With these fabulous crochet patterns, you can customize more than 30 stand-out garments for your baby or toddler. Doll up your daughter in a colorful granny-square hooded coat, dress up your little dude in classic argyle, and add pizzazz to baby’s wardrobe with stylish textures, hues, and silhouettes. From basic blankets to more advanced clothing, every project includes full color photography and simple charts and instructions.
I think it's very difficult to make crochet garments that don't look lumpy and thick and are still modern. Some garments in this book don't meet that standard but there are many that are incredibly cute. The Spice Girl jacket (p 30) embraces the granny square and makes me wish there was an adult version. There are several kid garments like that here! Photography is well done, particularly for little ones. There are schematics for garment shapes and some schematics for color patterning but no stitch charts but the stitch patterning and granny squares are fairly simple. There are no little ones in my life right now but this would be a reference for when there are.
There are two adorable dress patterns with cute details I like in this book. There are a variety of sweaters and cardigans as well. It also has the ugliest sweater vest I’ve ever seen.
This is with perusing for the ideas of what not to do and for those two dresses.
