The Fall of Terra is Book 1 in Illuminated: Carriers of Light Series by Linda Gabriel. Oh my! This book is so good and different. Terra is at total harmony with the All until evil, Abbadon, decided to devour their light and bring chaos. I really like that the author took the time to lay a solid foundation for this book as well as the series. The characters are excellent and well written. This fantasy is outstanding and I believe that this series is not to be missed. I am anxiously waiting for book 2, Illuminated: The Book of Miracles. I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I really liked the concept of this book, as well as the world building. Overall it was a cool story. I felt at times we were following too many different characters’ stories so it made it really difficult to keep up with everything going on, while also being paced fairly slowly.
I’m rating it 3 stars because while I liked the concept, getting through the reading was a bit rough because of the pacing
The idyllic life of the All calls to me. The descriptions and details are enthralling. I finished the book before I was ready, never wanting to put it down. The characters are relatable and appealing, as is the lush environment before Abbadon. I felt lost when the story ended, wanting it to go on and on! Can’t wait for the next in the series to be released.
