Rate this book
You're the ultimate fighting machine. A predator-for-hire in the savage urban world of Shadowrun. You've devoted your life to honing your combat and martial skills. The tools of your trade are airfoil grenades, form-fitting body armor, and an Ares Crusader machine-pistol. An expansion for Shadowrun, the Street Samurai Catalog will let you outfit yourself with the latest equipment available on the black market: retractable hand razors, ultrasonic sights, enhanced reflexes, and maybe a rangefinder for your cybereyes. Whatever you need to get the job done, you can find it here, but it won't be cheap. And remember to watch your back before someone decides to make you yesterday's news.

Classic Gun Porn

Well, I'm killing a bit of time before I get kicked out of the hotel I am staying at and then have to meander back to Sydney Airport to catch a plane back to Melbourne, so I might put up a couple of more reviews. Mind you, I could also continue writing my post modern piece of rubbish, since it is set in Sydney, but then again, just because I am in Sydney does not mean I have to write a story set in Sydney. Anyway, I prefer to do it back home where I can be a bit more in the zone.

I wonder if I could actually put this down as a book that you read because, well, as the name says, it is a catalogue. You know those catalogues that you get from Amway, or even the endless reams of junk mail that land up in your letter box? Well, this is what this book is like, and, well, if I listed every piece of junk mail that I have read up on Goodreads it would simply clog up my bookshelves. Actually, I don't read junk mail, I just assist in moving them from the letter box to the bin. Mind you, I could save all that hassle by putting a 'no junk mail' sign on the letter box, but I would then need the Landlord's permission.

As I said, this is a catalogue, and to be more precise, it is a catalogue of weapons. I think it also contained cyberware as well, but since I do not have it on hand (I think I still own a copy) I cannot say for sure. However, this was the first book that was released after the original Shadowrun rules, which I found a little funny because it is, well, little more than gun porn. What is gun porn do you ask? Well, simply put, this is gun porn:

Or were you thinking this when I said gun porn?

Or this?

Anyway, this is just a catalogues of guns, and since it does not take all that long to read, which includes actually reading the words that are in the book (and there are more words than just the title in this book – and yes, there is more than just the names of the guns as well) then I thought I would put it up for completeness. Anyway, it also gives me an excuse to use pictures of women holding guns.
