The World is a Mirror

Rate this book
"What if I told you that everything you see in front of you is nothing more than an illusion, a mirage, a hologram that YOU are creating, that this is nothing more than your own hallucination?' Just like your dream at night, the people you are dreaming of, the sky, the trees, everything is being projected, every second, from your own consciousness, exactly like a light projector on a blank wall, but yet, it seems so real and separate from you, until one day, you realize was nothing but a hallucination, an awakened dream."

Let’s rather call it a game . So, you decided to play this game of limitation, you decided to forget all your power, your godhood, your unlimited potential, tie your hands and put yourself in a labyrinth, hide some clues here and there and most importantly, forget everything. Forget your true nature, and even forget that you are playing a game. Gamble at its finest. The question is, will you end up remembering?"

DESPERATELY wanted to DNF this, but had to give the author a chance. alas, this was atrocious.

1. self-publishers should still use an editor. borderline unintelligible.

2. “if you buy something expensive, don’t worry about having enough money. just believe you will have enough money and you will.” this is str8 up irresponsible to write. manifestation is nothing without action.

3. additionally, any author that claims “i’ve read every book on this topic” or “if you apply my guide to life, you will get anything you want” immediately loses all credibility in my eyes.

just read the kybalion and the power of now.

i enjoyed this book, but i think it has a few flaws.
i liked how it emphasizes visualizing the life you want, but it didn’t feel as spiritual as i expected. the author rejects detachment and goes against the idea of impermanence, which is an important spiritual and factual concept. holding onto desires and expectations can lead to disappointment. combining the law of attraction with an understanding of change can help create the life you want while being mindful that things can fluctuate at any given time.
another issue is the lack of focus on action. the book talks a lot about visualization and connecting with your higher self but doesn’t really explain the steps needed to achieve your goals. sure, we have total control over every situation, but how are we going to make sure we get to that point? there is no plan without action.
my biggest problem, however, is the book’s energy, which feels ego-driven rather than hedonistic. the author quite literally tells the reader to master manipulation energy and using others as actors and puppets, which is extremely damaging. i was constantly thinking to myself, “is this not how a textbook psychopath thinks?” this mindset ignores the importance of seeing people as souls. with this mentality, you fail to understand how to be a caring, nurturing, loving person to others. the law of conservation of energy highlights the idea that energy is not created or destroyed, meaning that not only is this manipulative energy you've been told to master being absorbed from the universe, it is also being exuded out of you, making your efforts meaningless. manifestation is a powerful tool, but it’s not just a loose saying that with power comes responsibility.
despite its flaws, the book has some good points that just needed more elaboration. for example, i agree that people reflect your inner state and that fear is just faith in negative outcomes. there are many quotes like these that resonated with me, which is why i finished it. i also tried my best to practice some of her teachings, more specifically changing a negative thought into a positive one, removing any negative outcome from my realm of possibility. All in all, the author had the right idea but the wrong execution.
i think another person’s review could have strengthened the book by refining its ideas and improving its overall message. the author had potential, but a lot was lost in translation.

The author made really good points and I highlighted a lot that I will look back on and has reminders I use everyday. I liked that it was very straight to point and concise. Like most types of books like this some of the statements are little ~crazy~ and simply not realistic. There are some grammatical errors but I don’t care about that to be honest my book would have them too. I would’ve liked some success stories just to spice it up. I also read through every question at the end and the responses were all basically the same just worded differently.

Should be called ‘the hand book for narcissists’

The grammar? Awful. Did it pretty much say don’t think about how much money you currently have when being financially irresponsible, think about how much money you willlll have? Yes. This book was so fkn dumb. Actually such silly advice in this.

Nothing special, nothing new. Just imagine and cry as you're acting in a movie. Imagine imagine imagine and jump in a bed because you've just received imaginary money and you can go and buy expensive clothes, as if this is the point of all life. No matter how many books we read, don't tell us in what to believe in!! This power is ourss!!
Dind`t learn anything from here, just spend over 35 dollars for a 150 pages palm size book where 80 pages are actually written and the rest of them are empty notebook-style pages meant to be filled by you. :O

just keep dreaming and imagining. act like those 35 dollars will come back to you super soon. still waiting for the book to teach us HOW TO ACT.

Look I loved it.

As someone who is been practicing manifesting for years now, this book really emphasizes the hang of it. I think when people are not necessarily familiar with the entire process, it may seem weird or bad but in reality it’s what’s needed.

It’s truly all about the mindset. Everything you have in your brain, you are going to see on the outside. So no matter how arrogant that mindset may have to be to exert that energy, it’s needed at some points. But not all of its arrogant, it’s the confidence and the positivity that really shine through.

The book had many interesting ideas, and it made me think a lot about how my inner world affects my life. The main idea—how life reflects what is inside us—felt very true for me. The writing was simple and easy to follow, and I liked that. Some parts were very inspiring, and I kept highlighting sentences that I want to remember. The advice is helpful, and I am trying to use it in my daily life.

It's like 30% blank pages for notes and the text is big. The content is there but it's not a lot. It also references non-duality without name, yet focuses on changing thoughts and feelings which is only important if we're identified with our ego. I don't think my automatic thoughts and feelings are that important so the practical advice was not that useful but I did like the theory part.

I got exactly what I needed from this book. This book is very masculine in approach with very little empathy of do this and this and this will work. Manifestation like this is masculine and not feminine as the feminine energy is intuition.
Glad I read it and if anything it did enable a huge quantum jump in me and brought me into union.

3.5 stars. Not really anything new I didn’t know before, but there were a few passages I highlighted that I will be returning to. A fine guide but desperately needed another round of editing.

Nice book with correct principles, but nothing new. I bought it after reading the good feedback; for 20€, a book this short, is not up to my expectations.

Just a summery of manifesting, easy read. I would give it 3 star, but because I had a realisation about something that benefits me personally, I gave it 4
