As usual, Mallory Monroe's writing was at the top! I like the mention of Mick the tick and his family as well as Monk Panetti who helps the couple in their need. This was a good read.

What a ride that was?! I'm so glad that Hood and Max found their peace at last. And Max found his cover. And Max sister Jennifer... That story needs to be told. Breena, what a tool she turned out to be! She's a true piece of work. I knew she was involved with the disappearance all along. I love the way Max lover his cover Hood💕🔥

Mallory Monroe has me on the edge of my seat about the outcome of this story. Hood Riley and Maxwell Cassidy are back from their honeymoon when business calls. A blast from Maxwell's past comes back making an unreasonable demand. A lot of secrets Maxwell wasn't privy to come out as Maxwell learns that his sister is alive. Now while I am happy that Maxwell did not abandon Hood. I was a little perplexed by the fact that his sister had no formal training while in the care of her father. I wasn't disappointed in this story except I wanted to throat-punch Hood's sister, Rita.

A Very Good Suspenseful Interracial Romantic Thriller
Hood Riley and the Ice Man: Just When I Needed You Most is a very good suspenseful interracial romantic thriller that earned a rating of four stars. I enjoyed reading the this exciting installment of Hood Riley and Maxwell Cassedy romance. In this book Hood and Maxwell ha be to fight for their love and their family from unknown enemies. I would recommend this book to everyone who loves reading good romantic thrillers.

Not a rave
Nice catch up on this couple. Still not happy with grammatical errors dotted around in this book. Isn't a proof reader or editor checking this out before it's released?
I would have given better star rating if it wasn't for the errors spotted. Hood and Max just 2 months into marriage already facing being targeted by his old flame Breena Novak. She was apparently being used as well from moment Max met her, with numerous sugar daddy's she had in her life, you knew she was trouble.
Young Max only used her for sex, no future commitment from him, his sister is kidnapped and 17yrs later the full story comes our. She is his half sister, product of his mother affair with her husband business partner. High flyers are never faithful!
So Jen is alive and Max is out to rescue her and not fail her again, all searching continue to find the key person holding her. Riley family are annoying especially sister Rita. She came across as jealous of Hood's position with Max. Ending was good liked the epilogue too story ending.

Maxwell Cassidy was caught between a rock and a hard place with the demands his ex, Breena Novak put on him. But there was more behind the demands. He was not divorcing Hood for anything. There were too many questions as to why and who. He felt responsible for his kid sister's disappearance. But his realization of who was present when it originally happened gave him a clue to find her. Hood was right there with him. She had his back, regardless of what her sister's opinion was on Hood's relationship with Max.
Mallory knows how to write a mystery story. This story took a turn I was not expecting. That backstory had me scratching my head. The story was enjoyable and attention-keeping.

Family Will secrets
WOW! I finished this book in one day! This story line was well written and I loved every twist and turn. MAX and Hood love is unbelievable and sexy too! I totally recommend this book. I’m a hard core Mallory fan and this new series is one I look forward to reading.

Great "who done it"

What a rollercoaster...
In this case as Max and Hood should have been enjoying their new life together all mayhem breaks lose from his past...and be that as it may a happy ending was still in the making at the end which made the rollercoaster worth the while...mz.Mallory has done it again so there just has to be another because Breena is still out there waiting for a chance opportunity to strike again👏👍😆😀😃😁😄😅😂😉😏😊😎😍😘💓💗💞💘🙋💃🏾😈

She is a beautiful, smart young woman, but don’t mess with her if you don’t want to see her lived up to her name. Max and her are well suited… but for a powerful man like Max nicknamed : The ice Man, who gives orders but never had to take orders from nobody , Hood Reily Cassidy has to show her loving , overbearing protective husband she can hold her own . But, my goodness, Rita got on my last nerves with her negative attitude… Gee louise!!!
I like Ricky and Jason, hopefully we will get his story!!

Good book!
At the beginning of the book I was worried, but it all worked out as only Ms. Monroe knows how! After all the adversities that Max went through, he and Hood found their happy ending. I liked that Hood's family was included in this book also, and found their happiness! Thanks, Ms. Monroe for a very good book!

MAX and HOOD
Max and Hood. Batman and Robin. Husband and Wife are a dynamite team. Ms. Mallory keeps on doing it. This book was great. I love how she intertwines the characters from her other books into the story lines. Hood is definitely the alpha woman and I love her and Max together. I can’t wait for the next book in their story.

Great story , I I've had this book a little while so January late night reading. Opened this book . I was surprised I really enjoyed this book .Seem more like a mystery, with no one looking at the real bad guy. Hood and Max interesting couple, Hope to see more from these two .

This Was good!
Enough said! I love this rag to riches series. The author did a great job developing each individual to the point of possibly having a story of their own. I love Max and how he refuse to let anyone disrespect wife. And I love Hood how she refused to let Rita talk her into some foolishness. Loved the ending as well. Great job!

This second chapter of Maxwell & Hood's stoty was very well developed and paced. Lots of action and suspense.
The family dynamics only improve with the events.
However, I must complain about the editing. There are way to many grammar and syntax errors. And, it seemed the author forgot the timing of events several times.

I just love this author's work. Hey I will totally own that this is one of my favourite author's, I find her writing engrossing and entertaining. It has me so disappointed when I get to the end 😞. So that said you know I am going to recommend.

The part I read was so not good. I hated this book. I am so glad I didn't buy any more of these books. When I would see these books, they were not "read for free" books. If they are anything like this one, I dodged a bullet. Not a fan.

Mallory Monroe is an awesome author. When you start reading one of her books, you can't put it down. The story line keeps you guessing at who's good and who's bad. I love the mystery.

As I stated the beginning was so slow, but once the OTHER woman shows up things brighten up. Hood did seem like she bowed to her husband but we see her in a different light when he's in danger.
