong characters, than this is it! Haley is a strong and smart young woman who isn't going to let anything or anyone hold her back. Jax was the dream that all of a sudden is in her reality.

This was was my first Rockstar Romance series and it definitely set the bar high for my future reads!! If you love a swoon worthy rockstar romance, this one is for you!

This collection follows the story of Haley, a woman who is more comfortable with computers, and Jax, a Rockstar who is so much more than his image.

Haley has a painful past which has required that she grow up and become independent earlier than most. She is putting herself through college and needs the internship she was offered and that means not getting personally involved with Jax. Jax is a successful musician who has overcome a painful past of his own. This tour needs to be a success so staying away from Haley is crucial as the consequences if he doesn’t could end both their careers.

Their brains know what they should do but their hearts haven’t got the message which leads them on a journey filled with heat, humor and heart. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and thought the narrators did a great job at allowing the emotion of the story to flow and keep you invested until the end.

This is my first book by Piper Lawson but I’m now going to go buy every book of hers to read. I absolutely loved this book. It had the perfect amount of sexy and sweet, with a little snark thrown in.

Jax is a mega rockstar. Hayley is a broke student. They meet when she gets an internship at his label, and the sparks start. I won’t give away any spoilers but this was one of the best rockstar romances I’ve ever read. There were times I laughed out loud so hard, the dog looked at me strangely. Other times I teared up. A few times I wanted to hit someone. To me, those are the sign of a great author. I didn’t want it to end.

I cannot wait to read more in the next series. Simply amazing Piper!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

What a beautiful story! I loved this series by Piper Lawson. This book is so much more than a rocker romance. It had a great storyline, both Jax and Haley were great! Their chemistry was off the charts and I loved that I was able to experience character growth with this series. What I took away from this story is that although things might not always go according to plan the choices we make lead us down a certain path and we might not see the end result right a way but we have to trust that things will work out in the end; the way they were meant to. Both Haley and Jax had to experience this and more to come to the realization that although dreams change it is your happiness that matters above all. I would definitely recommend this series! Looking forward to your next book!!!

I was introduced to this series through a friend and I am glad she did. I loved this series. The depth of the characters, the internal turmoil of the main two characters, the wanting something you can't have the secrets that rock both of them.I was invested in the characters from the get go and literally read all three books in two days. I couldn't put it down. Looking forward to reading more by this author.

Wicked: A Rockstar Romance Series by: Piper Lawson

Get caught up in the fantasy. Wicked is the third time I've loaned my heart to Jax and Haley and I have to say, I enjoy their journey more every time. What makes this time even better is that there are no interruptions. Lawson brings everything full circle with a combined box set of hot romance. Same great story. All found in one place. It's the twists and turns that get me every time and I love every moment of it.

I have previously read and reviewed the books in this collection, I absolutely love that they are all now in one set as they did end on a cliffhanger and now because they are all together it's definitely better. I enjoyed the storyline and the characters, Jax and Haley have some serious chemistry. Highly entertaining story.

Jax and Haley are a match made in passion, the attraction between them was intense to read. I loved being able to watch their unconventional friendship develop over the three books. Nothing was plain sailing for these two. At times it felt like the universe was conspiring against them. A good story that comes to a satisfactory conclusion. Well worth a read.

Piper Lawson's Wicked series is fantastic. The chemistry between Jax and Haley is extremely well written. You don't want to miss out on these books. Once i started i couldn't stop till i had read all three. If you have already read them, it is still worth getting this boxset for the bonus scenes.

The “Wicked: A Rockstar Romance Series” is a gripping, slow burn romance that pulls you in from the beginning as you learn about Jax Jaimeson and Haley.

Good Girl:

Haley has gotten an internship with Wicked record company on Jax Jamieson’s tour. While she’s there to learn and help with all the technical parts of a concert, Jax thinks she’s been hired to babysit him. Jax has been on tour most of his adult life and is done. But we come to find out there’s more to him and why he’s still on tour.

Haley has no filter and I loved that about her. She’s never rude but she’s not afraid to voice her opinion or speak up for herself. Haley truly loves the music industry and everything that music stands for. Jax is definitely a complicated man and I’m all for that. He’s got these protective layers and I can’t wait for Haley to peel them away. Their attraction is apparent from the start and it’s a slow burn for sure. Normally I’m against these but it works for these two.

Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood did an amazing job narrating. Jax and Haley are going to be two complicated characters with what happened in their pasts and they were the perfect choices to bring them to life.

Bad Girl:

The story picks up right where it left off.I can’t say too much without giving any spoilers but Haley is still finding herself after an issue with school and being on tour with Jax. With all the secrets she’s learned about herself and from the past she was missing, it’s been an interesting time for her. Jax is still his grumpy self who is also struggling with touring, recording another album and some things from his past.

