ET TU BRUTE? FALL CAESAR Julius Caesar was a very fun and challenging read for me. I read it almost entirely in the Shakespearian English, but some times it made more sense to reread parts of the book in modern English. I enjoyed reading the famous lines that I’ve heard from the play. I also watched the movie after I finished the book. I am not used to reading dialogue without narration, or reading plays, so Julius Caesar was challenging. I had to come up with different voices in my head for each character, and I tried to visualize as much as I could. Before I read Julius Caesar, I thought he was a great leader. In the book, it switches the way you think of Caesar between a tyrant and a tragic hero. Alan Durband did a very good translating it into modern English for easier reading. It took me about two weeks to read.
