Ya dije que amo a Usui...??? Me encanto cuando partiicparon en le juego de la pareja y al final en el salon vestidos de romeo y julieta me gusto mucho que misaki se relajara un poco y le confesara a usui que no le hes tan indiferente como hace pensar...!!

March 2014: 5 DAZZLING STARS
Oh my. Oh dear me, oh my! Finally, the moment has come in which the stars are aligned and OH MY GOODNESS MY OTP IS FINALLY A THING!
"Wow, as if that doesn't give anything away..."
Technically, it doesn't. You don't know *for certain* who my OTP is, now do you?

Oh, what do you know? *peers at a speck in the distance* Well, look at that! There are spoilers ahead!
READ AT YOUR OWN RISK
The volume starts off light-heartedly enough, until Misaki decides to share her secret with Shintani. I'm proud of her for having had the guts to live with her choices, no matter the consequences. Honoka-chan is a little vicious, though...
AT LAST, we get to the festival! Oh, how I loved this part in the anime! I ABSOLUTELY ADORE how true to their characters Usui and Misaki's behaviour is. Of course they can't go through the trial like a normal couple! Of course they are both fearsome and awesome! IT'S WHO THEY ARE!!
But I do have this to say: as happy as I am that Misaki has finally accepted that she likes Usui, it felt a little... too soon for me. WEIRD, I KNOW. Just like everyone else, I wanted them to get together already, but at the same time, I feel like they could have drawn it out a little longer (I feel like this is coming off as somewhat masochistic..).
I guess when I compare Usui and Misaki to Kazehaya and Sawako (Kimi ni Todoke), it feels rushed. But one also has to bring into consideration the fact that Usui is a perverted alien, whereas Kazehaya is sweetly chaste around Sawako. BUT ANYWAY, my point is that I think it would have been a little more natural to Misaki's character if they'd held back for at least a couple more volumes. YES, I understand and totally agree that the love trial was the perfect way to bring them together, but.. that's kinda what it felt like: a plot, a tool, to force Misaki closer to Usui. I'm not saying she was against it, and she did fight the events around her well, and her breakdown was totally believable, but at the same time, it didn't feel like... her. Not completely something she'd do, ya know?
But I digress. This volume was perfect and I can't wait to see where Usui and Misaki are in their relationship next, especially since I think they reworked some of the chapters in the anime adaptation to that the festival came last. But anyway.
Let's see where volume 8 takes Usui and Misaki!

Another awesome installment to the Maid Sama series! I love this manga so much that I finished both the 7th and 8th volume so I will have two reviews up today! It was so much fun to read, (as the usual), I can't wait to read more! So much has happened and I can't wait to read more about these characters and where they will be in the future.
That's exactly the way it should be. Doing only unexpected things, otherwise, I'll lose my reputation as a perverted outer-space human.
This series is about a girl named Misaki who is Seika High's school president. Her school is filled with a bunch of guys and she hopes to bring more girls into her school. She works at a maid cafe in secret because her family isn't doing too well financially. But one day, the most popular guy from her school finds out this secret and is suddenly interested in her. Both of these characters go through a lot and learn to slowly open up to each other.
This is hilarious, I laughed so much through out this volume. Shintani is the best and it is funny to see Usui jealous. I love seeing these to fight and are secretly jealous of each other. The things that Usui says to Misaki is hilarious! He is so straight forward and sometimes he does things that make me laugh so hard. I love his character so much, he is just too good to be true! :) Misaki is another amazing character. She is always there to support her friends and I love that. She is still the same girl, but she is more open now.
The character development is progressing really well in this series. It makes sense to have it slowly develop because of how the characters are. When I see the characters grow, it makes me think that I am so old! I felt like there were so many swoon-worthy moments in this volume, I was squealing so much!
I highly recommend this to anyone who hasn't read any manga yet, this is an amazing read. If you have read manga and want a fast, funny read with a lot of romance, I highly recommend this. If you watched the anime and want more of these characters, you should definitely read this manga series.

No puedo creer que alcance el tomo en que termina el anime. Este tomo me hizo sentir muy feliz, nostálgica y emocionada porque a partir de ahora lo que sigue en la historia será nuevo para mi y no puedo estar mas eufórica por iniciar el siguiente pronto. Como siempre lo ame todo, el desarrollo de la relación de Misaki y Usui, Misaki aceptando sus sentimientos y las escenas divertidas de los distintos personajes

Seriously, I LOVE that despite her hesitance, despite her anxiety, and lack of experience, Misaki understands her own feelings and she's finally taken the leap!! I'm in tears, I'm so happy! The festival, the fortune, the "What? Are you gonna leave because of something like this?" Ma'am!!? And the event, the hand-holding, the necklace, Usui seeing right through Misaki as he always does and making everything a competition so she wouldn't feel weird, even though he wants it to be something more, the winning, the balloon popping, the realization! From that jerkface singer of all people! And then the suggestion and retreat.
The crossing of boundaries, the sudden fear, the dead pause, the confession, the loud proclamation, THE KISS!!! With fireworks in the background. Ugh! Poetic cinema!
I am melting and I'm not even ashamed to admit if there was anything beside the festival in this volume, I don't remember it.