Haley and Jax’s chemistry and attraction explodes in this story. There is a small age gap but these two are so compatible that it works. I love how open and honest they are with each other. Both were a little guarded at first, with good reason, but when they realize that they can be who they are and share anything, their connection gets even stronger. The story does end on a cliffhanger, it’s a trilogy so I was expecting it. I’m starting it right away.

Wicked Girl:

What a perfect ending to their love story. Jax and Haley pulled me in from the beginning and I couldn’t get enough of their story. All the things that were set into motion from the past two books come to the forefront and we get the conclusion we needed. Haley grows so much and is a confident woman in a male dominant industry, she rocks those heels and takes names while she does it. Jax also changes but for the better. Touring made him grow but taking a break from the industry is what he needed. The last few chapters and epilogue had me smiling and wrapped up everything beautifully.

Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood were amazing as Jax and Haley. They both brought their A game to narrate this complicated but lovable duo. Joe and Savannah were the perfect choices for this story.

Excellent Reading! Highly Entertaining.

This three-book series was excellent reading and highly entertaining.

Good Girl - Book 1 -

Wonderful rock and roll romance story so far. The story is well written, flows well and is believable. The characterizations are great; the reader gets a good sense of whom each of the players are in this tale. This is a short, quick read but it still packs a punch. A gamut of emotions were experienced by this reader when encountering the happenings with the characters. Ms. Lawson ably sets the stage for part two of this series. She certainly has whetted this reader's appetite for more of the "Wicked" series. Excellent cliff hanger ending to part one.

Bad Girl - Book 2 - *****

Another winner of high entertainment value. There certainly is plenty of activity and life happenings in this tale. The story is well written and flows well; it kept this reader totally engaged to the exclusion of all else happening around them. Interesting revelation in this second works that this reader did not see coming. Really like one analogy the main female character made:
"... not rehashing every decision ... like a washing machine on spin cycle."
The reader can relate to this and this really is about the size of it. Very disappointed in the main male character's reaction to hearing what was in the will of the main female character's father. Just did not expect this of him at this juncture. However, it is still a realistic reaction with the frame of the story.

Well, blew through this tale very quickly and I must admit, "Ms. Lawson, you have cliff hangers down to a fine art!".

Time well spent! :)

Wicked Girl - Book 3 - *****

Tumultuous road to a long-term romance for the couple in this saga. This is the third book in the series and it finally culminates in the main male and female characters obtaining their happy ever after. They are older, wiser, well-seasoned and are unified enough in their love and individual goals to finally settle down together; well, as settled down as one can be with a rock star who travels months out of every year. This novel was once again well written, great story line and excellent characterizations. This reader came away from this series with much more knowledge about the inner machinations of the music industry, in particular, recording studios, contracts legal rights to ownership of original musical works. Fascinating!

I voluntarily receive an advance review copy of this novel and I am leaving an honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation to this author.

Oh, boy. First of all, I expected this to be terrible. I don't recall what in the teaser made me decide to take a chance on book 1, Good Girl, but after finishing a mediocre romance that left me annoyed and still wide awake at 10:30 at night, I saw it unread in my Kindle library. I didn't plan on staying up until 3 to finish it. A rock star and a college intern should have felt cliched and forced and there were a million opportunities for the author to do just that. Somehow she avoided the pitfalls. Instead it felt sweet and honest. Without a single sex scene (although plenty of suggestion) you felt the intensity and chemistry between Jax and Haley. All in all, it was beautiful. And I had no idea I was setting myself up for a cliffhanger.

So there I was at 3 AM purchasing the 3 book bundle.

As it pretty much always goes in these types of multi-book romances, the follow-ups never match the opening act. That said, Bad Girl and Wicked Girl were not terrible. They just felt more typical. You know, a single miscommunication and regretful choice sends the relationship and our characters reeling. And, of course, once they cross the threshold to a physical relationship, it seems like sex is all they do when alone in a room. I have absolutely no problem with steamy love scenes. And these books definitely show that the characters have a lot more in common than sex, but they also have a lot of steamy scenes that sometimes feel like they're there in order to meet a word count. Plot lines also become a little too convoluted than necessary in order to stretch the story out to three books. The timeline gets a little wonky and things don't seem to truly flow between the books.

Do I think this love story would have been better as a single novel stand alone? Maybe. The three book story arc does allow our characters to grow up and mature. Years go by in this particular one. This allows the relationship to change from the typical "we are hot for each other and fall in love in a month and live HEA" that you often see in a contemporary romance and be more that "we get our HEA when the timing is right and our life goals align." Which is more realistic, but the point of romance novels is fantasy, not reality. In order to have felt complete in one book while still maintaining all the intensity of book 1, it would have been a very long book. I was satisfied with the ending even if it felt like they took a very round about way to get there. That said, maybe 2 books would have been enough here.

