I accidentally spent the night with the head of the Bratva. And now I’m pregnant. After the worst week of my life, I let off some steam with a much older stranger. Little did I know that I’d be staring at two stripes on a pregnancy test. Little did I know that his next step is to force me to marry him.
He says he needs an heir, and I’m carrying it. He says he’ll claim me as his mafia bride even though I don’t want to. The Bratva doesn’t accept no. The Bratva takes what it wants. And so the next thing I know, he’s got me blindfolded in the back of a van.
His fingers on my voluptuous curves make me forget that I don’t want to marry him. His kiss on my bruised lips makes me forget that I was trying to escape. He has taken all I have but given me a pregnant belly. Will his ruthless hands break me for good?
Or will they heal my most vulnerable of places?
The Russian Bratva of Miami has three rules: solve problems with violence, paint the streets with blood, and break hearts at will. They’re not nice, they’re not gentle, and they don’t compromise. But behind closed doors, they’ll show you what ruthless love really means.
Great, quick read. Solid plot for a shorter story. Enjoyed the romance. I was in the mood for a pregnancy romance. I will definitely be checking out the authors other works.
Not exactly poorly written but not well written either. Overall, it was fine, but I’m not running to read the rest of this series.
Reina grasping at any scrap of Ivan’s affection, even when he treated her poorly, was like nails on a chalk board for me. Also, did I miss it, or did we never actually identify the traitor?
❥ 𝑹𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒂 She was kinda naive and didn’t stand up for herself. Although I liked her.
❥ 𝑰𝒗𝒂𝒏 I feel like he has no characteristics at all, besides being a mafia boss. He only spends time with Reina to have s*x with her… that‘s sad.
✥ 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌 I liked that this one was a short one. The story was enjoyable but the character building and storyline lacked. There were some plot holes and the characters seem unlikable and flat. If you want to read a short, cliché mafia story, that one is for you.
I have to say that the plot of this book had promise! But I could not finish it. Ivan’s character was downright unbelievable, but it was Reina that made this book so horrible. She started out as a booking agent for a modeling company, but her character never developed. Her responses and thought processes made her seem slow or cognitively delayed, and her character seemed to regress as the story went on. My time was wasted reading this book that I DNF.
I’ve read lots of bad writing lately and this was slightly better. I feel like it left out key scenes to be quicker and ending was rushed and he was a dick. Their problems weren’t that big a deal
Since the official synopsis is missing, I'm quoting it below for other potential readers:
"I accidentally spent the night with the head of the Bratva. And now I’m pregnant. After the worst week of my life, I let off some steam with a much older stranger. This is the first book of the author's that I've read & I would at least like to continue reading the rest of the books in the series as well. This doesn't end in a cliffhanger & I assume the following books will follow the other Morozov brothers.. Although it's a kidnapping forced mafia marriage book, it doesn't really cross the extremes. There is some typical power struggle conflict but nothing too complicated or brutal. This is a good mafia book is you aren't looking for something too dark that can be read within hours.
Reina, the FL, has unjustly been let go from her job & decides to have a night out to feel better. She meets Ivan, the ML, & their strong attraction ends with them spending the night together. Reina's fear of them being from two different worlds & she doesn't know he's part of the Bratva yet leads her to sneak away in the morning. When Reina learns that she's pregnant, she tells Ivan but once she learns that he's head of the Bratva she runs away. Of course he finds her easily & forces her to marry him & stay with him.
Although Reina thinks about running away, she's also a practical thinker & won't put others, including herself, at risk. Her communication with her friend is monitored & she isn't allowed to go out by herself but she's not treated badly. Those reasons & her attraction towards Ivan are why it's easy for her to accept her situation, though that's not to say that she's happy with it. However, as the story goes on, it's clear that Reina can handle being with the head of the Bratva.
