Quick insta-love mafia romance
Ah. The joy of reading how much a man wants a woman, so he goes to her wedding and gets rid of her new hubby as he’s eating his wedding salad, then he takes the bride for himself (and makes sure to rip the wedding dress off of her). That’s one way to leave your mark 😅.
Sophia is a virgin, and she’s expected to marry Antonio because of power. She doesn’t want to, but her father and grandfather are forcing her to. The day of her wedding, Nick unalives his competition and basically steals the bride. He doesn’t even know her name, but she’s his and will only be his for the rest of their lives.
This is obviously insta-love, but the way it’s written was well done and sorta believable 🤷🏻♀️. The chemistry’s there- their first kiss is after he basically abducts her- although it might seem like she would hate him, she definitely feels tingles for him 👀. And man… it was on the chaste side but oh so steamy 🔥. And of course, he gets to consummate his marriage to his Virgin Queen. Even though this was short, it sure packs a punch with the smexxy times 🥵.
Yes, there’s some bloodshed- I mean, this is a mafia novel, but it wasn’t overly graphic. I appreciated how Nick vindicated the wrongs done to his Queen. Although he’s a beast when it comes to the mafia world, he rolls over for his queen, and I loved that!
Overall, and enjoyable quick read.

Meh.
Short story with insta love...and I REALLY do mean instant...as in the very moment the H sees the h (after he shoots dead the h’s ‘just got married a sec ago’ husband) he’s goo goo ga ga over her....cue the eye rolls 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
We are supposed to be invested in this 5 second couple who don’t even know each other’s names....this big shot scary mafia guy (in his 30s) who is a puppy in front the sheltered naive 18 year old mafia princess. He keeps calling her queen, which frankly was annoying and probably had more to do with the fact they had just met and he probably forgot her name, rather than the ‘respect’ the book was trying to imply. And when she called him her king I just 🤮🤮🤮.
Also does it make sense the H can “pleasure” the young lady in front of his men yet has a problem of how much her naked back is showing in her wedding dress. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

Sophia is doing what mob daughters have to do.. have a arranged marriage and she hates every second but shes only doing this for her brother Marco.. hes young and she knows her family would use him against her. She gets married to a grade A jerk.. but it doesn't last long since Nick another Mafia man kills her husband making her a widower.. and shes glad but Nick wont kill his new bride nope he loves the fight she has.. now he's going to marry her and have his queen rule next to him.

Loved
I absolutely loved this story. It is everything a good mafia romance should be. It is violent and bloody, sexy and sweet. Nick is the undisputed King and no one disrespects him or those close to him. The moment he sees Sofia he knows she is going to be his Queen. While Sofia didn’t know what to expect with Nick she felt safe with him, something she had never really felt before. He shows her how a woman in their world should be treated and her walls quickly fall. These two were magnetic together, combustible, scorching hot! Nick was everything you want in an OTT Alpha man. This is definitely my favourite story by Mink so far!

No una mala lectura pero un poco suave para un libro sobre mafiosos

Mí humilde opinión:
Sophia Scalingi es una princesa de la mafia con sueños imposibles de una vida mejor con su hermano menor Marco.
Pero las mujeres de su clase solo pueden vivir una vida de venganza, sangre y traición.
Su padre y abuelo siempre tomaron las decisiones, las mujeres no importan, son moneda de cambio.
Cuando la venden para forjar una alianza con otra familia pensó que había esperanza de comenzar algo mejor pero estaba equivocada, su futuro esposo Antonio Tuscani haría su vida un infierno, lo supo.
Sin embargo, no tiene opción, debe dar el sí aunque no quiera hacerlo.
Entonces el día de su boda, matan a su nuevo esposo y cae en manos de un nuevo capo de la mafia.
Nick DaVinci es cabeza de la familia mafiosa más poderosa de la ciudad.

Primera novela que leo de MINK y...
Para ser un libro sobre la mafia, lo encontré suave, esperé algo más fuerte.
Leía escena de lucha, violencia y sangre una detrás de otra pero no me afectó nada, le faltó ponerme la piel de gallina o impresionarme, alguna reacción pero no logró nada.
Esta fue una lectura rápida y corta, demasiado corta y apresurada.
Todo acontece en un día y luego ya llegamos al prólogo.
Hubiera estado bueno que sucediera más, un enemigo o peligro real para Sophia y Nick, que pudieran haber encontrado a su madre, algo que moviera más a la historia. No me alcanzó el ataque a la casa de Nick, no parecía que estaban en peligro a pesar de que lo estaban.
Para añadir, los protagonistas cuentan sobre ellos poco y nada.
Me hubiera gustado más profundidad en los personajes y su historia de amor. Se que es un amor a primera vista pero necesité un desarrollo de sentimientos para creerlo.
Nick me gustó, la lealtad de sus hombres y a pesar de ser mafioso, me gustó cómo trató a Sophia.
No está mal pero le faltó profundidad, demasiado fantástica para mí gusto pero no puedo decir que perdí mí tiempo, lo disfruté de todas maneras.

