Learning he might be incapable of fathering children turns hotshot sportswriter Kevin O'Brien's world upside down. The news is bad enough, but the impact on his relationship with Dr. Leah Cordero…? Well, it's best if he exits right now before he really wants what he can't have.
So imagine his surprise months later when Leah appears on his doorstep with a baby— his baby. Once his shock subsides, Kevin insists on being a part of his daughter's life. The best way to do that? Move her and Leah into his house. It doesn't take long for him to fall head over heels for his little girl and remember everything he loves about her mother. Now he has to show Leah they can become a forever family.

I liked it! It was cute! We've all read this story a gazillion times but this is a fun little rendition of it. The ending gets iffy, but the epilogue was adorable enough to pull it up!

Do contrário.
This book was very enjoyable. I liked that the characters knew one another, and had an actual relationship—they had held conversations, had shared with one another, had spent time together. And though they were both stupid at various times, it seemed realistic. It was realistic that Kevin, who had built up so many walls around himself, even against his family, would push Leah away when he learned of his sickness. And it made sense that Leah would be wary of Kevin after he broke up with her like a royal jackass. The last half star is lost because it was very shitty of Leah to have kept Carly from Kevin for so long—and for her to have even contemplated never telling him about his daughter. And Kevin forgives her very quickly for that, too, which didn't seem quite realistic.
Best book in the series, after reading so much about Kevin in the previous books it was great actually reading his story. I also liked that there was some medical drama and that Leigh was a doctor. Carly just synched it for me since I love the name and observing the Parents' interaction with the baby.
A sportswriter dumps his pediatrician girlfriend because his aplastic anemia may kill him and the treatment will probably leave him infertile. Yet a year later, she shows up...with his secret baby! Adventures in diaper-changing ensue, and we all know how romantic that is. Cute.