Wicked: A Rockstar Romance Series
By: Piper Lawson
Narrated by: Joe Arden, Savannah Peachwood

Who doesn't remember being like Haley and pining after the rocker? Piper Lawson takes us on a wildly, wicked adventure with Haley and Jax. Three books keeping us engaged and excited. Good Girl is book 1 : When Haley gets the chance to work on Jax's tour, she jumps at it. Who wouldn't? He's good looking, broody and so untouchable, the attraction is extreme. But what she doesn't expect to find is the real Jax. People are not always are perceived, and this feel good story, tells it like it is. I love Haley, full of confidence, a little lonely and has wonderful ideas. Bad Girl, book 2 : It continues on where we left off, with Jax and Haley. I think what is so good about this is its not your typical story. So many times there is ego, and following the famous, but this story is a deeper. We get to see the Haley's past come to the forefront, and Jax's past decide a new path. It's unexpected, romantic, frustrating and oh so good. And book 3, Wicked Girl s just chock full of goodness. We get to see how Jax and Haley grow. Two years have gone by, and Haley has really matured and come into her own. Jax has found his priorities and is coming to terms with what he wants out of life. And we get to enjoy Annie! What a spitfire she is! Piper Lawson has finished this series letting us feel the satisfaction of finding their strengths and giving into their love. I was enraptured with book 1 and am so glad I got to take their journey to fruition. It's fun, frustrating, romantic, passionate and just all around an amazing listen. Plus those lyrics she comes up with!

The consistent narration of Savannah Peachwood and Joe Arden enhanced this series so much. They are perfectly cast for the characters and compliment each other. I loved Peachwood's portrayal of Haley. You can hear in her voice the changes that take place over the series, how she gains confidence and her passion for her causes. Arden as Jax has a tormented feel, which is so much his personality. I loved that he could find the sound that is Jax as he finds his path. Together they bring this series to life.

I don't read a lot of rockstar romance, but I've heard really good things about Wicked, including the raves about how it's not like most rockstar romances. I've also heard good things about Piper Lawson, so I thought this would be a good way to check out both. It doesn't hurt that I'm definitely not averse to Joe Arden's narration any time I've had the pleasure of listening. Savannah Peachwood was new to me, but her voice complements Joe Arden's very well and vice versa.
The raves were 100% right. Haley and Jax are not what I expected from a rockstar romance couple, especially Jax. He's got such a big heart right from the beginning. Even when he does act a little like the entitled star, he's still got something about him, something that made me want more and more of him. He's the type of person who remembers where he came from, who WANTS to remember where he came from, and he has a humility about him. Haley, on the other hand, rubbed me the wrong way a few times, but I think that's how it was supposed to be. I mean, we can't have two absolutely wonderful people every minute, can we? There needs to be some conflict. I did have to remind myself a few times that there was lots more story to go, and Haley was younger than Jax and still had some maturing to do. Despite that, she has a surprisingly good head on her shoulders, and she manages to hold her own against Jax as they exchange barbs, which they do pretty regularly even when they can't stay away from each other.
Honestly, I could go on and on, but I don't want to spoil it in case I'm not the only person left to enjoy this couple's journey. Suffice it to say that this trilogy is packed full of some great storytelling and more terrific lines than I could possibly include here. We get some wonderfully developed characters - some to love, some to hate, and even some we can love to hate (Nope, I'm not elaborating. You'll have to give it a listen.). That brings me to the narration, which is spot on for these characters. The combination of Piper Lawson's writing with Joe Arden's and Savannah Peachwood's narration is everything I could ask for in a great listen.

If you have not started this series yet, instead of buying the first three books separately, go for the gold and purchase the set of three books. You’ll be hooked before the first book is even over. One reason is the author has created the perfect character combination of the rock super star with the green behind the ears college student. The other reason is that the narrator combination of Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood who bring the author’s words to life. They add in that emotion that I never seem to get when I read the book myself.

Haley grows up as she journeys from book one to book two. Having the boxed set made my listening pleasure so much easier since I don’t have to do anything but continue to listen. Jax takes us on a ride through a rockstar’s life. We start to see he has a heart and something develops between them. The author has created characters that I could actually see being in the music industry. I liked that she also created a female character that made geeky seem sexy. And the reader can almost feel as if they are part of the crew that travels with the group.

By the time I got to the third book, I thought that some interesting ideas seemed to develop that I have the hope that someone has actually developed a similar program or in the very least have something in the works. There are sad moments which just adds to the realism. The sad part about this was I didn’t have more of the story to listen to and then I became happy because I found out there’s a fourth book and that I’ll get more of the Wicked story that will complete this saga.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

This is the box set of the Wicked Trilogy, I got the audiobook version, and let me tell you it's fantastic, narrated by the brilliant Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood, they both did their characters justice and portrayed them well. The story was entertaining to hear, the pacing was good the over 12-hour audiobook passed in a blur. I couldn't stop hearing it. If you love rockstars as I do, this is a must-hear.
