Very sweet introduction about the author's mother. Food photography has that overly-saturated, orange, greasy look to them. Several recipes don't have a photo, and many have very fancy ingredients (such as a berry found in Cape Cod). For me, those are automatic skips.
I flagged a round ten recipes that looked good. Will update once I try some recipes.
