This inspirational adventure, which started as a dream and took many years to prepare, places the reader, both neophyte and experienced, closer to the culture of this mysterious country.Author biographyBorn in 1969 in the city of Córdoba, Argentina, Jorge Orpianesi has practiced Karate Do since 1982, Kobudo since 1986, Aikido since 1997, and Iaido since 2008. He is an adept of all Martial Arts and the philosophies in which they are rooted.In line with this, he has participated in numerous congresses and seminars of the most varied combat disciplines. He has worked as a teacher since 1989. In 2013, he was part of the Argentine delegation that participated in the 1st Okinawa Traditional Karate and Kobudo Worldwide Seminar, in Okinawa (Japan), where he had the opportunity to learn from the greatest masters in the world. His competition career spanned between 1988 and 1996. He was a Kata team captain and served as a judge and referee in sports karate. During 1991 and 1992, he worked promoting Martial Arts through a short radio program. He wrote articles in specialized magazines and is currently a columnist for the American magazine Bugeisha, one of the most important in the world on the martial traditions of the East. In 2019 and after thorough planning, he made his biggest dream come he traveled throughout Japan in search of the most transcendental sites in the history of the samurai. This trip was captured on his Facebook page “La Ruta del Samurái, Japón para Budokasby Jorge Orpianesi” and finally, in the pages of this book.
