I enjoyed this possible one and done series. Kind of reminded me of the Joe Gall books by Philip Atlee.

Steve Savage is a London based spy agent whose cover is that of a magazine photographer. He’s assignment is to become part of a scuba diving scavenger crew that is led by a defected Russian. Seems this sub was a Nazi sub and contains 100 million dollars in gold bunion. The Russian has formed a crew of men with criminal pasts to go down and retrieve it.

Things are not as they seem though when the Russian’s story keeps changing, things start getting sabotaged and the crew rescues a mysterious woman out at sea. Next thing you know people start dying and double crosses start happening. On top of all that the Nazi sub is booby trapped for anyone trying to find out it’s hidden secrets.

Pretty good action and suspense. Good amount of violence and some nice twists. Shame that there were not more Steve Savage adventures because I would have loved to have read more.
