Despite having a great job and a solid group of friends, Margaret Parton feels like something is missing; almost as if she is behind in life and the only person that doesn't have it all "figured out." One day, while at her favorite coffee shop, Mr. Americano enters Margaret's life and sweeps her off her feet. Thanks to Mr. Americano and a series of seemingly perfect dates, Margaret experiences the whirlwind romance she's always dreamed of. But will it be enough? The reality of growing up and falling in love combine in Addison Rose's contemporary romance novel, Mr. Americano. Whether you've already done both or are still in the process, everything happens for a reason, and the best is yet to come.
Such a sweet romance! I loved how relatable the story and characters were! The descriptions helped me feel like I was right there with Mr. Americano. Also, I loved the reminder to not rush love and that everything will work out in the end. ❤️
Mr. Americano is the perfect blend of all the little moments essential for a romance novel, from accidental brushes of the hand at the coffee counter to sidelong glances and heart pounding "Just SAY something!" frustrations. Margaret's personal growth in finding herself and melding into her newfound career is engaging, humorous, and reminds the reader that perhaps we should dedicate more allotted time for our friends, even amidst our collective career chasing, wedding planning, baby-prepping craziness. Hayes gently comes to us as a once-shattered soul whose struggles only seem to climb and leave us aching to reach into the pages and give him a much needed hug. He stands as the novel's symbol to us of managing the genuinely stressful, tumultuous grief-life balance.
When you pick up Mr. Americano, you do so to become Margaret's friend. Goodness knows she would support you, take you as you are, and take you out for the best drinks while she's at it. She is a wholesome breath of fresh air to the romance genre. In the end, Mr. Americano will undoubtedly turn you into the talking-out-loud-to-a-novel-in-a-coffee-shop kind of crazy. For fans of classy, head-spinning, heartbreaking love stories, Mr. Americano is for you.
Penelope Grace gives the pages a much needed "aww" at just the right times. If you have a pup like I do, these belly rub demanding moments grip you hook, line, and sinker.
When you read a book in 24 hours, it is pretty obvious that it is a 5-star book. Mr. Americano was a breath of fresh air and so realistic. It was too easy to relate to Margaret embracing a new season and a new city. This book really captured the chaos of the variety of life stages that twentysomethings are in. Everyone has different relationships status’, career aspirations, and long-term goals. It can feel disorienting and lonely at times because the friends you had everything in common with in college feel a little distant.
This was a delightful romance to read, and I am very excited to see what else Addison Rose writes!!
This book was INCREDIBLE. I read entirely on my recent roundtrip flight. It evokes a variety of emotions including joy, giddiness, heartache, and most of all hope. You get a front row seat to Margaret and Hayes' love story that Addison artfully depicts through every sentence choice. This story was so relatable, causing you to be present, reflective, and look forward with peace simultaneously. As Addison re-iterated, "the best is yet to come." Excited to see what's next for this passionate author!

Such a cute and refreshing read, especially for those girls who are transitioning out of college into “adulthood”. Can’t wait to pick up this author’s next release.