From their first meeting, Ivan had feelings for Reina so he is quite happy with the unexpected pregnancy. Because of his position, he doesn't want to show those feelings & make her target. Don't worry he's not cruel towards her & the worst he does is act like she's only a guest in his house rather than his wife,Although he pretends not to care about her in front of others in order to protect her, he does his best to show he cares in private. When he says that he will give her what she wants, he proves it.
As I mentioned, there is a power struggle between his & another family, but it's not difficult to follow & doesn't overwhelm the romance between the leads. Aside from kidnapping her, there is not much conflict between them either. So, if you enjoy darker & more cruel kidnapping forced mafia marriage stories, then you'll be left wanting more. But, if you're fine without those things, then this book is worth a try.
Book Review: Morozov Bratva ‼️This is not a review of the first book specifically, but of the entire series and which books in it are worth reading.‼️
My honest opinion: A great start that turned into a repetitive disappointment. The first 6 books were actually quite promising and I really enjoyed them. However, after that, the series became 90% predictable and honestly, quite boring. I’m so disappointed because I really wanted to love this. 😤 After book 6, the stories feel like a "copy-paste." It’s always the same cycle: kidnapping and pregnancy. There’s nothing wrong with these tropes, but I expected at least some action or tension. Instead, the female leads have almost no spine. If you get kidnapped, you are expected to fight back with everything you have, not just scream for a minute and then suddenly fall in love with the guy. I really wanted to see stronger women who stand up for themselves and their freedom. It’s frustrating to watch them throw themselves into the hero's arms just because he did one "nice" thing. I mean I expect them to fall in love but maybe after some time. Take Book 10 as an example (Spoilers ahead): The hero kidnaps her twice. He uses her as a human shield and shoots at her own brother, yet they end up being intimate an hour later? It makes no sense. Then she finds out she is pregnant and that he’s Mafia through a simple internet search (how is that even possible in a "dark" underworld?) and instead of running away, she goes looking for him. Where is the survival instinct? For God’s sake he is criminal😩🤦🏼♀️ After she tell him that she is pregnant, he wants to get married.Of course she said no and hi kidnaps her on his yacht. The worst part was when she kept apologizing to him for being angry. Why are you apologizing? You are his prisoner! Later he brings her dog to the yacht because she misses it a lot (which she only needed because he took her), and suddenly after this one kind gesture she thinks he’s "sweet" and wants to marry him? 🤦🏼♀️ I have many more comments for the others books but I'm going to stop here. I’ve made it to Book 11 out of 15, but I’m officially giving up. 🏳️🏳️🏳️ I gave this series so many chances, hoping it would get better, but it’s just not happening. I think the author has potential, but this specific series has become a parody of itself. My verdict: Read the first 6 books and stop there. ❤️
Sweet story with just enough danger and excitement!
This was kind of a sweet Bratva story. "Sweet" because instead of the typical bully kind of Bratva MMC, this one is smitten from the beginning and will do anything to make her happy...all the dark comes from outside sources, not the MMC. "Kind of" because he does have issues with showing his feeling for her in front of others, including keeping their marriage and her pregnancy secret fearing they'll use her to get to him; so he's hot when they're alone, but cold in front of anyone else, which confuses her.
The dark that comes from outside sources (rivals) include attacks when he's out with her, a break-in, a kidnapping, and threats/attempts on their lives. It's just enough danger and excitement to keep this one from being overly sweet.
The only thing weird for me, and this is a personal thing...is that he calls her "my queen" A LOT...his pet name for her. That just sounds a little phony and weird to me...but then her name is Reina, which means queen so.....
And in truth, although this girl first ran when she realized who he was (she's not connected after all), she becomes a B. A. before this story is over....truly a queen to his king.
This was a quick easy read! A little sweeter than I expected, but still nice. Probably another good "sorbet" read lol! And for those who aren't familiar, a sorbet book is one that cleanses the mind and heart after a particularly angsty or mind blowing book. 4.5 stars for this one.
