Nine days later, he followed the rules and went to bed early in preparation for the Division Two play-off final—and ended up getting sent off as his side was defeated by West Bromwich Albion. While at Plymouth, Swan suffered a terrible time—shunned by fellow players, despised by supporters, and living alone in a haunted house. Very insightful view of what a professional football (soccer) players life was like in the late 80s through to the early 2000s. Most enjoyable.!

Wouldn't have bought this myself but received it as a present. I've read quite a few footballer's biographies and this was pretty typical of the genre. Written well enough to be an easy read, and entertaining for fans of the game.
