Rate this book
LEARNING LOGIC is an interactive and poweful CD-based program designed to patiently tutor students through the key concepts and chapters of Hurley's CONCISE INTRODUCTION TO LOGIC, 7th. The system uses the full capabilities of the computer with text, sound, and motion to dynamically present topics. With simple mouse clicks, students can go through examples and exercises at their own pace to master the concepts of logic. Sequenced cartoons and illustrations provide a rich context that helps to reinforce concepts and make for a truly memorable learning experience. This release of LEARNING LOGIC covers key topics from Chapters 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. A follow up version will incorporate the three remaining chapters. LEARNING LOGIC is available on CD as a separate item and may be bundled with the text at a substantial savings; or, is available as a site license in Lab Pack form. A sample of the program may be viewed by going to the Learning Logic section of the Logic Resource CD, packed in every copy of CONCISE INTRODUCTION TO LOGIC, 7th. LEARNING LOGIC works on both IBM and Macintosh platforms and uses Macromedia's Shockwave technology. Its use does not require one to be online, but does require the use of either Netscape or Explorer browsers with the Flash plug-in. Flash is available as a free download.
