I find it difficult to rate this book as it's very repetitive and not super well written. But the research and photos are amazing. Tom's life is unparalleled and I am glad to have discovered him through reading a graphic novel. As a fellow Wisconsinite, I look forward to visiting Tom's home of Ashland and basking in the natural environment that he so loved.

Got this book on loan from the Washburn, WI public library. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Tom was my inspiration in shaping my first surfboard (a hollow wood paddle board). A dozen boards later, Walk On Water Surfboards LLC was born. I must find a copy of this book to add to my shelves. I do not look forward to returning it, as it has become a bedtime favorite. Full of the classic surf stories and historical photos of the great early wave riders. To Wisconsin's own native son, Tom Blake... I thank you.

Being a surfer, I loved this book. Blake lived the true life of a surfer.