This latest book will see our leading lady getting married twice in one day, widowed once and falling in love in seconds. When Sophia's father sells her off she has no clue as to what will unfold. She has to do what is expected, no questions asked.
When Nick arrives at the wedding to exact his revenge he had no intention of acquiring bride but one look at the innocent Sophia and he knows she is his one.
I loved this take on the mafia genre, it was different but it worked.

"His Virgin Queen" is the story of Sophia and Nick.
A tale of revenge and bloodlust, this one has MCs coming from mafia families, interwoven with romance, virginity and family drama. Tbh I would have liked this if it did not have so much violence and carnage, and totally put me off the book.

I'm so conflicted. I really like the way Mink writes these kind of short, snappy contemporaries. But like... the murderiness is a real mood killer. And this book has all the murder-- it's pretty over the top, which I'm pretty sure is the point, but still. It's hard for me to reconcile the death with the smut

This was a short quick read that I liked. Sophia grew up in a mafia family she is a mafia princess and her father sold her to forge an alliance with Antonio Tuscani a man that she loathes she doesn't want to marry him but she does to protect her brother. Nick DaVinci always gets what he wants after he kills her husband on her wedding day he looks at Sophia and knows that she is the one his Queen. This was a good mafia read with lots of action in it. I also liked Sophia's brother Marco he was willing to protect his sister. I also liked how protective Nick was of his Queen while at the wedding her father Lorenzo begins calling her name and confused to killing her mother before Nick killed him. This was my first time reading this author. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

Could have been better. I already knew it was going to be cheesy, insta love, and somewhat cringey going in, but at least entertaining. While this book was all of those, the cringey part definitely won out with how much the hero and heroine call each other "my queen" and "my king". So it could have been a higher rating, but all the pet names made me like this book less and less.

Nick was looking for revenge but what he found was a whole lot more!!! Sophia would do anything to protect her brother, even if that means marrying evil. Luckily Nick steps in, eliminates the evil and takes her for himself. But is she going from one evil to another???

La Regina Inviolata è una nuova uscita Grey Eagle pubblications un breve racconto mafia romance di Mink, autrice inedita in Italia.
Sophia Scalingi, appartiene a una famiglia mafiosa ed è ben consapevole che sarà venduta dal padre ai fini di allearsi per convenienza con un altra famiglia. Ma, non aveva previsto di sposarsi e rimanere vedova nello stesso giorno dell'odiato sposo.
Nick Davinci invece, è un temuto boss che progetta il controllo di tutte le famiglie mafiose della città, ed è disposto a tutto per riuscirci, anche a rapire Sophia ucciderne "il novello sposo" e obbligarla a sposarlo, (tutto nello stesso giorno).
Ma non ci sarà bisogno di alcuna costrizione o obbligo, vista l'immediata e forte attrazione che scoppierà tra i due protagonisti. In più, Sophia nota e apprezza la cura e la premura con cui Nick la tratta e la fa sentire protetta e rispettata, tutto il contrario di come è stata trattata da suo padre, che non le ha mai dato affetto o rispetto.
Sophia trova in Nick amore e senso di protezione, per lei e suo fratello minore, d'altra parte Nick, se ne innamora follemente di lei e la vuole accanto a sé come la sua regina.
Tutti elementi che amo in un mafia romance, ma, che devono essere ben contestualizzati e con protagonisti ben caratterizzati e approfonditi.
Invece qui ho trovato il tutto troppo precipitoso, eccessivo, per nulla approfondito e poco credibile.
Capisco che, la brevità del testo permetteva poco una trama ben intrecciata e approfondita, ma i protagonisti erano banali e incoerenti. E purtroppo ho trovato lo stile di scrittura dell'autrice elementare e scontato. Sorry!

Great read. I enjoyed every moment of this one. I had wondered what Sophia and Nick's story was after reading Marco's Girl and this was a perfect lead up to that story.

Nothing like meeting your future husband as he kills your new husband at your wedding! And we are off on a strange but steamy and fun ride. Sophia and Nick are a great couple with a few bumps to their HEA. I really enjoy the way this author builds her characters and their stories. Can’t wait for more!

I don't think I've ever met or even read about a more respectable man than Nick DaVinci. The way he treats her with reverence but never dismisses her as weaker, she's his equal. In every way. He loves her ferocity and encourages it. He doesn't let anyone, and I mean ANYONE disrespect her. Not her father, not her grandfather, not even a stupid car salesman. He puts everyone in their place and I can't say it doesn't completely put me under his spell.
The epilogue solidified it for me. His respect and admiration for her are consistent. He revels in her power, and loves her for it. This is why him and Sophia are one of my ideal couples.

This is the first book I read from this author and I really enjoyed it! It was a classic mafia romance story, on the lighter side as Nick was a sweet guy and there weren't too much violence and blood as usually.

I freaking loved this book. There is nothing better that a short and hot novella. Especially when you have an OTT antihero and adorably strong virgin heroine.

His Virgin Queen is a quick narrative about a mafia wedding to end all weddings. The pacing of the novel moves at a neck-breaking speed and the writing keeps the reader consistently turning the pages. The smut in this book is next-level, and I am so sad that there will be no other books in this world.
