Gwen Compton is tired of playing it safe. For months she's thrown all her energy into turning an old haunted house into a bed-and-breakfast. Now it's Halloween. The inn is ready...and so is Gwen! New York Times Bestselling author, Leslie Kelly writes sexy romances and dark romantic thrillers. A four-time RWA RITA Award nominee, eleven-time Romantic Times Award nominee and 2006 RT Award winner, Leslie has become known for her delightful characters, sparkling dialogue, and outrageous humor in her romances, and for the dark grittiness of her thrillers. Since the publication of her first book in 1999, Leslie has gone on to pen more than forty sassy, sexy romances for Harlequin Temptation, Blaze, and HQN.
In 2009, Leslie began tapping into her love for dark suspense by penning several books under the pseudonym Leslie Parrish. The Black CATs and Extrasensory Agents series quickly put Leslie on the must-read list of romantic-suspense fans.
Tired of writing under various names, Leslie decided to go into her next genre--futuristic thrillers with a suspense element--under her real name. She released her dark, gritty Veronica Sloan books, and reissued the Black CATs series, as Leslie A. Kelly.
Leslie lives in Denver with her husband Bruce--her real-life romance hero. Visit her online at lesliekelly.com (for her sexy romances) or at leslieAkelly.com (for her romantic suspense.)
Trick Me Treat Me was a cute Halloween-y book! It has a mixture of suspense and romance which is always fun! Gwen is an innkeeper just getting ready to turn in for the night when a handsome mysterious man arrives at her Inn claiming to be a secret agent. Jared is playing a game, per the Halloween invitation for her cousins party which was LAST year, unbeknownst to him! Oh my gosh, the mixups were funny and the romance very steamy. There was ghosts, and a sharp witted Aunt Hildy as well, all adding to the charm of the story at this gangster themed bed and breakfast Inn. Happy Reading!
Some of the events in this book are pretty ridiculous, such as , but Jared and Gwen are cute together and her aunt is a riot. may have come out of nowhere, but I really liked it.
Okay! so why I read this, again???? Urrgh! I have no idea. The story line is stupid. Wait i am not against the ghost in love stories but seriously!!! The hero heroine were idiots, completely. It was a complete waste of time. i even have to skip pages after pages when it get too boring and i am not that kind to skip a word in a book even if i don't like it much.
So I gave this book five stars because it's going in my keep pile. Most books I read once then I'm done with it but there are some that I love enough to keep because I know I'll want to go back and re-read them, well this is one of them. The characters were fun and quirky, the romance and plot held my attention, all and all this is just a great little Halloween read.
https://labibliotecadellibraio.blogsp...