Great start to the series Truly enjoyed Ivan and Reina's love at first sight love story. Ivan was a Bratva of his family. Reina went out to his club one night after being fired. They both connected the sparks were flying strong and the fun begins. A lot of adventure and suspense keeping you on your toes. Finding out she's pregnant with this child and protective instincts kicked in. Strong family bond with his brothers and cousins. Lots of laughter throughout. So many emotions are felt love pain fear joy passion. Never a dull moment when someone's after your territory. Enjoyed how everything came together. They fell in love, and for the time being, danger was knot knocking. Look forward to the next Morozov adventure.
I lost my job today, so I am going to a club to let off some steam.
This gorgeous man is at the club watching me. He send another man over to me he wants to talk. I tell that man if he wants to talk to come over here himself. And he does. Six weeks later I find out I am pregnant. My friend tells me I should let him know he is going to be a father. When I tell him, he said he needs heir. I don’t want to marry him. But he is not taking no for my answer. I enjoyed this book, I loved how Ivan treats his wife when no one is around to see them. For her and the baby’s safety. He really loves her. Now if she could just tell him, she loves him too.
Writing as the Boss, Working at one of my legal clubs trying to calm down, after I caught one of my barmen myself selling drugs, then dealing with it, my brother and I went up to the balcony overlooking the dance floor, I needed to calm down, a female caught my eye, more than once, I sent my brother to ask her to come up to the balcony and join me, when brother came back without her and with a message, chuckling, I quickly went down to the dance floor myself, everything changed from that moment for her and me. Loved the book, look forward to book two.
This story was overall an ok read, if I'm being 100% honest it wasn't something I felt hooked on, not bashing it but it felt more like a short story I'd find on wattpad, the flow of the book wasn't the smoothest and there was a lot of nit pics I could say about both the main characters and a few of the other side ones too. Maybe they were just lacking the depth and build up I usually like to see from Characters? There just wasn't real substance to the book for me. Appreciate the authors efforts though and I'm sure there are others who will love it regardless of my own opinion.
You want to see a weak FMC, Reina is a perfect example. I enjoy kidnap romances, mafia romances, dark romances. But I do not enjoy doormat main characters. Reina has no spine. Ivan treats her like crap and she still fawns all over him. There is a point where she talks about how he makes her feel trashy, and she is angry with him but she can’t bring herself to do anything but fall in his arms when she sees him. Cue the biggest eye roll ever. I read half. Skimmed the rest to see if she would ever grow a backbone. She doesn’t. I highly doubt I will continue the series. If the other FMCs are anything like this one, they won’t be worth my time.
I did actually enjoy this book but I just found some details lacking. The storyline, characters and action were all good to read. The only issue I have is the detail and the description of the love scenes. Sometimes I would get confused because they would start kissing and then all the sudden it was almost finished. The book could've been alot better with alot more detail in all of these scenes. Especially that there was reference in nearly every Chapter about wanting each other.
This was book 1 in the "Morozov Bratva" series. This was a short quick read that I liked. Raina gets fired from her job and decides to go out to a club to cheer herself up. She looks up and her eyes connect with a hot guy in the VIP section who’s looking right at her. They end up in bed and she sneaks out in the morning before he wakes up. Turns out she didn't leave alone and when Ivan finds out he will force her to marry him. Ivan is a mafia don, and she is carrying his heir, and his enemies are watching. So, he kidnaps her and forces her to marry him so she would be claimed. I liked both of these characters. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this sries.
It’s something this story for Reina. She is a sweetheart and a bit naive but this is a story. Reina moved her life away because her father was killed. She had done everything right but her father’s case had gone cold. Reina tries to keep busy at a job, but even that job crumbles. Hey friend Lynn convinces Reina to go out. Reina catches a eye of a handsome and golden guy Ivan. She goes home with him and sparks fly. Read On!
I enjoyed reading this one. A fun night with a rich “golden god” (Ivan) club owner leaves Reina with a little surprise. When she goes to tell Ivan the news she finds out he is Russian Bratva and owns half of the city so she goes on the run. Of course she get caught and married and kept at Ivan’s mansion. Things are heating up with a family intruding on their turf and things get dangerous.
