For once, things seem calm for Fel Masker and his family. But the dark schemes of a shadowy mastermind are ready to hatch. Ancient foes are on the move in the Greater Lands. Uncovered secrets cast doubt on a long-trusted adviser. Hidden threats lurk beneath the cities of the world. Forgotten armies rise to march again. The Maskers will need to travel to the four corners of the world to keep from tumbling into ruin. It will take every trick Fel has learned and every friend he has made to push back the rising tide of a bygone era.
This author never disappoints, Joseph Lallo wrote another page turner adventure story. As more of a history full of contraptions is explained the more surprises are exposed. Friends gather together to spot a huge threat and unexpected heroes rush to offer aid. I highly recommend this book.
I was sad when it ended; on a high note though. I’d like to have spent more time in the Greater Lands, or even the Lesser Greater Lands, The story wrapped up quickly. Spending more time with the adventurers and friends would be nice. I liked the descriptions of the places even though I had a tough time visualizing them, I felt like I was there with the characters. More adventures would be nice, maybe a new book in an adjacent land, or link up with the timeline of another series? Good stuff I hope to read more from the Author.
Well he finally won the game loved the lesser unicorn and the characters. I was hoping for more dragons but there was some in the series so it was a good read.
